Because this song of all songs needed a cover.

Or a more appropriate song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aF9AJm0RFc is a classic cover that pretty much everyone agrees has surpassed the original song.

I'll be honest I didn't read the whole thing. But...I'm excited for some new powerups to train when I get around to watching it <.<

Well I should elaborate.  When you re-create your character you're not undoing everything that character did, that character can still exist in the universe, it's just you're dropping writing their story and picking up a new somewhat similar one.

At least that's what I think of as a solution to what Kay brought up.  You don't want to undo everything that people did with you.

Go for it.

Good old boy Sabu has done this a few times if I'm not mistaken.

"A few"

But yeah, sure.  Re-invent away.

Bijuu Arena / Re: Bijuu Rules Question

There are always going to be loopholes and exploits in any set of rules unless they are rigid to an extreme, which usually causes more harm than good.

The key is to use common sense in combination with the rules to avoid any blatant abuse.

So this is my first forum post and those who don't know me well I've been called an above-average RPer (I won't go as far as say 'great' as I'm not one to push my luck). One point I haven't seen put in to argument is everyone is born to TWO parents. So if this were to be put in to place does this mean your character only gets their abilities from one and the other was just a mediocre shinobi or even a non-shinobi? Granted Chu only has one actual bloodline ability (Futton), his other two main abilities being an implanted Byakugan and Usagi Sennin Modo. Heck, I don't even use that eye much anymore.

On the topic of getting abilities from both parents that is up for debate really.  We can't say for certain how Kekkei Genkai are passed on genetically, but the canon seems clear that one KG is normal (and they're not even shared by everyone in the clan, such as the Yuki bloodline.) while having multiple is either the result of genetic experimentation or extremely rare, akin to something like Heterochromia iridum (two different colored eyes in the same person).

Village Square / Re: Voiding of all new techniques past chapter 600?
« on: July 16, 2014, 10:11:04 AM »
While I do agree that a lot of stuff needs to be ignored, I can't say for certain yet that EVERYTHING should be voided.  Perhaps there's still a chance a new jutsu that isn't OP might pop up from someone else.  I'm not fond of blanket voids, as this opens the door for potential crazyness.  But I do agree the jutsu in general so far have been void-worthy xD

I believe it's moreso that since she has pretty much given birth to all ninja that she can use any KG as it all originated from her blood.

I mean that would make every KG a 'great' kekkei genkai >.>

Then you claimed it without meeting the requirements of the technique AS STATED in the Anime. You were not, and have never been on those two accounts, a hunter nin of Kirigakure, and you were not, and will never be, taught by a hunter nin of Kirigakure. That wiki page was made that short time ago, if that is even the case, because of our lack of use of the wiki, and really, the very little weight we put into it because of the people who like to exploit it.

We tend to use Narutopedia for our information. I've posted the link to that page; I'm curious, since when are we going to start ignoring things to the Wiki that contains all of the information on the series?

I do wonder about the requirement for being a hunter-nin.  The 'official' wiki states that it was used by A hunter-nin.  Not that the jutsu is used exclusively BY hunter-nin.  Although yes, many hunter-nin and ANBU types know all sorts of fancy jutsu does the anime ever say exactly where this jutsu comes from?  Was he only taught it from kirigakure?  Did he come up with it himself?

The nature of the vagueness of a jutsu like this to me gives it reason to be more of a claimable thing because there is no real ORIGIN of this jutsu other than "a kirigakure hunter-nin used it"  Whereas things like the nara clan are much harder to claim because they have a solid place of origin (also it should be noted that it's not a village that controls nara so much as the nara clan itself).

Also I believe more people would be on your side Isa if you weren't trying to take away a jutsu that's been used for so long by so many without incident until now.  There is a certain advantage to using the forums.  If you guys noticed this problem occurring like you said on a small scale back whenever it would have been much easier to start a discussion and keep it under kirigakure's control legitimately.

To suddenly instill this rule when a majority of people didn't know it existed now would be...silly in my opinion.  If Kirigakure has been following this rule it was never made clear to the rest of the community that it was meant to be kept secret.  That is the main difference between things like Edo and Hiraishin and this.

I've had this jutsu for....I don't even know how long now xD  Not to mention I was using something similar before they series actually came up with it. >.>

So I'll hand the damn thing out fo' free if anyone wants to say someone's gotta teach you.

I thought Tracey handled most of the issues already? I didn't see any RP after her decision so I just thought someone was inactive or something.  O.o

Village Square / Re: Genjutsu in SL
« on: June 07, 2014, 09:52:45 AM »
Perssoooonally I believe that one should always say what they are doing in the post they use it.  So Genjutsu should be stated in the post of it's beginning.

Buuut I do understand the reasoning for people not doing that as everyone would immediately just go "oh I figured that out, now I'm out of it in one turn!"

Genjutsu in general has a weird balance issue in RP.  If you're incapacitated by one for even a single turn, your opponent can end you right then and there, but if you shrug all of them off then they're useless.  So it's hard for them to find a correct level that would leave them balanced, yeah?

I've always thought that Genjutsu were to be used as a tool to mentally exhaust your opponent and not make them open to physical attack (at least from an RP perspective.)  So when I use genjutsu (which is extremely rare) I tend to either make it so the effects have a weird distorted time so what they experience in the genjutsu was only a fraction of a second in real life OR have my character simply revel in their weakened state and not abuse the giant opening.

Essentially a good genjutsu in my use would simply leave the opponents mind in a more vulnerable state, put them on edge, or make them less capable of making rational decisions in the continuing fight. That's just my half-assed idea though since I don't really dabble in their use too heavily myself xD

Village Square / Re: Is this banned?
« on: June 07, 2014, 09:42:42 AM »
Honestly?  I don't see a reason for it to be banned, but then again I'm pretty lenient on banning things altogether.

Anything can be fair if it's used right.  (It should be noted that 'right' in this instance just means in a way that is fun for everyone involved in the RP.)
