when will I be able to store gems in my dwelling? it says that I can put a max of 100 but it wont let me deposit any into it

if you have read carefully, it speaks of a global limit.

you can't deposit the global maximum amount there either.

one type of dwelling will be able to store gems, but this will come later on.
