Rules/Foundation / up to date info
« on: November 02, 2016, 06:22:34 AM »
Is it possible for the forum here to be kept up to date on who are the current hosts? Like in that thread that says...SL Official Bijū Guidelines/Rules and Current In-game Jinchūrikihttp://forum.shinobilegends.com/index.php/topic,8016.0.html

while keeping the wikia up to date as well? People still think I am handling the Gedo Mazo...and referencing the wikia as their go to place.

http://narutoprofile.wikia.com/wiki/Tailed_Beasts

I decided not to run the rp cause of the disbelief i couldn't possibly manage to handle more than one rp partner at a time and keep it from being a huge cluster...and said that the council was responsible, that maybe Eric could do it.

I will go ahead and add the Gedo Mazo to the bijuu list...here on the forum...and list it as council owned. but do not forget as these things get taken up the edits need to be up to date. I am not bijuu council nor am I forum staff. so others need to pick up this slack or put me back on the payroll.
just let me know and i will act accordingly.

Village Square / Rinnegan, Sharingan, Hiraishin
« on: October 06, 2016, 02:42:28 AM »
SO I read one of the fights, at least the concluding post. this will have no baring on the fight at all. I just want to gain some knowledge.

Quote
Unfortunately for Teostra, the chains wouldn't break. In fact the moment he touched the chains he would be immobilized to an extent and in a great deal of pain, as the chains Ray used were the demonic statue chains. Since the chains themselves are capable of ensnaring the tailed beasts with little effort. The only way out of the chains would be through an outside force though the Ray wouldn't let him try anything funny.

Seeing as the chains had snagged Teo into place, Ray was able to see his location thanks to the Rinnegan's ability to see chakra. From here Ray would muster up nearly 60% of his overall chakra to send Teo into his own kamui dimension via Flying Thunder God. Since Teo is in constant contact with Ray's chakra when touching the chains, the FTG tech would allow Ray to instantaneously send someone or something to a marker at the cost of a severe amount of chakra. The marker Teo would be sent to, would be the marker Ray had placed in his kamui dimension meaning Teo had no way of escape and would be trapped in an abyss.

SInce Ray used up 60% of his overall chakra, He would have a hard time even breathing as he would fall backwards atop his Rex's head and breathed heavy like trying to remain conscious. Of course should Teo somehow escape then Ray would have never of lost the 60% chakra and wouldn't be tuckered out though the likelihood of that was low.

Hiraishin

And sorry Ray and Teostra...not trying to pick on anyone. I just have a question.
a few...

I think this move is not legit. why? Well maybe I just don't know how stuff works.

1] The rinnegan is active...the detection of Teo's chakra, the demonic statue chains
2] Rinnegan can't open Kamui pockets...and one is not activated?
3] Hiraishin cannot transport people across dimensions, only through the current one they are upon.

ok everyone, please point out why my assumptions here are wrong? I need some education.

Spam / A Little TMI, but what the heck, right?
« on: October 04, 2016, 12:45:22 AM »
SO it's just easier on me to have this conversation once. my appologies to the uninterested. :P

Whenever it was last week that I was put into the hospital [Thursday night]...and they ran all those tests[Cat Scan, MRI, thyroid panel, Blood sugar, EKG, chest x-ray, blood pressure, other blood work, cholesterol, stroke enzymes, iron levels]...and found absolutely nothing wrong with me...

They set me up with a follow up exam from a doctor. And I went there today and she tells me I have a B12 deficiency but my iron levels are fine. That blood test from the ER takes a good two days for results to be obtained and I was discharged from the hospital before they came in. She gave me a B12 shot...and ordered blood work in 4 weeks. And I will proceed from there. Pill supplements are ill advised IF this is a genetic inability to absorb B12 through the stomach, which given the history of my mother could well be the case. Due to the lack of low iron, this is also indicated and not indicative of a poor diet.

So...it seems this may be responsible for a number of issues that I have been experiencing:

Nerve problems like numbness or tingling, muscle weakness, and problems walking
Vision loss
Mental problems like depression, memory loss, or behavioral changes

I am told that for most people, treatment resolves the problem. But any nerve damage that happened due to the deficiency could be permanent.

What can cause this?

Atrophic gastritis, in which your stomach lining has thinned
Pernicious anemia, which makes it hard for your body to absorb vitamin B12
Surgery that removed part of your stomach or small intestine, including weight loss surgery
Conditions affecting the small intestine, such as Crohn's disease, celiac disease, bacterial growth, or a parasite
Heavy drinking
Immune system disorders, such as Graves' disease or lupus
Long-term use of acid-reducing drugs. Stomach acids help break down animal proteins that have vitamin B12.
You can also get vitamin B12 deficiency if you're a vegan (meaning you don't eat any animal products, including meat, milk, cheese, and eggs) or a vegetarian who doesn't eat enough eggs or dairy products to meet your vitamin B12 needs.

Well she did mention pernicious anemia, which is the inability to absorb B12. The symptoms of that are:

weakness [yes]
headaches [yes]
chest pain [no]
weight loss [yes] 50 pounds in 3 months.
an unsteady gait [yes]
spasticity, which is stiffness and tightness in the muscles [yes]
peripheral neuropathy, which is numbness in the arms and legs [yes]
progressive lesions of the spinal cord [no]
memory loss [yes]

So after several years of being told nothing is wrong with me and I am just fine, but continued to feel like shit all the time...it is kind of a relief to have a lead for once.

Hopefully, as this is treatable, this will be what the issue is and I will finally get some relief.

So yeah, I am excited.

Rules/Foundation / OFFICIAL RULES MUST BE THE SAME ON THE FORUM AND WIKIA
« on: September 24, 2016, 02:44:16 AM »
http://narutoprofile.wikia.com/wiki/Tailed_Beasts

Link to the narutoprofile wikia page on the beasts. Scroll down to Rules and Guidelines for an updated version of the rules.

*I would have just copied and pasted the text, but my desktop refuses to highlight the text, hence why I did it this way*

It is unacceptable for the profiles page to have rules that contain anything not voted on here and adopted into the rule set. Anything that is listed upon the profiles page needs to be set up here with a proper rule discussion thread and then voted upon before it becomes an official rule.

Council / Future Council Structure [Discussion]
« on: September 21, 2016, 03:16:00 AM »
So as per Trev's suggestion, here is a thread to discuss offical judges.

And as per Ace's suggestion, I think having it associated with the council would be a cool thing to do.

this would give a bit of official status to the group of judges, a bit of a stamp of approval, if you will, that these judges will judge a match based on the rules defined in the bijuu section and those of standard rp practice. that these are a collection of people knowledgeable about Naruto and RP battle. But also, if they were made a minor part of the council, a sub section...what was the word Ace used...a lower chamber with a defined set of responsibilities...then there would be a set standard of duties and competence that is expected. to unify the judging of matches for everyone.

So...does this seem like something people would support? Perhaps if so, people could post a volunteer post with qualifications...brag yourself up some. as well as nominating people who we think would make good official judges for matches.

It hasn't even been 10 minutes since I said good bye to Bocchiere after his perma band and already people are making their claims...

here is mine.

I am holding the Gedo Mazo hostage and will not discuss it with anyone until at least October.

Why?

Because I need time to adjust and some respect for the man.

and that is all I have to say about that.

Rules/Foundation / MASTERY [Discussion]
« on: September 18, 2016, 02:53:41 AM »
Ok. the issue of how mastery was going to be handled was never finalized. Let's get some talk going on here and finish that part up, ok? I was asked today...is it a total of 3 or 15 weeks for mastery?

4] Mastering a Biju Clause
  • The beast must be completely mastered before the Jinchuriki can access Tailed Beast Mode.
  • The Bijuu Bomb can only be used while in Tailed Beast Mode.
  • The Bijuu’s passive ability can be accessed immediately upon being sealed with the beast, but the power will be weaker than someone who has mastered the beast. It takes time to master the passive abilities of a bijuu.
  • Number of tail manifestations before mastery is achieved--> under discussion.
  • Mastery will occur in five stages consisting of 3 weeks each, with a mid rage evolution stage to access partial transformations.
  • 25% - grants access to C ranked jutsu in the beast's passive ability. The host has access to the Initial Jinchūriki Form.
  • 50% - grants access to B ranked jutsu in the beast's passive ability. The host has access to the Version 1 Cloak.
  • Partial Transformation - Although no additional access to the beast's passive ability have been acquired, control over the transformative stages now includes the finesse to perform partial transformations.
  • 75% - grants access to A ranked jutsu in the beast's passive ability. The host has access to the Version 2 Cloak.
  • 100% - grants access to S ranked jutsu in the beast's passive ability. The host has access to Tailed Beast Mode.
  • Consequences of going over mastery--> In Discussion
I prefer that stages of abilities gained is how we handle it. Rather than to say so long per tail, because it really should not be easier to master Shukaku than Kurama. I feel the bijuu are all equally difficult to master.

Rules/Foundation / The Stripped Bijuu [vote]
« on: August 02, 2016, 01:50:45 AM »
Just to clarify, vote yes or no to the following amendments which will go into the stripping a host clause. If no, please state which section you disagree with and provide an alternative to that situation. If something is missing that you feel needs to be included, please start a new discussion/vote thread after stating here that you wish to add something. Link to the new thread if possible.

  • In the event that a host/summoner is stripped during a match, the beast goes to the current challenger.
  • In the event a host/summoner is stripped outside of a match, the beast goes to the first challenger on their challenge list.
  • In the event that a host/summoner is stripped, and no challenger exists, the bijuu council determines how to handle the reassignment of the beast in question.
  • The bijuu council can handle the reassigning of the bijuu in any manner they agree upon. Some ways they might to choose, for example, might be: Assigning to a new host they all agree upon, Asking for volunteers, Calling for a GM to host an RP for a wild bijuu hunt.
  • A GM rp led event must begin no later than 2 weeks after it is called for and be concluded within 2 months of its beginning.

Rules/Foundation / Stripping a Host Clause [vote/notification]
« on: August 02, 2016, 01:30:52 AM »
So this was voted in but for some reason doesn't seem to be in the rough draft of the rules. Does anybody know why cause I cannot remember? I know there were issues on agreeing as to what to do with the thing once it is stripped. So maybe that held it up. Or maybe I just missed it cause of w/e was going on?

anyway...here is a link [post #4] to the vote. you can see it was voted in with a majority of 11 for the rule.

And here are the rules, without the strike through sections=clauses not agreed upon. I will start a discussion for those sections so a vote can happen about them once we talk it to death.

Subject Matter: Stripping a Host Clause:

  • Breaking the activity clause constitutes stripping. You may participate again once your life permits the time commitment SL requires of their hosts. No ban is issued and when to try again is up to the participant.
  • Attempting to commit fraud by providing an alt as a judge to your own match results in a perma-ban from all things bijuu.
  • Breaking any of the other rules results in one warning to be issued by the council. A second violation of the same rule will result in stripping.
  • Hosts who are stripped will be on a 3 month cool down period in which they may not participate in bijuu matters, but can serve on the council. During this time it is hoped they will train and refine their RP/participation in order to become a host in the future. This cool down period does not apply to breaking the activity clause.
  • 14 days after stripping a new host must be chosen.
  • 7 days after host is chosen an RP to seal must be completed. OOC sealing must be completed within 2 days of being chosen. If the RP exceeds the 14 days, the host must default to OOC sealing and post his grace period dates immediately.
  • If no potential host is found, then the council may choose to host a lottery of applicants [meeting in a paid zone and using the random die generators], a tourney, or assign the SL GM staff to conduct a wild bijuu event. However, judging the tourney matches will default to judge rules. Council members may not serve as judges. Additionally, any SL GM staff who are trying to be hosts may not participate in aspects of a wild bijuu hunt. -->Tourney and Wild Bijuu hunts must be concluded in a timely fashion not to exceed 2 months.

So let me get to the point...

Can I add a section to the rules called Stripping a Host and put these rules in?

I am asking as a courtesy cause they were already voted in and feel they were left out by mistake. So unless anyone knows why...and in the event that people don't bother responding to this thread, I will add them in anyway cause of the prior vote...on August 8th.

Bijuu Arena / Sangaku no Hakaba for Bocchiere and no one else!!!!!
« on: July 19, 2016, 12:39:09 AM »

Bitter cold and utter darkness permeated the Mountains Graveyard. Large bones jutting up angrily from the ground, protesting the very life that had left them scattered in this pit at the ends of the earth, cast pitch black shadows upon the gray of the moonlit night. No stench of their demise remained, only these distorted bones, relics of life forms that no one living could dare imagine. Forms that were more horrific even than that of their own colossal reality. Those who had chanced upon this land swore they had found the resting place of dragons, and were laughed out of obscurity in the dives and gambling dens in which they made their boasts. Others claimed that they had found the resting place of a race of giants long since erased from the memories of mankind, only to have their very own notions fail at even producing rumors. Only a handful of others dared to let science dictate their postulates, claiming in ages long since past giant reptiles had once ruled the world.

Despite the dreams of the fanciful and scientific alike, all would agree that something inexplicably sinister filled that land. Even so, there were but meager rumors of haunts and curses that would chance to catch the ears of very select individuals. Time wore on and other wonders and marvels replaced the old and worn out tales. All that remained was a general sense of unease to cause travelers, locals who even knew of this rift zone in the mountains, to give it quite the wide berth rather than to tread within that graveyard. Between fool and sage some wisdom would blossom, so it seemed, for this day that malevolence was primed for flight.

Deep within a cavernous void space, they...it...the entity...made its abode. This abandoned lair, or more rightly termed oubliette, seethed with the oppressive weight of pent up passionate rage. Once the prized showpiece of megalomaniac ambition, one after the other, those ill conceived dreams had fallen by the wayside for one reason or another. Some had dreamed too small and were consumed by the very tool they wished to employ, others lost sight of their schemes to be duped and lured away into less ambitious, yet no less futile, endeavors. Time passed until they...it...the entity was all but forgotten.

Afterall, fermentation took just the right conditions to achieve the metamorphosis of rebirth...
