If that's true, what if someone else drank it? Would they convert it to chakra? Seems like a good way to get out of a water prison. You're getting hydrated AND gaining chakra.

I think so. But if the user did it, they wouldn't be gaining that much back due to how much they expended to use in the first place.

Village Square / Re: Defending against Amaterasu
« on: April 10, 2015, 02:56:09 PM »
A) Naruto was not immediately burned by the black flames as a direct result of his tailed beast cloak chakra "armor" (for the sake of context)

B) The cloak did not stretch in order to get rid of the Amaterasu.

C) Either Sasuke manually extinguished the flames or the flames went away some other way, since when Naruto doesn't have his cloak and he goes in to get Sasuke he not only has performed the shadow clone jutsu (which requires two hands mind you) but clearly does not have a serious burn on either of his hands, meaning the black flames became non-factor at some point.

It kind of looks like Naruto flings off the chakra cloak that was getting burned. Basically, taking the part that was getting burned and slinging it off as if it was a giant booger or something. So, the part of the cloak that got flung off was still getting burned. But technically, all we're doing here is inferring based off of what we saw. Until it's animated, we might not know what happened.

That is what I'm guessing happened, seems similar to the weakness of the Amaterasu being slow burning so the victim could remove any clothes set ablaze before burned. I think Amaterasu can indeed burn through chakra, we've seen it completely snuff out a Katon jutsu and burn through A's Lightning Release Chakra Mode. I say it is just hard for the flames to burn through high grade defences, depending on what they are. Which is going to take Amaterasu longer to burn, a room full of paper or a room full of rocks?

Like suppose a ninja is thirsty, could s/he use water release to quench themselves? Or wood release to make some banana trees?

Spam / Re: Pokemon or Digimon?
« on: April 10, 2015, 03:21:53 AM »
I liked Digimon more for watching, until Data Squad, then it was just over for me. While very similar to Pokemon in terms of "kids befriend and use monsters to fight", it is different in terms of direction of story. We got a chance to see our characters grow and develop as people. The struggles they faced trumps what the people in Pokemon go through and it taught more than it ever did.

But for playing, Pokemon puts Digimon six feet under. I've played very few Digimon games when I was younger, but I remember them as not being fun. Like the Digimon World games, all of them sucked to me and I stopped playing anymore Digimon after World 4. They were dull and lonesome, Pokemon was lively and had all my friends trading and sharing stories about how they got Mewtwo, tricked some kid to trading a Bulbasuar card for a Moltres, or discovered Missingno.

Bijuu Arena / Re: Madara vs Rusaku
« on: April 06, 2015, 05:23:04 AM »
If the Uchiha had concealed his chakra, he would have been unable to sense the arrival of his soon to be foe. As Rusaku makes his way towards him, Madara would turn to the approaching signature a bit anxious, as somewhere inside he craved his status as Jinchuriki would draw forth conflict. He would let out a small cackle,"My, so brash. Go home before you get yourself hurt child..." Madara would see with the use of his Sharingan, that there was chakra focused into the eyes of his opponent, signifying to him the use of a Doujutsu,"But if not, show me your might..my eyes yearn for it.."

An unyielding aura of maliciousness would expel from the ancient shinobi, a type of enmity very few could think one man could hold. Chomei knew this feeling all too well, but knew such an animus was controlled, focused by Madara's sublime goal and his discipline. Like an ominous eclipse, the Uchiha's Sakki, Killing Intent, threatens to dwarf the confidence of the weak willed, drowning their hopes in a sea of unrelenting hate, possibly causing a paralysis like effect. Though such a thing is possible, Madara doubted it would act as anything but a warning sign to Rusaku, showing the man that Madara had complete intentions on killing him.

No light thrashing, no toying around, but complete domination. As Madara would speak, his eyes would take a unique transformation and something would appear to be crawling under his skin. One of his sclera would turn completely
violet, the three encircling tomoe around the pupil would interlock, becoming a complete circle around it. Several others would appear as well, forming a ripple like pattern, extending from the iris to the sclera.

The color of his other eye would not change, however the pattern of it would. His Sharingan would evolve into his Eternal Mangekyo, appearing as three large tomoe with circles at their tops overlapping each their at the bottoms, with thick straight lines stretching outward and encircling the pupil. Manipulating his bones via Shikotsumyaku, the aged man would form layer of very dense bone beneath the epidermis of his skin, stronger than tempered steel.

Such a dense bone would also be formed from the bottom of his feet, growing and extending outward underground until erupting beneath Rusaku as three deadly pillars, threatening to skewer him like a Christmas hog. The speed at which the bones grow would be incredible as it would only take a few moments for the osseous matter to span the distance between the two.

This match is 1v1 IC, following the exact rules from above, albeit an amended use of some custom Space-Time Ninjutsu from opponent. Bios, weapons, and abilities have been accepted as they are.

Madara can be seen walking in an almost empty grassland , the sun shining brightly, spreading a warmth throughout the area.He would be accompanied by his will extension, Black Zetsu. He would be hidden within the confines of the Uchiha's armor, chatting with Madara via their mental link, "Until we get back to Ame, you should conceal your chakra, the prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty..." Madara would respond by activating his three tomoe Sharingan as a precautionary measure,"Can't. Doing that leaves us more susceptible. But I understand the concern, Chomei tends to be a beacon for trouble..." A sickeningly upbeat voice would chime in on the mental conversation, "Hey, relax! I'm called LUCKY Seven Chomei for a reason!" Madara would ask rather bluntly,"Oh really? Is that what others call you, or just yourself?" Suddenly, a phenomenon would occur...the Tailed Beast was silent. Madara's head wasn't filled with the ramblings of the beetle, an event truly to be recorded in the annals of history, "Thats what I thought.."

Bijuu Arena / Re: Bijuu gathering Senjutsu chakra?
« on: February 07, 2015, 06:36:19 PM »
There's also these pages as well. This one describes how the Juubi's chakras is just like a huge mass of Natural Energy.

http://www.mangastream.to/naruto-chapter-611-page-7.html

And this one shows Kurama meditating to create more chakra.

http://www.mangastream.to/naruto-chapter-612-page-9.html

So if the Tailed Beasts are the by-product of separating the Juubi from it's chakras, then it's safe to say that they are completely composed of chakra formed from Natural Energy. This is also probably why they can apparently respawn after being killed.

A good way of looking at it from that line of thinking, but ultimately I would have to disagree. I had a similar train of thought when the Juubi was first introduced that it would have all the powers of the Tailed Beasts in one, which it doesn't. It has its own unique abilities just like the rest of them do aside from Tailed Beast Ball. So I say the Natural Energy composition is unique only to the Juubi otherwise the following would not make sense:

1. If this were the case it would have been mentioned way beforehand, especially by Jiraiya who had to fight off Naruto's Four Tailed Version 2 state (yet nothing of Natural Energy or Senjutsu is mentioned) or Naruto when he encountered the Tailed Beasts or fought Kurama.

2. All the shinobi who were given chakra during the war should have been petrified along with anyone else who absorbed Tailed Beast chakra,  has it in their system, or atleast showed signs of severe mutation, meaning all Jinchuriki should have died unless each one had a Sage Mode.

3. Tailed Beast chakra and Senjutsu chakra would be virtually synonymous.

4. Like others mentioned, Naruto would not need to infuse the Natural Energy from his surroundings, all he would need is Kurama's chakra, and boom near infinite Sage Mode. Kurama himself had to gather Natural Energy, if any part of him had that, it would then make it pointless.

The Tailed Beast are much like Asura and Indra, their chakra still remains after death and they go through reincarnation, not so much any Natural Energy involvement, they are just immortal like that. Kurama gathering the energy for Naruto most likely from a watch and learn experience.

Zetsu would relay to Madara through their mental link of the ninja before him and his bug companion. Madara would snicker, telling himself he should have known it to be a beetle. The grin is accompanied by a sinister glare with his three tomoe Sharingan, Madara knowing full well Kaze can see him. He would make a gun gesture with both his hands, having his thumbs raising above his fists to act as the hammer, and index and middle fingers acting as the barrel.

"But don't you see? You are right where you need to be.."

A few seconds after these words, a hail of 50 steel piercing bone bullets would come from behind Zetsu, threatening to turn Kaze and his animal into a pile of diced meat, akin to ground beef. If unhindered by the time it reaches Zetsu, the homunculus would partition it's body to allow the attack full access to his new combatant. After it does, his shape would become more amorphous as he makes his way underground. Using Shikotsumyaku, the Uchiha would have fired off hardened distal phalanges in an instant, nearly regenerating them just as fast to allow for a virtually limitless rate of fire. In a few seconds, they spin through the air, capable of gouging into metal, skin, flesh, and bone, spanning the distance between Madara and Kaze. This of course was a warm up for Madara to analyze his foe's moves as he moves in, following a close ten feet behind his bullets.

Village Square / Re: Byakugan -> Tenseigan

To give a Tenseigan user the ability to use Senjutsu greatly throws things off balance and they would have to give something up to offset the difference.

Did you just use the word balance when referring to SL? I mean sure technically you can't have all 8 kg at once, but other than that there is no balance at all. The game is completely broken.

I mean in terms of Sage Mode being the antithesis of the Rinnegan, atleast how we treat it. Think about it this way, Shippuden spent an entire arc finding out the weaknesses of Pain and how to bypass the abilities of the Rinnegan. The moment the Doujutsu made center stage, an opposite power was demonstrated by Jiraiya that allowed him to almost put things on equal grounds. Then Naruto, a ninja with no known special skills, aside from Kurama, was able to face the embodiment of each Rinnegan abilities with an even stronger version of Sage Mode. It give him a body that could withstand the heavy blows of Deva Path, chakra that couldn't be absorbed by Preta Path (without deadly consequences), speed and strength to outmaneuver and beat down the various summons of Animal Path, and strong enough ninjutsu to demolish the augmented armor of Asura Path. Leaving a 3 Path advantage over Sage Mode, while the Senjutsu user had the use of Natural Energy that could restore their energy as well as be used as an invisible attack force against all Doujutsu users.

It fell in line with what both Sage Mode and Rinnegan were suppose to represent,  Asura, the son who inherited the Sage's body, and Indra, the son who inherited the Sage's eyes. Equal but opposite forces. If we allow Tenseigan, then it should fall into the category of a mixture of the two, which is what it is suppose to represent. Giving the Doujutsu a bit of both worlds, while not making it an outrageous copy/enhancement of either is the best way to go.

Normal animal based sage mode would get beat by canon tenseigan, its only the custom ones on SL that might stand up to it. 7 inner gates open could match it tho imo, 8 would surpass.

What exactly would you be 'sacrificing' with the altar scenario though? Remove your own eyeballs, it spits out someone elses pair for you to implant?

As for removing 360 vision, dunno of that cause its kinda the core function of the eye. Removing jyuken would completely shut down the BS 'jyuken element' I mentioned earlier however, so that would be nice. Lion fists would go away with it since its a jyuken off-shoot I think. What about vacuum palm and kaiten though?

I know, which is why I made the comparison. Tenseigan of course is too much as it is for either Rinnegan or Sage Mode users to handle by themselves without some serious co-op action.

Perhaps, i'm not so much against the ideas of HOW its obtained as long as the user follows the dumbed down abilities and limitations. Maybe the eyes themselves can be transformed via the chakra from the altar itself?

I say the only things the Tenseigan should have in common with the Byakugan is the seeing of chakra. I think gaining the ability to cut mountains, Sage benefits (nix the Natural Energy), Gudodama, and Deva Path skills is more than a fair enough trade off for 360 degree vision, Jyuuken, X-ray, telescopic vision and Kaiten. Much like how the normal Rinnegan does not have the abilities of the Sharingan, except the ability to see chakra, despite the fact the Sharingan is the evolutionary offshoot of the Rinnegan.

To avoid the an inevitable Tenseigan/Byakugan hax, I say much like the Mangekyo, the abilities are sanctioned by which eye the user has.

For example:

Right Eye- Chakra Mode (a.k.a Sage buffs)

Left Eye- Deva Path (Shinra Tensei and Bansho Tenin)

Both Eyes: Gudodama (Allowing the full destructive potential of the user on a Perfect Susanoo level)

I'd rather not devoid the Tenseigan user of ever using Byakugan again as it seems unfair that we allow a Rinnegan/Sharingan combo to work just fine. That way,  if one ever encounters them in a fight, they would either be a little less stronger than an actual Hyuuga Sage, or just a Byakugan user who simply has two abilities of the Rinnegan.

I don't think the Hyuga should have to give up 360 vision or Senjutsu usage just because they have the Tenseigan, Maybe they can't use it at the same time like I had said earlier, but I mean they could still do it

To give a Tenseigan user the ability to use Senjutsu greatly throws things off balance and they would have to give something up to offset the difference.

So what level will Tenseigan Chakra Mode be if we so implement it? I haven't seen the movie myself, so maybe I missed something, but as far as I know, Naruto is just as powerful as he was in the last chapter. With that being said, the wiki states that Tenseigan Chakra Mode is on par with Naruto's Sage enhanced Kurama Cloak, combined with that it gives the user attraction and repulsion abilities, strong enough to pull the moon itself, techniques that have celestial body destroying capabilities, and along with that Truth Seeking Balls as icing on the cake.

I'll be optimistic and say we can work with this.

If Tenseigan is allowed, then I say the user needs to have the Sage reset (and Byakugan of course), but completely relinquishes the Natural Energy aspect the Sages have, and we treat it as a power-up on par with it in terms of jutsu enhancement, speed, and durability. We treat the chakra costs of using Chakra Mode as one who is using Kanseitai Susanoo and give the Truth Seeking Balls the same level of destructive capabilities (except the ninjutsu negation of course). Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion though should just be as strong as your standard Planetary Rasengan and they have access to Shinra Tensei and Bansho Tenin.

As for obtaining it? I've got an idea, we make Hamura's Altar a claimed item much like Edo Tensei, Hiraishin, etc. The person who wants Tenseigan sacrifices  their Byakugan eyes to the Altar and it transforms into the Tenseigan, in return you get all the above cool abilities but sacrifice Jyuuken and 360 degree Kaleidoscope vision. This limits the amount of people who have it, while taking a bit of Sage Mode and Rinnegan without the the specific advantages of either, some semblance of canon material, and evens it out as a Hyuuga+Otsutsuki version of Senju+Uchiha we have going on here. At the same time it leaves some advantages a regular Byakugan player would have. Sound fair? (and of course no combing Tensei with any other Doujutsu)

Madara's head would turn to the direction of the noise, but due to the space between the two it would sound mumblings to him. A black ooze seeps from his red armor vambraces,  it's upper form taking a humanoid shape while the lower half remains connected to the plate, "Do you hear that off in the distance?" Ponders the eerie figure as it stretches it's body further towards the sound

"I sense a man and...something else?"

Through the use of his superb sensory abilities, the Uchiha had no problem detecting the fellow and his companion, though he was caught off guard by the different species in which he detected. Zetsu would completely detach himself from Madara, knowing exactly what he want for him to do, run reconnaissance. Seeping from him and onto the tree, the artificial human makes his way underground, quickly making his way to the two travelers.

Rising from the ground, ten feet away from Daizaemon and Kyojin, Zetsu once again takes a humanoid shape, looking directly at the two with his yellow eyes, completely void of sclerae or pupils. No other features would be on the black mass until suddenly it forms a mouth, revealing a row a jagged teeth in a massive grin.

"Can I help you?"

Would traverse the Dense Forest accompanied by no one but Zetsu who remains within the confines of his armor. Scanning the area, he would perch himself atop one of the branches of the many trees, waiting for his opponent to show himself. His hair would stand on end as his body is rushed with adrenaline, anxiously anticipating his next fix, the thrill of battle.

Discussions / Re: Ban Techniques?
« on: January 22, 2015, 12:20:21 AM »
One jutsu I hate with a searing passion that should be banned because of it's sheer stupidity, is Kawarimi no Jutsu. I find that anybody using this jutsu thinks of it as some sort of Hiraishin. Sense its not, its simply high speed movement like Shunshin, but with the completely asinine point of running BACK to only put a log or what have you in your place. Whats even worse is that the jutsu is described as, "....users replace their own body with some other object, generally with a block of wood, the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful." Really? So you just happen to have the speed to move faster than light, or fast enough to leave an afterimage, only to run back with an object from hammerspace for a ,"Ha ha, I fooled you!"??

Granted I could forgive almost all of this, if it weren't for the fact its a general ninjutsu. No genjutsu, no henge to make it look like you; you just do it...

I have never had anyone use that against me in a fight. Nonetheless I would void it cause of the sheer speed on would have to have to do that.

Unless it was prepped beforehand, like it most likely is in the canon series.

But that begs the question, even if it prepared, where are you getting it from? Space-Time? That could work, but cries out abuse. High speed movement? If your moving that fast that your opponent can't see you move out of the way the moment an attack technically "hits" you (I assume the user moves fast enough before the total energy of the attack transfers to you, which is speed the likes The Flash will applaud you for.) summon a log from some scroll, and place it back before they are the wiser, you are already at god-like levels compared to that ninja.

Mad because I should be dead by your Rasen-Shuriken? Its all good bro, I substituted the moment it hit, to give you the optical illusion of me being it, without me actually being hit. Its all science you wouldn't understand.
