Hunter's Guild / Hero's Guild: Thief Trouble
« on: December 12, 2015, 08:26:07 PM »
The young Nara would casually walk through Carne Village, his destination an antique shop. During his travel however, the raven haired man decided to check on his arrow supplies, making sure they were all good. So far his quiver held a total of 15 plain steel arrows. Looking towards his bow, he checked the string to make sure it was wound just right. He gave the string a few test tugs, remarking how much strength was needed for a quick draw and how fast he'd be able to do such a thing if he was notching arrows, even making the motion for such a task. 'That'll have to do for now.' He mentally mused to himself as he spotted the antique shop in the distance. He slung the bow around himself, to join with his quiver, and made sure it didn't hamper any of his movements as he covered the distance between him and the shop in another minute. Opening the door, he heard the small ring that brought his entrance to the old man's attention. His crimson hues rapidly surveyed the entirety of the shop, his pupils dancing from side to side, up and down, before landing on the only occupant, the aged owner standing behind the country. Surely the aged man would be relieved to see someone in the guild's attire walking through his shop, something that could only mean he would be receiving the help he had requested for. "Hello sir, I apologize for my lateness. My name is Jay Nara, and I'm here to help you with your thief problem you stated in your request." Jay walked up to the counter and gave the elder a bow of respect and a disarming smile.

Jay's first instinct was to take a few steps back as his brother began taking his shorts off. He knew the pros of having one's limbs unrestricted by clothes, a good reason why he wasn't wearing much himself. "Alright, as you know, this is Taijutsu only. Meaning, no chakra, no weapons and energy usage whatsoever. Just what you can do with your hands and feet." He smiled as he formed the Ram sign and released a pulse of chakra to acticate the seals on their stomachs. Both of them would feel as if the air had been forcibly pulled from their lungs and morphine had been shot into their bloodstream. Although this would be a temporary effect, it would last at least 4 minutes, their timers already ticking on. The Nara staggered as he held his head, shaking it tightly. He hadn't had the chance to test drive the seal, but it was functioning as it intended. 'Well, that hurt. I just thought of something awesome though...' "Ready?" Jay spoke sharply as he stomped on the floor, causing the room to quake just a tad, despite his Ant Seal being out of commission as well as all other seals on the both of them.

Jay smiled softly and gave the woman a slight bow. "Thank you ma'am." He told her as he proceeded to walk out of the building, nodding at the other man on his way out.

Jay watched his brother walk into the large room and remove his modified sweater. He too was excited about the fight that would be sure to commence. A grin formed on his face as he opened his arms, his muscles bulging just slightly. "Brother, how great it is to see you. Yes, I am ready, sadly you aren't." From one of the many seals decorating his right hand, a piece of paper would appear in a cloudless poof. The paper would show the same design that was on the Nara's abs, both inactive at the moment. He would show his brother, extending it towards him as he closed the remaining distance between them. "Transfer this seal to your stomach, but be careful not to activate it yet." The seal was special as it prevented the mixture of physical and spiritual energies, thus making something as simple as using chakra to stick to things, the hardest thing ever. Usually a seal like this would be dangerous to put on oneself, fortunately, Jay designed a timer into the sealing formula, giving them two hours max.

Jay paid little mind to the state of his dress, always wearing a pair of ashen karate style pants with a crimson belt around his waist. That would be the only thing as among his various tattoos/seals, there would be a new player, one that was more along the lines of being temporary. A thin circle could be seen along the contours of his abs. This wouldn't be the only thing to make up the design of the seal as the number 2 was printed inside the circle. At the moment, the man would make his way to the middle of the large room, each wall being around 20 meters wide, with the ceiling being 15 meters above them. He watched the only door in the room, awaiting his brother to make his emtrance, he would have to put the seal on him as well. The lights above them would keep the entire room lit.

Changing the color cause previous colors were hard to read.

The man nodded in appreciation to the woman, looking to where she had gestured moments ago. When he spied upon the mission board over yonder, he smacked himself on his forehead. "I'm so dumb. He muttered to himself as he walked over. He looked up and down the various opportunities. They seemed like easy missions for beginners. He shrugged this seemed like the perfect way to start his career as a hunter. He zeroed in on the thief mission and removed the flyer(?) for it and took it to the receptionist. "I would love to register for the thief mission. How soon can I get that ball rolling?"

Jay walked into the Headquarters, looking towards the restaurant area in concealed envy. He was sporting the ordinary Guild Armor, with his bow and arrows, wrapped around his frame, from his left shoulder to his right hip. Being the way he was, he knew he didn't have enough scratch to get himself a good meal. He made a brisk escape towards the business section, giving the receptionist a slight wave. "Hello miss, I'm Jay Nara. I just put my registration in and was looking for a mission to go on." His crimson eyes looked at the woman, taking note of her professional appearance.

I'm not gonna lie, even after nearly two years on this site, I still consider myself a super max noob when it comes to interacting with others. Before SL I was a fanfiction author for Naruto, I say before because SL is a bit addicting. I see lots of people with awesome abilities and sure, as a human, I want some of that, but as a writer I look at things the logical way and know that some things just aren't possible to get. So in order to get certain abilities, and not have people attacking your credibility or authenticity, time should be spent. Whether it's through actual RP or spamming them hotkeys, a certain amount of time should be spent.

In my case, I'm going at it in both ways, using the fact that I didn't dive straight into the Shinobi Realm when I first made the account and focused on personal training. Time spent unhindered by the world has given me a lot of free time. While others were out there constantly fighting and doing missions and whatnot, Jay was training, knowing that the world of SL was a dangerous place.

I'm a bit of a loner and thus, RP is hard for me, but I'm getting better, depending on who I'm RPing with I guess. The Resets =/= Rp thing annoys me as well, to an extent. But when you consider the age of the character, then it becomes a gray area.

Obviously mad respect goes to those that have spent a really long time on this site and developed their characters without resorting to a reset, And those that maxed out their resets.

I abide by this Student-Teacher Rule. I'll choose wisely.

553
Afterall, our favor is much like our experience while dead. People would stay on to protect that.

554
There could also be a PvP feature to take favor from others and a favor bank to store favor even after you get a new oro kill.

555
I just wanted to know your thoughts on the matter. In an attempt to make death, less boring and to keep players on longer after they die.
