Moenkopi makes too much sense. Incorporating in-game resets to rp as a prerequisite is just ridiculous and should be frowned upon. As she mentioned, one can easily purchase a maxed-reset account, just like some of you are doing, to advance in rp, which wouldn't be fair for others that have spend their time rping to acquire power. Of course, there are you lot that also spend time obtaining your precious resets, but do remember that's just an in-game buff. You shouldn't mix rp and in-game buffs with one another. Disregard this opinion or not, I just felt like giving you my two cents on this matter.

From the Edo Tensei to the Edo Jigoku organization, the original scroll remains there, in those chambers. I have said this before. Only I know its whereabouts.

I don't fancy the "rules" that these 8-something people have conjured, so I shall too be picky with whom I rp with. If I'm praised or hated for it, then so be it.

Community? Look around. You will only see 8 people here at most. Any rp rules here will never be official. So just go ahead, and claim snake sage if you wish. I won't stop you. Your judges will be the rest of the 100-something members of SL that you'll encounter in rp. They'll either accept you or void you.

I agree. It's almost like Shadow's trying to enforce his own rules, ones outside the Naruto world, just to further his cause.

@Bocchiere: Problem with that is that if I were to create my custom, animal summoning, and let it hold its contract. Other people could just say that they "somehow" found a way to meet my summoning, and that it allowed them to summon it.

@Shadow: That's exactly why I don't acknowledge the claim that in-game resets entitles someone with certain rp powers. In-game resets are just tools to help you obtain dks faster. Nothing more or less than that.  Of course, it is now a trend to use those resets to claim powers, but doing such isn't an official rule. I have 6 rinnegan resets, but that doesn't mean that I am entitled to possess the rinnegan, now does it? Of course not.

Anyway... I don't think I need to add anything more.  I already threw my two cents in the wishing well.

You cannot claim more than one animal. (You cant have a purple bear and green seal.)
You wish to limit Rinnegan users? I'm for it. If that isn't your intention, then this rule is useless.

If the person holding the contract dies it goes to the next person who signed it.
I am rather fond that the contract is unattainable for some time if the possessor dies. The community of sl will eventually find a way to claim lost contracts. Let it be free game.

If the person holding the contract goes inactive. (More than 60 days or until char deletion of 90+ days) The contract is given to the person who signed it after them. If there is no one to inherit it, it's free game.If the person comes back, tough luck.
Why not apply this rule to every ninjutsu and see how that goes?

Any animal contract can have it's own individual sage mode and secret location if wanted.
3000 different snake sage mode, huh?

This whole thing is nonsense. They're more than 3000 species of snakes, each with unique traits. Should 3000 shinobi claim specific snakes now? Eagles and Hawks belong in the same family, yet differ in size. I think someone just wanted eagles or hawks so badly that they chose to claim certain species in the family. Shadow, all you're doing right now is destroying creativity and freedom. Shame on you.

Village Square / Re: Jashinism
« on: April 26, 2014, 06:37:39 AM »
On other rp sites, choosing to become a Jashinist means to surrender all elemental ninjutsu and bloodlines. They do that because immortality is too OP, and because Jashin doesn't allow it or something. I forget exactly the rules to it. But those rules and standards won't work on SL because this site isn't an rp site.

Frankly, how I wish it to be. If Neji would officially announce an rp administrator, things could change. Nevertheless, until that happens, I don't see the point of debuffing Jashinists here. Let the forrests run free.

Uetto, I applaud you for having such bravery to nerf your character. As I said before, the reason why rpers currently are overpowered is because most of them can't rp, so they must become OP in hopes of prolonging their short-lived lives. It's humorous how they always choose to become OP instead of sharpening their rp prowess and writing skills. Writing is so underestimated these days, don't you think?

Now... I hope your cause won't have pseudo-Madaras, like the ones we have running around lately, in this community you speak of. I can strongly say that I'm not OP. It would be an honor and a privilege to help your cause.

24
Oh come on Dark, "you all" makes it sound like you don't find yourself OP at all.  :P

Dark? Who the hell is that? My name is Shinro, aka Pete. I will find it an insult if you're confusing me with that Darkshinobi person that started this topic.

And I'm not OP. Not at all. I only used one element and a cursed mark when I was rp-active. I have no bloodlines nor hacked cells. I haven't even once used Edo Tensei, a verboten jutsu I introduced publicly, in battle. I refused to disgrace my character by using such OP powers against any opponent. I originally designed Edo Tensei to revive comrades that died in rp after rp-dying became acceptable. So what's so "OP" about me? Nothing. And although I have limited my character greatly, I can still wipe the floor up with the faces of numerous, OP shinobi. I've proven that many times in the past.

Anyway... I'm done tossing my two cents on this topic. The limit that I suggested is enough. I hope you guys make the right choice.

25
Hiraishin no Jutsu's markings should be sensed by sensors because of the chakra the user has to place on them. That would be the only limit I find sensible to place on this jutsu.

@ Trev: The OPness of that Otogakure barrier is beyond any jutsu Bocchiere has ever used; I never thought I'd be the one saying that. But let's face it -- you're all OP, so you must use OP jutsus and rp OPly (it's now a word). Aside from the limitation I've suggested, Hiraishin shouldn't be weakened anymore. Case closed.

Feature Requests / Otogakure in Ze Gypsy Tent
« on: April 06, 2014, 08:59:06 AM »
Just like almost every village's chat square can be accessed in Ze Gypsy Tent, is it possible to add Otogakure to that list? Although we can't be born into Otogakure, most Oto ninjas still rp in the chat square of that country. The thing is, we can't access Otogakure unless we travel, and sometimes we don't have enough points to do so. I don't see the harm with this request. It seems easy enough.

Simple soliton. Request Neji to limit us to only being able to choice one choice in game reset. No kg stacking.

I'd vote and pay for that to happen.

"What's the point in rp training if you could lose it all in a flash?"

That question has been ask to me a few times by novice rpers.

http://forum.shinobilegends.com/index.php/topic,7906.msg212916.html#new

So why don't people rp anymore? Hear the cold truth, and then do something about it.

Adding: Also, as I see it, in-game buffs have nothing to do with true rp. This illusion most of you fall for is just pathetic. Wake up.

In the past, we didn't have this problem because the death of a char wasn't permanent. After being killed,  one could've simply learn from their mistakes, sharpen their rp, and resume playing as their favorite char. Fear has struck rpers now that it's the norm to die; thus, resulting in them becoming overpowered in hopes of lessening their chances of dying. This is fact. It's the cold, cold truth.  Standards will never exist as long as death is a certainty.

If you want to change this, by all means, as a community, make the norm of dying a choice that could be agreed upon before engaging in rp. Then, and only then, can we finally have standards, knowledgeable rpers, and more rp. This problem is so very easy to fix. Wake up. Accept that fear of death is true in this realm and in the real world. Get rid of fear by providing security, something that humans need in order to move forward. Heed my words, for they are an absolute truth.

Our community could birth another golden age of rp, that is, if you wish it to. It's all up to you.
