Hi,
I am pondering about giving out the privilege (well, or benefit) to have accounts not expire.
It has happened in the past, and there are a few accounts that do not expire.
One more famous example is the "Baluski" account, though there are others who did a lot for the site and were granted that boon.
I'd say I put an option for donation points in, to buy that privilege.
One "downside" is that names would be locked "forever", as I won't manually delete those accounts.
One "upside" is for people who leave this site that their accounts would be there - with all houses etc. attached. Also people who live there can continue to live there.
Opinions are welcome

:)
I see some useful benefits for members- no objections.
Although names would be locked, first come first serve.
-
Sure. :P
-
I'm all for this
-
How big a sum were you thinking perhaps?
Needless to say I'm cool with this.
-
It would be nice to be able to lock my main names.
-
I have no objections.
Although I am curious on how much these benefits will cost.
-
I'm good for the lock-down. Account sellers are sure to love this too, if they're willing to make the investment of keeping any canon character names held-down for good.
-
Sounds good to have I am for it as I can 'keep' my forest ranks
I suggest it needs to be reasonable price in donation points, however, make sure it is something that isn't easily gotten.
-
Sounds like a positive improvement. All for this.
-
What would you think is a fair price? =)

I'd suggest a price around 2500 DP not outrageously expensive but not super cheap that anyone can get it. Though I'd like to hear what others think and suggest.
-
2000-2500 might not be so bad. Takes work, though not impossible after you get going from the hard early kills. Plus you can always donate too, get yourself up there to the sum and help the server while at it.
-
What about the people who base all their characters stuff on rp and run on like an Academy student? It'd be pretty hard to get the 2500 dp without someone loaning it to you
-
If somebody's content being an acad, where's the issue in simply recreating the acc if it gets nuked by auto-delete at some point?

Well, there is always the option of donating.
Server space is probably one of the motivations for not passively having accounts just not expire, along with name clunks. I would say on the higher end of 2500, or even 2800 DP just to keep it a privilege and not start having people running around thinking its a right.
Either way, in case it is not the case, you should personally retain the power to revoke said permanent account status at any time (disclaimer would be needed no doubt) in case a belligerent were to go about abusing the system.
-
I'd probably say at least 2800 as well, and I certainly wouldn't be disappointed to see an ever higher DP price for the right. After all, the more DP it takes, the more of a privilege it truly becomes.
I don't even know that there really needs to be a disclaimer that Oliver has the right to revoke that privilege at any time, but I suppose maybe it should be broadcast for clarification's sake... After all, just like any other privilege, nobody's got a right to abuse it.

2000 dp = 1 reset
2500 is a nice round number.
I think 2.5k is good. ~

I put the billboard in today, so this might take a minute.
I need to log who got the non-expiration by being admin/helped and who by buying it ;)

Huzzah, though I'll have to admit, once you get alot of messages on there, it might get tough separating them visually unless we manually color code (which I was too silly to try out on my first attempt).
Regarding a list separating the honorific permanents and the regs, I think that's a good idea for record keeping purposes, since you don't want to forget who received it via doing something for you and who got it as a package.

Missions headquarters on the wikia here (http://forum.shinobilegends.com/index.php/board,50.0.html) pays DP for RP missions! And for the submission of missions too. Clan heads used to pay DP for RP mission as well.
-
Do you get a discount for being one of the eldest member on the site that is still around. ;)
-
:D you have probably so many DP, it hardly matters 8)

I'm not good with money lol. But I'd donate for this no doubt.
I think it's a great idea Neji. One of the best I've seen in awhile with the exception of the split IC - OOC of the village boreds. (Which I promoted whoop)
-
Does the warrior who supported the realm the most get a free pass? >.>
-
I'd love to lock my 3 name accounts in, at least until I decide that I am done with the realm and pass on. That and DP was not a big issue to me anymore that I could chip in some :)
-
I'll see what I can do
^^
-
IT certainly would be a great help in keeping my stock from going inactive before I can get round to managing them all. Especially those accounts I level just to keep them still alive for others.
-
Neji-san, make this a thing soon!
-
Yes please.
-
I would definitely appreciate this as well.
It is definitely an awesome idea.
-
I too would like this. My account thing says i have been around way too long haha.
-
Can we please have an update on when this might possibly be implemented?
Thank you.
-
Done.
-
Done.
You are the boss Neji :)
-
Marvelous

Thought of a question.
If you turn an account permanent, can you still do a name change later?
I imagine it should be possible since its not changing the login name, only the displayed one.

Pretty much

So I suspected but would be nice to get confirmation from Neji anyway.
Edit: Got the confirmation, name changing does indeed work after.
