Title: Who trained you in SL? [If you had anyone]
Post by: Suishou Koji on December 30, 2012, 08:02:38 AM
It's one of those nights where I actually feel like posting something that I'm actually curious about.

And for those older folks...like me...who can't remember, just say 'Too old to remember' or something like that.

Koji's had many people who trained him throughout his long life so it's going to be a long list. I'll name a few along with those who just helped out here and there.

-Sytachi [Don't know if anyone remembers that name]

-Zenaku

-Tommi

-Uetto [Kirk]

-Rare [Fifty]

Gyururu, Varu and... I want to say Ace.

Three people long-since gone.

I got trained in so many ways. xD

Teachers (sort of):

Rares

Hide

Some unnamed guy who taught me how to level [he cleverly didn't leave his name in the PM I archived.] Funny, I only actually follow parts of it, but I still have it. xD

Zoning partners:

Nathan (practice buddy)

Kyuubigirl (practice buddy)

(others whose names I fail to remember)

Murcielago (practice buddy)

Mokoto [Unless account changed hands] (Not every fight that is important to me am I gonna win. xD)

How to build and run a clan:

LightningX (recruitment)

(someone else, though I forget her name; she taught me that nice looking rank titles can be attractive too)

I don't think I've forgotten anyone here. If I have, remind meh... Much of this was before my 'break' from SL, during which break everything seemed to go towards madness here on SL.

Only person who trained Bocch in rp (in more ways than one) is Zen.

I learned through battles so i'd say early on it was

Kayenta
Raifudo
Tetsujin
Jin
Mei
Mariko

Other than those in the beginning i've learned from everybody i've ever encountered on SL. So i guess SL taught me  8)

Not really teachers, but helped me a lot: Rares and Nathan
Other people that also gave good advices and answered questions: Eric,Uetto,Yumei and Takeo (allowed me to use the Wolves as summons)

Never had any form of teacher or master, learned my skills rp wise on my own & as far as actual teachers for rp skills or what not learned through just rping I guess.

Actual training would be Tsunumi and Varu, through battle it was Lebis. And I'm sure I learned something or another from my step-son Kamui. Soooo big names .-.

I've taught myself more or less, and still have much more to learn. I've never had any "formal" training, but if anyone taught me anything (through me observing and imitating before branching off into my own thing) It would be Sevilon and Trev as I remember practicing with them years ago when I first started to RP.

Then a few years back I sorta fought Bocchiere as I began resetting and he inspired me to better myself (through kicking my arse twice). Same goes for NarutoUzumaki/any of his alts, as well as Athos.

I guess you could say I learn through trial and error or the old inspiration gig. Beat me down and i'll strive to rise above. I've got a long way to go.

Meh, never actually had an rp sensei, but had people to help guide me when I first started out, like Shadow and Solo. Everything else I learned through rp, or more specifically people I lost to. So thanks Bocc for attacking Otogakure all the time (Which really sped up my need to be better) and my last official loss for teaching me to be more detailed in my post, goes to good ol Pete. Was just one battle, but it was enough.

So, props to:
Shadow
Solo
Bocc
Pete

RP wise? Zenaku and FlamingChaos but neither of them taught me much. Zenaku I can't remember if it was because I didn't ask or what, but yeah he didn't help much. FC helped but then eventually went inactive. Questions, leveling, etc.? The following are the ones I can remember:

Rai'
Zenaku
Reimu
Rare

And, that's every one who I can currently remember. Any who, other then them I just learned from experience.

A little bit of everyone trained me with how bloodlusted I was with zoning back in the ol' days.

Most notably Andrei and TripleBlitz.

TB more since he and I would toss each other ideas on jutsu to make; Andrei and I would just spar... a lot.

Well when it comes to sparring me? Trust me, I was spared.
To date...I have never won a match.

I've asked some people to be my teacher back in the old days. Like Zen and Pete. But they both did the same thing and kicked my ass in one post instead of actually teaching me anything. Well, I guess Zen did teach me one thing. Fear Mokuton Shuriken. @.@

Hmm, no one really trained me. I definitely need a trainer - especially in role playing.

Tsuyo to some extent. I begged Rakudo before I met Tsuyo when I had just started the game but he rejected me. I should be ashamed to admit that.

You know Rakudo was me right? I don't train anyone though, not officially anyway. Best way to learn is  by doing and you don't need a teacher for that. Though I do answer questions if asked. :D

I trained myself. While that is true, I do tend to ask a few select people for advice and if my wording in a post makes sense or is just crap. For the latter I thank Bocc, Trev, Hazama, and the other few random people I ask.

Nope, whole time you knew him it was me. It used to be someone else but not for a while.

I asked Nathan a lot of questions.
The rest trial and error.

Plus zoning helps a great deal.
