Thread just to say I'm leaving. Gonna be graduating college soon and it's time to get my life fully on track and deal with my various issues/future. SL has been a nice home to me and I never would have imagined the bonds or community I found here. This place has provided comfort for the past seven years, but it's time to go. So my council seat is open, and this is my heads up. Sorry for bailing early and not saying my goodbyes in a more personal space.

@Shadow
Love ya Ben, you got me into roleplaying on this site and our relationship has always been great. Gonna miss ya pops. Obviously your name goes first.

@Athos
I know we didn't end well, but I hold no grudges. Had a great time over the years, wish ya the best.

@ Genny
You'll always be my favorite little noob that turned into an active and wonderful roleplayer. Sorry for not doing the rp I promised

@Eric
I feel like we could have been closer, but I've always had fun in our fights and I looked forward to your lengthy forum post even if no one else did. Stay golden

@Warren
Been nice chatting you up these past few months and slingshotting ideas. You're really nice, wish we had more time.

@Keito
The best second in command anyone could ever ask for. All the success Oto had would be nothing without you. You're also the easiest person to talk to since ya don't take this game seriously.

@Rus
*ruffles hair*  you're one of the good ones and I'm glad I met you

@Tsuyo
You da man

@Yujo (If still around)
My favorite temperament to try and calm. Just as stubborn as me and just the way I like it

@Jay
Didn't get to really know you, bust you always were pleasant when we did talk. Keep up the good work homie

@Kamui
I never once had a problem with you, so you'll always be the perfect camel to me

@Shinro
Thanks for doing my avys, teaching me how to properly rp by example, and being a listening ear if I needed it.

@Kay (if ever back)
Thanks for being kind and pulling me out of fighting rp's every once in awhile.

@Dart
One of my favorite people on SL. Thanks for showing me not all Kiri people suck (I kid)

@Kage
Thanks for also helping me with my avy and for guiding me so many years ago that ya might not even remember!

@everyone/ the numerous people I've forgotten:
Thanks for making SL the place it is. I hope everyone find what they are looking for in life.

See ya guys, it's been fun. >>

Rules/Foundation / Tampering [Discussion]
« on: March 19, 2017, 04:08:18 AM »
Alright, so this thread was in demand awhile ago and there was some interest in seeing some rule passed. This thread is not a thread to bring up past accusations, affect any prior fight, etc. Just discuss a rule.

As of right now, based on what I've seen there are three options

1. Do nothing, it's not a big deal.

2. My proposal. Which would have those caught tampering in the future be stripped of their tailed beast (if they had one) and people involved be suspended from biju fights for 1-3 months. It's a little harsh, but fair imo. Only problem is it would be very difficult to enforce. As unless you have proof (messages) of tampering, you can't prove it. So would only work if one of the parties came forward and admitted to it.

3. I've also seen Athos propose to eliminate FFA and leave it strictly a 1 v 1 fight. Although I think I also saw him say maybe allow tag matches. I'm sure he can explain his solution when he sees this thread.

So yeah, turn it over to you guys. Comment if you think nothing should be done, comment or edit on the two proposed solutions, or propose your own. And don't forget to hit the subscribe button

Rules/Foundation / Housekeeping
« on: March 19, 2017, 04:00:00 AM »
Housekeeping

So all the dates for the voting passed, which means we have some new rules
1.Hosts are not allowed to have more than one beast sealed within them at a time

2. Players may retain passive abilities of beast they mastered

3. Previous mastery of a beast = reduced time for mastery, but not instant. This rule will have to be discussed in depth before applied. Shadow suggested cutting it in half.

4. It was only a discussion, but people seemingly agreed with it regarding the gifting of biju of the timer for not accepting challenges being reduced. So if people want this, it can be included.

5. You can't split biju chakra up

So yeah, 3-4 need to be hashed out. The rules need to be worded in a fancy way that doesn't allow loopholes. Finally they need to be updated on the wiki, and forum.

Council / Election Time!
« on: March 02, 2017, 05:15:25 AM »
Sorry for the delay everyone, things have been busy for me, but that's no excuse, better late than never though.

So I talked to Kamui, and he says he's staying put, that means with Kayenta, Shadow, and Ace leaving so we have three seats.

We also have four candidates listed below. (Votes for them will be periodically updated)
Athos: 5
Nekomaru: 7
Keito: 11
Tomi: 10

So yeah cast your votes. You can vote for three of the four candidates, or less should you wish. Also because I'm just randomly springing this thread up and people might want to get the word out, I'm extending the deadline for voting to the 15th, so two weeks. So vote away and if anyone has a problem with me taking control of this feel free to message me or open another thread to berate me, otherwise vote vote vote!

Rules/Foundation / Can you split biju chakra?
« on: February 24, 2017, 02:51:40 AM »
I don't think this will be used, but as players like chinote said, if it ain't on the books, people can do it. It used to be a rule you couldn't split the biju's chakra, but I don't see it anymore.

By splitting chakra I'm referring to two things specifically
Dividing it's yin and yang half like Minato did with Kurama

Or people giving away it's chakra like filler Sora, or the Gold and Silver Brothers.

Keeping it real simple, yes or no, yay or nay. This vote topic will formally stay open for 7 days, and will close  3/2/2017.

Yes: 4

No: 7

Council / Biju Issues
« on: February 13, 2017, 06:23:32 AM »
So, Idk if anyone else besides Kamui noticed. But in my fight with Athos (Kaze) he pretty much just claimed me dead, and locked the thread so I couldn't respond. Even though a mod is basically telling him he shouldn't do that. So yeah, he's claiming me dead, and locked the thread so I nor Keito could speak. So he's attempting to claim the win, the biju, and my IC life and the only outlet I have is this thread.

I just did what the judge allowed, as his ruling on the forum confused me, so I asked him for confirmation, cause I knew this would happen

http://s1076.photobucket.com/user/trevasseur/media/SLKeito_zps5ux4ajox.png.html?sort=3&o=0

Let me know if the link doesn't work. So instead of leaving the thread open and asking Keito for confirmation as he should have, he just decides to call me dead and lock the thread.

So basically I'm asking the council and everyone else to not acknowledge the fight as over. And Idk what to really do from here >>

Village Square / Biju rules?
« on: September 19, 2016, 07:00:26 PM »
So I'm not sure if this thread goes here, or the biju rules subsection, so sorry if it doesn't go here, a mod will move it if not.

Anyway, I have the Yonbi now and my grace has started. I was looking over the biju rules as I haven't really followed this new system too closely, was fighting Bocc more for fun than winning the Yonbi. But I noticed in the new rules it doesn't say Edo Tensei zombies can't seal a biju inside them.

Was this taken out of the previously rules? I know some edits were made, like how you can now enhance the biju as a summon which you couldn't before. Or was it an accident that was never discussed, or just not put in the wiki?

I personally think unbound Edo Tensei's should be able too, but I'm biased as summoning a biju sucks. I know the council has a lot on it's plate, but please answer me before my grace ends in 2 weeks!!!

Village Square / Let's make an SL religion
« on: August 20, 2015, 05:56:28 AM »
So I've been thinking about way to add depth to our little SL universe lately. Religion came to mind right away and has been for awhile. There seems to be lack of them around, and why do jashinist get all the fun?

This idea as been floating through my mind for awhile, so why not try to implement a patron god/goddess for Otogakure?

My thought was to either use directly or indirectly the shinto deity of Inari Okami. Perhaps not directly as to not offend anyone of the Shinto religion.

Backstory:
Inari Okami (or deity to be named) long ago dwelt within what is now the Land of Sound or rice patties. The enchantments placed upon the land come from this deity and is a reason for Otogakure's great agriculture (playing off Inari being a kami of rice). People of the Sound keep making offerings and the deity keeps giving Oto it's bountiful harvest.

Inari is also known to take the forms of several species. Most prominently is the fox, which I shall not be using. However, it can also form the snake and dragon. The snake being tied to Otogakure via the manga, and dragon via sl rp of Shinro. This would help explain Otogakure's fascination with these creatures and deem them "holy". Perhaps I could swap the fox with wolves, since SL rp has had many wolves in Otogakure.

Enhancements:
I wanted to have some sort of player benefit like Jashin gives to his followers. Of course I didn't want it to be too strong of a thing like Jashin gives, just something to make it interesting. Some legends of Inari offer tales of a whip that can burn crops. So I was thinking followers of the religion get a whip that can produce fire chakra or something. I was looking to add some other power up, but am stumped as to what.

So I posted this here to get feedback and ideas from others, so this could be made a thing that could be implemented in Otogakure and give some religious diversity to the land.

Apologies to anyone of the Shinto faith if they find this offensive or inaccurate in anyway, not my intent.

Bijuu Arena / Reibi
« on: August 21, 2014, 04:40:44 AM »
So yeah, I like to make sure I don't get put into the void, so I'm making this topic. I recently got the Reibi, and I'm gonna try to incorporate it into rp. However, many people hate filler "junk", so this is my attempt at trying to use it fairly. Feel free to retort or applaud anything written here, and spit back some ideas yourself.

So pretty much, I'm just going to be listing it's advantages, and you guys approve or refute, thanks.

Advantages to host:
Extra chakra to use (I'm thinking more than a Jiongu, but less than the Ichibi).
Use of Dark Chakra/Dark release as it's natural affinity (similar to Lava Release with Son Goku).
Enhances the Body Recreation Technique
Negative Emotion Sensing
Reibi transformation (Reibi is dwarfed compared to size of tailed beast, no psuedo beast ball or any gigantic attack, can regenerate though).

I'd even take challenges for it like a normal host if people wanted. Is this fair to use as a pseudo host, or is it better I not use it at all so we don't have a line between tailed beast and pseudo host
