Bijuu Arena / Official Challenge: Gedo Mazo
« on: November 02, 2016, 06:04:38 PM »
As per this post:
http://forum.shinobilegends.com/index.php/topic,9114.msg232575.html#new

Kayenta has relinquished her claim over the Mazo to the council, as such, I'm gonna go ahead and put my name into hat labeled "First Come, First Serve".

An Rp event fighting the Mazo is suitable, or a champion named by the council, either way I'll patiently wait for you to decide how I will be obtaining the Juubi Husk. Cheers loves~

(First person I trigger with that ^ PM me, or post below, you've won a prize)

"Complete Annihilation" (5 turn regeneration period & forced immobilization)
Complete obliteration a.k.a dust release, burnt to ashes, ripped/blown apart, etc.

That is what is keeping people from doing it.

Only 1 ET zombie can be summoned per Jinchūriki challenge.

And that.

Pretty much solves your issues :) 5 rounds in any fight is a looooong time, also there are like 3 or 4 users of Edo.

Is stripping dart and keeping Rusaku in the running an option? I really enjoy making those threads.

Half joking. .-. #2

It's a well known fact that Rusaku and I are friends (Or the same person depending on where you are standing xD) and even saying this I am so very confused as to why this topic was made and talked about at all if everyone is too afraid of the word punishment to even begin dealing with it's possibility.

Of course I don't want to see my friend punished but this whole thing is becoming a huge waste of time. Imagine the Salem witch hunts done exclusively by Ghandi. That image while hilarious is what I'm seeing here and to keep you all from going insane, make a god damned decision already and let these people rest. If you aren't going to punish anyone, lock it now, otherwise quit the pussyfooting and bring down the hammer.

Let me help you out.

LOCK THREAD

Cause I know you all ;P

I wasn't going to chime in until after we decided he wasn't going to be stripped (call me old fashion), but I spoke with Dart and Zera while they were on, and while my initial thoughts after hearing the two were probably the same person was blind rage, I then thought back on the conversations and really they seemed like different people. Dart didn't seem like the greedy type when I spoke to him about the Sanbi, it wasn't about coveting these beasts, it was for the advancement and generation of RP for his character.

Of course a blanket "It could have been him lying stoopid~"

Well duh, but I figured if I came about defending his position, the new light some members may see him under will not be of a liar. Do what you will with this information :D

Ps. I bet some of you are real conflicted now, "Man, is he actually an ass, or his he just passionate about a few things." ;D

15 weeks? >> Nah, I'm good. You guys without beasts have fun with that. To make someone have to fight for a beast, then take 15 weeks to master it while likely dealing with challenges is idiotic. This whole thing exemplifies why those without beasts should not have reign over those who do.

You are just asking for people to stall fights for ages until they master tails. 2 weeks per tail with RP as a way to speed up maybe a tails worth of progress was fine. >> Ya'll just keep making it easier to disregard the council of non-hosts, cheers~!

Well there is a reason that hosts are not allowed to be on the biju Council, and I think your way of putting it pretty much exemplifies that, especially when a Council member disagreed wtih the timeframe for almost the same reason. Not to mention the rules are not made up excluesively by the biju council; the Community votes on the rules, all the Council does is enforce them at this current point in time, so the Council itself as a structure hardly has squat on whether this passes or not.

Hard to warm up to, sure, but I sorta agree. The new way of mastering a beast ain't bad and is more fair but if we get our choice preference.... Then I would go with this style of mastery.

Hitler-chan seemed adamantly against the new mastery system period, but you seem at least a little warm to it.

An IC system for mastering beasts would require hosts to RP and either take pictures or some other documentation to proveve that they did their RP. I'm not totally against that, but who is going to be checking behind these hosts? The Biju Council?

Two weeks per tails is an absolute joke. If only cause nobody should master the Ichibi in two weeks.

I agree that 2 weeks a tail is not the best way of going about it for the lower number tails, but as I said earlier, 15 weeks (that's nearly 4 months) is overkilling this; we already know at this stage of making the mastery rules that people are going to try to drag out biju matches, even Bocchiere as a force spirit would be scoffing at trying to psuh for something with a "please try to go around me" written all under it. Unless there is to be a penalty for obvious doing of this (and who makes the call on whether its obvious or not? The Biju Council? The judge for the match?) it's pointless making a rule that is begging to be loopholed.

I still propose to tuning it down to 2 weeks per stage. That's what, 10 weeks if I got my math right? Or maybe we need to rethink mastery altogether, because if short time constraints are seen as giveaways on power and RP verifications are unwanton bureacracy, then mastery should lean in the direction that encourages the most RP usage of the tailed beast, especially since IC hunts are still both WIP and potentially not even going to become a thing again.

Here is some food for thought. Mastering a tailed beast requires using its power, but not just using its power; training with that power in a setting that is appropiate for the power being trained. Each tailed beast perhaps can have a breakdown on what it takes to master the skills that each has (thus, the fewer canon perks, the easier to master).

For example, let's take say the 1-tails vs the 2-tails:

1-tails: tailed beast chakra, sand manipulation through magnet release, fuinjutsu, nightmare generation (not sure if anyone has actually tried to manipulate the 1-tails nightmare thing but I"m putting it on here in an attempt at completeness), and tailed beast transformations.

2-tails: tailed beast chakra, fire manipulation, and tailed beast transformations. And I think that is it.

It should be easier to master the 2-tails than the 1-tails then, by the logic of an abilities based system.

9-tails: tailed beast chakra, negative emotion sensing, rapid healing, and tailed beast transformations. Since the 9-tails chakra can't be split into Yin and Yang in SL, then I don't really count the enhanced mokuton growing property.

Would the 9-tails thus be easier to master than the 1-tails even though in the series the complete opposite seems to be the case? Well, the 9-tails' history is primarily what made it difficult to master, because who doesn't hate a master like Madara Uchiha? Gaara never utilized the sealing part of the 1-tails power, so arguably it could be said that he never mastered the beast; then again, that power probably was not added in until after Gaara lost the beast.

Anyways, the main trouble in mastering the 9-tails is that it has a significantly higher chakra capacity than the 1-tails, as demonstrated when its tailed beast ball visibly changed the trajectory of several other tailed beast balls. That takes more time to master than the 1-tails tailed beast chakra, by this system, but how much longer overall I admit is still a TBD kind of thing.

Eating some of my own food then,, what if rather than making a mastery system that blankets over all of the beasts, that we take the time to make a custom mastery for each and every single tailed beast? Would that not make tiering and such reasonable between the beasts?

I hate to admit it (I really do, nothing personal, just a combative soul) but I agree with a lot of what he suggested here. Mind you, the beast I own is already mastered so there is nothing for me to gain out of this >> I just hate the idea of people having to spend months mastering the 'lower' level beasts. The high level beasts are more sought after 'generally' and will be fought for more by higher level targets, where as the lower numbers more attainable. Trying real hard not to sound like an ass (for once), but if you look at the history of the Bijuu battles it's sorta shows. Even with me, started with the three tails and moved on up to the eight after several years.

Should seriously consider some of the stuff Eric suggested regarding custom requirements for each beast. Easy to document and verify (if needed) and should satiate all of the people who adamantly believe power should be incredibly hard to obtain. (Just can't help it >>)

Pending a good explanation. I think said fighters should be stripped/ dq'd. If you were dishonest in getting the biju, you can't be trusted to keep it and follow other rules in my opinion. But it's not up to me.

But as Camel says, we should wait for an explanation. No need to start a witch hunt just yet.

Is basically foaming at the mouth.

Rules/Foundation / Re: In-Character Hunt Omission Permanent? [discussion]

And going off of what Yujo said, barriers aren't the only things that make the IC hunts something of a challenge, though I agree with what he said fully. Huh, funny how that keeps happening lately.

Regardless, it is also the people of the village itself. I'm going to use myself as an example, let's say that I'm the host of the Six Tails again, and someone comes searching for me while I'm in Uzushio. Even taking away what barriers we do have, he gets inside, finds me, and what? Asks me to step outside with him? Away from everyone? While he is at it, might as hell to just ask me to hang myself for him, too >>

Nah, if someone actually did all that, I would want to step outside and have a fight.

BUT, for the sake of the example, let's say I say no. And he attacks, or hell, let's just say he attacks me right off the bat. Well, of course I am going to defend myself and demolish this fool to the best of my abilities... But I'm sure that none of my children would want to stand off to the side while I fight some dude through the streets of Uzushiogakure... Well, maybe Rikudo, but that is besides the point.  So with my children alone, this dude is fighting me and no less than four other people. Then Keito is gonna get in on it because we go waaayyy back, plus he's the Kage, and he isn't gonna want people thinking Uzushio is full of pushovers. So this man comes down with his pimp hand ready, adding to the total count.

And then Yujo comes along cause me and his pops go way back, too. And he just looks at the man and turns him to ice, cause that's his thing. And then Rikudo notices the slaughter-fest going on and decides that he wants to get in on it for some good ol' fashioned family bonding.

And even after all that, the old lady that Athos helped that one time down the street decides to grasp her ladle in her hand, wielding the lid for a pot as a shield, before charging into battle. And that show of heroism causes all the people of Uzushio to bear arms and to attack this person.

And I haven't even mentioned the NPC guards, ANBU, Death Knights, Manji ANBU...

Do you see what I'm getting at? I would love the idea of IC hunts and putting some rules down, but that begs the question, to what levels can we place rules on this before it is just scripted and stopping people from doing their casual RPs in their villages or whatever? o.o

This actually made me laugh aloud. Good on ya.

I think if people just quit jumping on the void wagon as soon as their silly barriers and village's 'natural' defenses fall, we'd be goochie. Aside from just getting rid of their silly barriers. >> I am soooo okay with Anti-space time barriers compared to the Anti-Villain no jutsu barriers people put around their villages and just further their descent into obscurity and RP stagnation. Know why a good hero needs to have good villains? Because without the villain, what point is there to ever strive for greatness?

To put it into perspective, the OP village barriers are the super-automated chairs from WALL-E >> They've allowed you all to become fat. SEE I TOLD YOU I'D GET VULGAR!

If an IC hunt is ever going to be successful, people need to recognize two things about 'their villages'.

ONE: Just because you frequent the village board you like, more than others, doesn't give you any sort of jurisdiction as to what RP can and cannot be done within it's bounds. If you don't yet get what I am alluding to, you don't have the right to void RP because it doesn't suit your mood. It's the worst shit ever.

TWO: This isn't Naruto Sim simulator 2016, bad people exist in every context, stifling them removes the possibility for greatness, you can't just get pissy about someone wreaking 'your' village. Speaking from experience, without major villains playing roles in my time during SL, I would not have climbed as hard as I did to become what I am today, and while some of you dislike who I am, it'd be hard to refute my accomplishments.

TL;DR: This next generation of Rp'ers, if there is going to be one at all, will all be choji. >>

I might get a bit vulgar, viewer discretion advised.

YOU MOTHER...kidding.

I am quite passionate about this topic, I personally would love to see people quit hiding behind their OP village barriers. Some of these things are absolutely ridiculous, then when you find out a counter or a way around it and argue, they void you outright. If IC hunts are to be a thing, then the villages housing the beasts must make it POSSIBLE for potential hunters to follow through. I'm not asking for a cake walk...but..

"A seal used in conjunction with the Mondai no Konran and overlapping this defense is one of the prides of the hidden cloud village. Utilizing the constantly increased ionized air constantly over the village, this seal allows natural lightning to rain down on anything and anybody within the range of the barrier seal. Able to call down near limitless lightning strikes, such a dangerous and powerful seal can only be used by the Raikage's. Enemies are targeted and identified through use of the Mondai no Konran it's connected to."

"A massive dome shaped seal placed around a certain area. This particular seal is placed around the entire village of Kumo and encompasses everything within. It begins at the center of the village and stretches out three quarters of a mile from the outside of the village in a perfect circle going beneath the ground and into the sky as well. The purpose of the jutsu is it marks everything and everybody within it’s boundaries and anything coming into contact with reducing the effectiveness of their chakra based abilities. It produces a toll of multiplying chakra drain of techniques three times while decreasing effectiveness of chakra based abilities by half. This also includes chakra based attacks made from outside the range of the barrier coming into contact with said barrier seal. This defense is a permanent seal on the land area itself and is only subject to collapse should the Raikage will it. This also serves to further train Kumo shinobi. With such a constant draw on their chakra levels for a prolonged period of time when not under the effects of the barrier they are endowed with unnaturally high chakra levels when compared to other nations."

"A barrier empowered by a crystal located within the depths of the Hokage Residence, its circumference encircles the village's walls, two-meters away from them. The barrier works in two ways.First it has a "passive" effect which is active at all times and absorbs any attack that uses chakra and makes contact with it from the outside.Second it has an "active" effect which absorbs all the ninjutsu attacks from inside, but it may only be activated by someone possessing the Preta Path and who knows of the technique-specific hand seal."

I actually tried to find stuff for Kiri, but they void bijuu anyway, so I don't even know how this would work anyway. >> For fairness I even looked at Uzu, and we don't even have a space-time barrier.

Unless a jinck makes an appearance outside of his villages barriers, then sure, but they won't EVER do that unless forced.
