Title: -Specialty- Puppet Control Jutsu
Post by: SakuraGR on January 30, 2007, 10:12:23 PM
Heya guys and girls,

We spent some time to think of a new specialty to add to the game. If you like it by any chance, we can think of more. That one was the easiest since most techniques exist in the series.

Lvl 1 : Kugutsu no jutsu (Pupper technique, replaces user with a puppet)  -> Boosts Defense +25% for 3-5 rounds
Lvl 2 : Karasu (moves Karasu, or Crow) -> Does 50-70 damage per round, 3 rounds
Lvl 5 : Kuroari (moves Kuroari, or Black ant) -> Imprisons enemy, making them unable to attack, 5 rounds
Lvl 9 : Kurohigi Kiki Ippatsu (Black Secret Technique Machine One Shot) -> Single attack, 250-300HP damage
Lvl 13 : Hitokugutsu (Person Puppets) -> Summons human puppets, boosts attack and defense +100% for 5 rounds
Lvl 15 : Shiro Higi: Jikki Chikamatsu no Shu (White Secret Technique: Ten Puppet Collection of Chikamatsu) -> Attacks 10 times per round, 5-10 damage each time, 5 rounds
Lvl 18 : Aka Higi: Hyakki no Soen (Red Secret Technique: Performance of a Hundred Puppets) -> Attacks 10 times per round, 40-50 damage each time, 3 rounds

Sounds nice? If they 'sound' ok, we could think of other specialty ladders as well (eg Kage or shadow skills, Body transformation skills etc)

every thing except lvl 2 sounds goo. I think level 2 attack has too much damage

Dokugiri does 80-90 damage for 5 rounds in lvl 2....I find it kinda offensive too, but wouldn't it be more balanced this way?

Then again, you are right, Dokugiri is the only offensive technique Medical Jutsu has!

The damage done my a skill isn't calculated the way you think it does. Kyuubi no Gyururu's Dokugiri can only be used as a bug spray. While Suzumiya Haruhi's can kill a cow.

She means the higher your DK the more damage given by most if not all jutsu.

About the Puppets i dunno i mean wont you have to find Puppets or something to even use a Puppet Specialty.

We had this one here...

Puppets will be companions, the Jutsus follow with them.

=)

you will have to buy a puppet (just guessing)  :P

That's exactly what we though. No need to buy/summon/whatever puppets. Since you are a puppeteer, you are supposed to use puppets as jutsu's. No need to make this complicated!  ;)

We aren't sure how jutsu's are programmed/affected...if we knew, we'd think of it more thoroughly...for now we can only guess!

They would actually have to be companions. Kankuro can't just magically summon his puppet that he uses in battle using a jutsu, he actually has to carry the puppet upon his back and then perform jutsus along with the puppet, not using the puppet as a jutsu. So the puppets would have to be an item or a mount, something you have to carry around...

p.s Why do you keep saying "we", as if you are on some kind of team? o.O

puppets are a mix. no real jutsu (saw Kankuro who was helpless without his puppets?) but no real living companion.

Puppets actually seem more like a mount to me.......

Unlike mounts, you do not need to make a contract, you do not need to summon them, and you need to control them by using your chakra in order to make them attack.

Actually Kankuro does magically summon his puppets after...well, after some time. So do all of the high rank puppeteers.

As I said, there is no need to make this too complicated. Just another jutsu choice like the rest is enough. Why make Neji's life hard and have him program them as secondary mount, item, companion or whatever else? And our lives hard by trying to find them, buy them, whatever, when all the rest of the techniques are so simple?

We = Me and my sister. :P

I know, that could be adjusted, it gets stronger as players get stronger anyway.

When I was Chuunin for example, Dokugiri did only 15-20 damage. Now that I'm a Kage it does over 100 per round. But some other skills seem to be the same.

I don't know how Neji programs each skill, sorry.

 it gets stronger???
never knew that XD
btw...when i was chuunin it (dokugiri) did 30 damage (15 damage x2 hits)  :D
i think lvl 15 jutsu should increace...lvl 2 jutsu decreace a bit...
then i like it!

my dokugiri does almost 700 damage per round

would we also be able to purchase parts/weapons for our puppets if we were wanting to customize them?

First of all, risku that is amazing if your dokugiri hits for that much, and a puppet jutsu is such a great idea.It would be intresting to customize your puppets attacks, and use them in the game.It probably is alot of work for neji im guessing though, but still a great idea. But why not just make it like regular jutsu's without all that inhancements.I dont know just throwing ideas out there.

You won't be able to customize puppets for the same reason we can't get signature justus.

Why do you want more jutsu? :?: There's already like more than 10 ( i think)  ;) If you want more jutsu and Neji and the others keep making them, they'll never be able to make NEW things that everyone wants. Like Kekkai Genkai, more missions, those kinda things. Not to insult you or anything, but i think that we have enough jutsu types for now... the new specialty system just came out a few months ago  :)

One step at a time:

where do you get the puppets from?

no hope of buying them just like the mounts?
maybe in a new shop, wich might be in hoshi (just an idea, if you want to make it only for high-ranks), or in wind country (the puppets' country).

I have also plans, but I won't spoil the fun.

The puppet idea is interesting, but i have a question, if someone happens to get a puppet, what will happen to that persons mount? Would you still be able to use it? o.o

you probably keep your mount. especially since the'r egonna be REALLY weaker in the new system, from what i heard *points to neji*

but you never know...

postpone that idea.

*after* the mount change we can talk again.
