Title: Hunters Guild: War in a Snowstorm
Post by: Garō, Ichirou on August 13, 2015, 11:20:27 PM
Ichirou stood within the base camp for this operation, Hidden beneath the ice and snow above, this base camp was set up underground, to provide a bit more warmth as well as a drop on the monster that would be hunted today.

They were out in the cold, the terrible cold. A snowstorm ravaged this land endlessly it seemed. Non-stop winds carried the white smokescreen throughout the land, coating the stone and grass that once filled the area with a quiet white blanket.

The other members of the team should show up soon, this hunt was important. A lot of Ichirou's scouting research pointed to the conclusion that the beast they would kill today was actually responsible for the snowstorm that had ravaged this land. If this was the case, then it was possible that the beast had other abilities as well.. But this would be discussed in length with the team upon their arrival.

Ichirou once again wore standard shinobi attire. They had yet to formulate a particular gear for their hunts, and as such Ichirou was frequently caught in the same clothing over and over again. Though most would expect him to dress warmer for the occasion, But his Edo Tensei body didn't even feel the cold, he didn't care at all.

He wore his usual all black shinobi outfit, with his waist loaded with pouches full of equipment for today's combat. Ichirou had a bad feeling about this hunt, he felt as though things would turn sour.

All he could do was keep in his faith in his team, and that's exactly what he did as he waited for them.

Alright, the Hunt Team for this mission is as follows:
Ichirou,
Yujo,
Murciélago,
and Masane,

The post order will be as listed as well, So whenever you guys are ready, lets get this underway!

Phasing through the reinforced southern wall of the bases interior would the Uzumaki enter. His crimson eyes now gazing upon the Zombie that stood a few meters to the north of where Yujo now stood. It was quite obvious why he was brought here, though it was a mystery to him as to why the location of the beast wasn't sent to him so that he could deal with the issue himself.

"Well isn't this place quaint..."

He said sarcastically as he moved across the room to stand before Ichirou.

A white figure made his way to the designated area, the cold wind whipping around him as he made his way through the snow,
excitement evident on his face as he thought of the message he had received, a new way to test just how far his training had come.

He attire consisting of a snow white clock,a long sleeved white shirt and matching gi pants, his long white hair currently up in a pony tail, His image almost completely camouflaged in the the wind and snow except for the black dragon tattoo ending down from his neck and into the folds of his shirt.

Arriving at the location he looks at both of his fellow hunter and nods at them  "Murciélago Or Murci for short".

Masane had beed sitting with her brother, waiting for the others to return. This was going to be hard for her. The frigid conditions they were in had become her weakness as she trained on the incineration tech. She wore her usual gear complete with her paper mask. Her body was lined with katon chakra as a means of staying warm. Her body heat would have been noticable to the crew of huters.
"I may need to summon Tsuyo for this. Cant deal with this ice."
She said just as the others arrived. She sat hugging her knees as she waited to be briefed by her brother.

"Just be careful, your chakra is already effect by my presence ." He responded to Masane as the other two Hunters arrived."Good, we're all here. Now let's get right to business."He would state as he unfurled his briefing scroll onto the table, revealing a sketch of the monster they would be facing.

"Thanks to my scouting, i've got reason to believe that this beast is the cause behind the horrid weather conditions of the area. At this rate the snow storm will spread and begin turning us all into ice caps."He finished his words, taking a second to sneeze before continuing. "I haven't encountered more than one of these things so far, so hopefully this'll be the only one we have to deal with. If My calculations are correct, it's somewhere around 600-650feet tall. So it wont be a walk in the park with this thing, but i've fought bigger."He chuckled as he crossed his arms, waiting for anything the other hunters had to say or mention before they began this deadly hunt.

Upon hearing the goal of the group, the Uzumaki let loose a long winded groan, "I doubt any of you are as accustomed to the temperature as me, but I will say, I can sense this damn thing, and something tells me his lair is gonna be cold enough to pop your little toes right off. So before we start talking about how we are going to combat this beast, we should begin with how you are all going to deal with the temperature."

The Uzumaki began pacing around the room, his mind racing through ideas, to no avail. Soon after he would sort of shrug, figuring someone more resourceful would step up and offer something.

Continued to look at the illustration of the monsters, the gears in his mind turning as he made a few assumptions of the beast "Dragon, reptile, quadruped, possible soft underbelly, extended muscles trailing upwards from jaw show sign of possible weak muscles we can use to injure the beast." he paused for a few seconds "extremely high chance of a Breath attack of some kind."

He finally looked up done inspecting the illustrations and responded to the Uzumaki " Fighting this kind of beast in it's closed domain isn't something I think we should plan on doing especially if it has an all encompassing attack or we could become sitting ducks I think it would be better to set traps or a pincer maneuver on the outside and lead the beast out here though as for the temperature my body is well resilient to cold and hot temperature not at extreme temperatures but should the need arise i can circulate katon chakra through myself to keep warm "

He looks over at the other two hunters "It's best to pair up, one team or person to distract it, while the other 3 attack though if anyone has other plans that's perfectly fine."

He rolled up his sleeves exposing his bare arms and the seals imprinted upon him getting ready to move out, taking off his cloak he offers its to Masane who he can see shivering  "Here it may not help out immensliy but it will keep the cold wind off you"

She stood up and stretched. Masane was indeed cold but she could handle it. She had no choice. "Thank you but I will be fine."
She studied the image provided by her brother. What Merci said seemed to be spot on. She could only hope he was right.

"I will take distraction duty. Should not be too hard to get it's attention."

Masane crossed her arms under her cloak, still staring at the image. This beast was enormous. Masane began to wonder how much they would have to endure in order to bring this beast down. Her Sharingan studied the image closely as she began to plan her course of action.

Ichirou kept a hand to his chin as the others spoke, "I definitely agree that taking it on in it's lair is a bad idea. And distractions are always important. However if anything we should split into two teams of two, a distraction team and an attack team to try to get the jump on the bastard, My body is indestructible, so Masane and eye will take it on to lure it out. Murci, you and Yujo can set up to hit it once we've gotten it out of the lair. I have a general Idea of the lair location but we have to trek through this snowstorm.." Ichirou paused for a moment as he activated his Byakugan, allowing him to see the storm above them and analyze it. "The down side is that this storm is full of chakra, that's what makes me think it's the monsters. It's like a blanket of the same signature for miles." He elaborated as he checked his pouches to make sure he was ready for combat.

Meanwhile, above the meeting location of the four Hunters, the storm raged on. encompassing everything for miles, it was hard to see 50 feet in front of ones self within the storm, and the winds were strong enough to lift a grown man from his feet in certain locations.

Deep within the storm, near it's central point. The beast slumbered. Their target for the hunt wasn't even aware that it was about to come become prey. Either that or it was about to have lunch.

With another groan the Uzumaki took a seat in a manifested throne of Ice, crossed one leg over the other and waited. Within his mind he chuckled at the misinterpretation of his words, likely due to his lacking social skills. Though was he the type of ninja to leave out a rather important detail from his fellow comrades? Of course he was! The hilarity that would ensue could finally break through the boring life of a ninja in a world at peace.

"I am ready whenever you all are, just make sure not to overexert yourselves, sweating out here could mean death."

He said with a solemnity of his voice, that was made to mask the fact that he wished so desperately to fall into a fit of laughter over the ensuing fun. He began scoping out the world above their feet in hopes of finding a proper opening for him to escape this confinement and back out into the freezing temperatures that he loved. Soon finding it, he would materialize another Ice structure above, this one quite literally being a door, and soon after it was made, he would sink into the ice that made up his chair, popping out onto the tundra above, at the door he had manifested.

"Just jump into the Ice chair, I assure you, you will totally phase through just as I did."

This time he could barely hold back his laughter at this rouse.

Listens to his companions and nods at hearing everyone's input.  I think that sounds like a good idea and i'll go with it.
Looking at the Uzumaki phase though the chair and hearing his words he chose to wait and make sure it wasn't some kind of trick. His attitude just spoke volumes of how he saw the situation.

Getting ready and stretching a bit he checked over everything once more to make sure he was ready to head out as he strapped on his white cloak.

"Great. Not only is it cold, but I wont be able to see either."
She said as she activated the Four legs technique. With it's effects she would be able to hear and smell much like a dog. Now she would not need to rely on her eyes as much. Masane held out her right hand and used the summon seal on her wrist to bring fourth a Fuma shuriken. Tied to the center of the tool as a clay ball about the size of a baseball. She was ready to go and as she continued to stare at the picture, she used a bit more Katon chakra to line her body raising her body temperature even more. After a few moments standing next to her would be like standing near a small camp fire.

"We should get started."

Ichirou walked over to the Ice chair that they had been instructed to jump through, giving it a gentle kick at first, to see if he would pass through it.

Assuming that it was solid he would scoff before traveling up a small stone ladder that lead to the entrance of the underground camp Ichirou had crafted. Where he would rendezvous with Yujo, Assuming the others were close behind him he would then shout over the blizzard "If i've been scouting properly, the lair should be in this general direction!."were his words as he began to walk through the storm, he wasn't going to risk flying in these conditions given the winds, and if his companions decided not to follow him, they would soon lose eye-sight of him due to the thickness of the storm.

As Ichirou made an attempt to kick his throne, Yujo's hand would extend outwards to catch his foot, and immediately pull him into the chair, traveling back to the door he had created outside. Once he kicked Ichirou through the door up above, he would peek through the ice chair in the case that anyone didn't care to make the walk back through the underground base. If not, then he would stand with Ichirou on the icy tundra, not at all phased by the storm, in all honesty he actually loved this type of weather, and started to become jaded by his love for snow.

Raised an eyebrow at seeing the hand pop out and catch ichirou's foot but shrugged it off once he saw him enter the chair. Walking forwards he phases through the chair and ends up outside seeing both Riku and Ichirou. Admiring in the convenience  of such a technique he nods at riku showing his thanks and follows them

Masane sighed as she followed suit. Once outside, she began to shiver. "Damn."
She muttered as she scanned the area. The snow beneath her feet would began melt forming a small puddle. At this rate she would be useless to the cause. The girl tried to detect the creature's scent but to no avail.
The chakra infused snow was making it hard to see. This seemed like an impossible job but as long as they had a strategy in play, she had faith that they would prevail.

Theme song for this scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GgMrxk_WPU

Assuming that anyone had actually followed him, Ichirou continued to walk through the storm towards the direction of which he had concluded that the lair would be located. Of course there was a chance that he was wrong, or that the beast had moved. Either way he had to confirm it.

Ichirou pushed through the storm for a bit before stopping and looking back, should his teammates be behind him as he expected, he would release a chain of paper from his hand that would extend to Yujo, then to Murci, and finally to Masane. Ichirou didn't feel the need to verbally explain himself in these conditions. They needed something to make sure they were all together.

As time pressed on the storm would begin to come in and out in spots, weakening and getting stronger until finally it broke. As it became clear the group could see that they were within the eye of the storm. All around the area the storm whirled and continued on, but here in the center there was nothing. It was calm. within the very center (as they were only on the edge of the eye) there rested a large glacier like construct. "That's probably the lair there." Ichirou stated as he moved to take a step forward. As he did the ground in front of him would crack, hard.

The crack would spread rapidly, almost like a signal, It traveled from where Ichirou had stepped to the supposed lair of the beast, and Ichi's suspicion was confirmed. With a loud roar, the beast acknowledged their presence.

As it did, large spikes of Ice would spawn all around the lair, and rapidly spread out. Aiming to make their way to the Hunters locations, and impale them. The spikes were huge, gargantuan even.

Ichirou cursed under his breath and sprouted large wings of paper from his shoulder blades, allowing him to take flight and avoid the spikes. He was sure that his team was more than prepared for this, something so simple should be easily avoidable. But this was only the beginning.

Skipped along, happily like the little snowman guy from Frozen, basking and bathing in the glow of this wasteland.

"Oh how I love the snow~!"

Once the roar came forth, a grand smile grew to bloom on Yujo's face, and immediately he gave zero fuggs and ran head first towards the sound. As the spikes came forth and Ichi flew above and left the team he figured his trend was right as rain; So he would simply phase through the giant Spikes and continue in stride.

"Daddy's coming! No need to be scared!"

Cursed at hearing the ice crack followed by the loud reptilian roar, well their cover was blown no need to go slow anymore crouching down he jumped straight up as he began to channel wind chakra into his feet to initiate his favorite technique.

Reaching the  end of his ascension he creates an air platform underneath his feet as he uses it to jump off it pushing him up even further.

Dodging an incoming ice spike he continues the move as he makes his way upwards from platform to platform easily clearing the flight of the ice spikes.

Not wanting to be caught by surprise again he begins to quickly make his way to the center of the construct via air platforms, his eyes slowly beginning to change as his scleras slowly began to bleed into black from their white original color and his irises slowly went from green to red, his Burakku Saito Devil eyes coming into effect.

His hand beginning to glow as he concentrated black chakra into it, preparing for his attack for when the beast would decide to show itself.

"Fugg!" Said the foul mouthed Uchiha. The spikes were rather unexpected but with her heightened hearing combined with her Sharingan, Masane was able to act. With a mighty leap straight up, Masane initiated the first part of her evasive action. As she moved upward, she used yet another summon seal.

A cloud of smoke spawned at her position and before it had cleared, the red head darted from the cloud upon the back of a large clay dove. Moving straight up Masane opened her right hand and from the mouth in her palm emerged 10 smaller versions of the dove she rode upon.

The smaller creations would simply flew next to their creator. Masane studied the land below and scowled. This was going to be terrible. At least one of the hunters seemed to be having a lovely time.

As the Hunters closed in, the top of the Iceberg within the Center burst open, and from within climbed the gargantuan beast. Releasing yet another roar, The beast would immediately go on the offensive, jumping toward the thing that seemed to be running through it's ice.

As it would land it would erupt in a huge wave of Ice shards and snowy dust. Depending on exactly how Yujo had been moving through the ice would depend on the outcome of the attack, but soon after Ichirou veered in towards it's Location. Coming from it's right side as it stepped back to examine the ground where Yujo had been at the landing point.

as Ichirou closed in, he spawned a Rasengan his right hand, as he gained distance the Rasengan Grew larger and larger, and would continue to grow until it reached the size of the Chōōdama Rasengan. Ichirou aim to fly directly into the side of the beast and send it flying.

Though he was successful and the large Rasengan Impacted the beast, Ichirou didn't expect it to react quickly, and using it's outrageously long tail, it would lash out, striking Ichirou with the tail just before he was out of reach and sending him flying. Crashing into and through several of the Ice spikes.

As the beast jumped from it's cave, Yujo's ice box (it's where his heart used to be) melted into an amalgam of sweet love juices and well, water. His eyes sparkling in delight at the beast, it's icy mane re-freezing his heart, and at that moment, Yujo fell in love.

As the ice shards came forth, Yujo sighed as the decision came to his mind, this glorious beast, the last of his kind, or the fellow hunters, a dead guy, his summoner, and another random guy. At this point Yujo turned on a heel and flared his chakra,

"Alright, new plan, whoever hits his beau---"

At the middle of his double-crossing he was struck in the back by a giant Spike of Ice, which would turn the rest of his "save the animals" speech into something that sounded like gargling. It would send him flying back towards Murci, the Ice spike nearly wide enough to fill a cavity from the base of his pelvis to nearly his neck. He began skidding along the ground, soon to crash into a stop. He would melt the ice with a bit of Katon infused chakra and soon stood to his feet, shaking the snow from him. At which point the hole in his chest began sewing itself shut with the threads that made up his body, soon to find that two of the five hearts in his chest were destroyed.

He turned around back to face the monster and yelled out, "It's fugging pelt is MINE!"

His eyes could only follow the destruction the beast had laid waste to 2 of his fellow hunters being in the air as he had been moving towards the beast only catching the blur of ichirou flying back past him and only hearing the brief yell of riku before he was impaled.

Making another air platform he applied more futon chakra underneath his feet before pushing off, a small boom being heard before he shot himself over towards the dragon's right side another air platform forming under his feet as his hand stopped glowing black and moved into  the shape of a simple finger gun.

A small black orb at the end of his finger, His aim focused on the beast's jaw a simple call ofDeath! echoed out before a beam of black chakra erupted from his finger the move normally used to perform assassinations by piercing through one's body would shoot towards the beasts jaw only instead of simply ending the move should he make contact, he would continue to funnel chakra into the beam and use the second already forming air platform to shoot himself at a 140 degree angle downwards the beam proceeding to attempt to cut through the jaw and into the extended jaw muscle.

Masane had no reason to worry about her brother being hit due to him being an Edo puppet but when Yujo was struck she could only imagine the outcome. Once the man gathered himself and declared ownership of the beast's hide, Masane could not help but chuckle.

"Not so fun now, huh?"

She mumbled under her breath as her smaller doves moved in on the beast, aiming to make contact with the monster's back. Upon impact, if successful, the doves would explode with enough force to level a two story building. She herself had continued upward trying to stay out of the creature's reach.

Masane knew that she would probably need more clay to deal with this. So the girl reached into her cloak and pulled out a rather large scroll. She simply placed it in her lap with one hand over it. Her other hand still clutching the rigged Fuma shuriken as her Sharingan over looked the battlefield taking in every detail.

The beast would fly off to the side and release a roar, crashing through ice and throwing up a huge snowy dust that would bloc vision if for but a few moments. Before the beast was struck with the explosive force of Masane's Attack, throwing up more of the snowy dust and icey debris.

But the attack that revealed the beast once again was the chakra bea that Murci had unleashed upon it. This would reveal an armor of sorts coating the beast, almost making it look like it was frozen solid. Though this was not the case. The dark chakra beam that connected with the ice caused it to melt progressively, though not extensively protecting for long periods of time, it gave the beast it's opening to move.

The beasts icy armor was stronger than Demonic ice, and while in this state the beasts eyes emitted a bright red glow, also giving away it's position.

It was safe to say at this point that this Monster was one way or another related to chakra, given it's abilities thus far. And if any of the hunters had reached this hypothesis it would soon be confirmed as the beast made it's next move.

If examined with a Dojutsu, one would see the beasts flare it's chakra, not to the point that it was visible to the naked eye, but to the point that the ice spikes that surrounded the beast cracked. Once it's chakra flare the beast would launch itself upward, with a technique that was easily related to the Shunshin that Shinobi utilized, though this beast used it on a larger scale, as it lifted from the ground, vanishing with it's speed. It would release a Shockwave that would destroy a lot of the ice spikes it had created. And it's mighty leap revealed it's target. Murci.

The beast would appear within 60 feat of Murci flipping over and lashing down on him with it's tail. Should it connect the beast's huge tail would send Murci flying and leaving him rather shook from the physical impact, if not with a few broken bones. If Murci was hit with the strike, or if he wasn't, the beast would follow through with it's flip and dip into a nosedive, crashing into the ground, on top of Murci if he had been struck.

Ichirou had flown through several large Ice spikes, and crashed into a final one hard enough to lodge himself there. His body had remained in an unconscious state for a for moments before awakening once again as it fully repaired itself.

Ichirou yanked himself from the ice, landing on the ground. He looked around to see the paper his wings had been crafted of strewn about the area.

With a huff he would gather the paper rapidly, forming it around him in a cylindrical tornado as he removed any remaining dust or ice or water from himself and his paper. Once this was done he reformed his wings and took to the skies once again, just in time to witness the beast crashing into the ground.

His body having been taken out for a few moments, his byakugan had deactivated, causing him to have to activate it once again. He eyed the beast, noting the chakra that covered it's body. It was thick, and dense.

Ichirou decided to take flight toward Yujo, whom he could also locate with his byakugan easily, deciding that perhaps a cooperative strike would be more effective.

The beasts armor in it's current state was a bit cracked and shattered due to the bombs that had hit it, with a hole in the right side due to the chakra beam attack.

Though it's right side beneath the ice was a fleshy red. The Rasengan that had hit it having struck before the armor was active, though this didn't seem to inhibit the beast at the time.

As if within his subconscious, Yujo stood completely still, and gathered his chakra, his eyes being blinded momentarily did not hinder him in the slightest as it was his ears that were the most keen of his senses. As the beast came forward, the snow around them being used as catalysts as two bijuu sizes hands came forth to make an attempt to grab the beast, on by it's abdomen and the other where ever he could have latched on, and hold it's position. This was done to accomplish two things, the first, was to hopefully protect his fellow hunters from the impending attack, and the second, if he was successful in capturing it, if only momentarily, giving his comrades an opening to attack.

As he strained to gather the amount of snow and ice necessary to hold a beast of this size, he called out behind him as if he was squeezing from his lower abdomen,

"While I'm YOUNG!!"

If he wasn't successful and he understated the power of this beast, he would form a mirror of ice beneath himself, and possibly Murci if he allowed it, so that if the moment came to pass and neither of them could get out of the way in time, he would allow them both to sink into the ice and port out to the ice door he had created much earlier in the day. Although this would put himself and Murci out of the fight, it was well away from the fight, it was better than the alternative.

His eyes would keep locked on to the dragon, opening slightly in surprise of it's armor and seeing the amount of damage he had caused, Seeing the surge of chakra briefly before it vanished he could only follow the traces left of it before he caught sight of it above him the ginormous tail flying down to swat him like a fly.

He would only have a few seconds before it's tail would make contact, his feet already pushing off an air platform to shoot him from his current angled descent to a straight horizontal 90 degree angle the move pushing him just far enough that the dragon's tail would avoid his spine and clip his legs shooting him downwards away from the dragon caught in a perpetual front spin as he descended and smashed into the snow covered ground, a cloud of ice and snow flying everywhere as it absorbed some of the blow.

Murci would lay still for a few moments to look down at his legs as they lent bent at weird different angles the bones broken in several different places. His face showing no emotion or hint of pain, his eyes would continue to stare at his legs as within a few moments as if they were possessed they would quickly begin to snap back into place multiples sounds of bones breaking and cracking echoing out before they set and regrew his kaguya bloodline making short work of the injury

Standing up a few seconds later his eyes would lock on to the beast as a frown made itself onto his face, His Burakku Saito beginning to glow as the snow and ice around him would blow itself away as a black aura would envelop him, his momentary anger from his injury showing itself as black chakra leaked from his body and wrapped itself around him.

Slamming his hands together his chakra would flare itself even higher as if egging the beast on to come at him, his white hair untying itself from the force as he begins to separate his hands at the whisper of his attack "Black Lance" black chakra focusing and converging into the form of a lance as his hands continue to separate until a six foot black lance slowly starts to descend his foot tapping its end and flipping it upwards his left hand shooting out
and catching it.

His eyes glowing and watching it's chakra he watches the beast awaiting for it's next move, waiting for the best opportune moment to attack as he would plan to throw his lance at the beast where if it would make contact it would explode in a concentrated explosion of black chakra covering 25 feet in every direction the area of effect small but necessary for the majority of it's destructive power to be used to eradicate anything caught in the blast or in the case of the dragon taking a chunk out of it's muscle and armor.

Thankfully it looked like one of his fellow hunters was trying to supply them with this window of opportunity hopefully the beast would try to split's it's attention between both of them and give Yujo the chance to pull it off.

After seeing the monster's icy armor, Masane realized that she needed to step it up. The girl rose to her feet and tucked the fuma shuriken under her cloak as it was useless at the moment. As Yujo attempted to restrain the beast, her left eye began to bleed and in that moment the flames of Amaterasu ignited upon it's face.

At the same time she unrolled the large scroll and unsealed two shoulder satchels. She slung them over her shoulders and fed the clay to her right hand.
With the use of the bracelets she wore, she would be able to enter Sage mode instantly by taking in the Senjutsu stored within. Masane did just that. The girl was begining to hate this creature and wished to end this so she could get out of these frigid conditions.

Red lines formed over her cheek bones signifying her Sage mode. Having used both bracelets she was granted ten turns of Sage mode. The downside was that it would take double that to restore the bracelets. As she prepared her clay she watched to see the effects her Amaterasu had upon this beast.

Though the beast had successfully hit it's target, it was a near miss, causing the strike to end not to plan, but the beast crashed down to the ground immediately anyway, Though to it's dismay, it was met with two large Hyouton hands, Courtesy of Yujo

The beast and the Hunter shared a bond, their love of the ice it seemed. And it response to the giant hands the beast would roar, flexing like shia labeouf (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WzyBl4PgrQ) and releasing large spikes of Ice from random points in it's remaining armor, allowing it to pierce and disable the hands from disabling the beast. Soon after he would break the ice spike off at their bases, and dash forward once again, toward Yujo this time. However, Upon being restrained the beast was also met with the black flames of Amaterasu, the ice that coated the beasts face being light ablaze with the black flames as the beast broke from the binds, Restricting it's vision. In response to this, as the beast would dash, it would detonate the ice on it's face, so to speak. Blasting it off of it's face. Shedding I guess you could say, causing the shards to be eaten by the black flames as they fell to the icy ground.

The beasts face was only exposed for a few moments as it moved, the ice gradually reforming to coat it once again.

Half way through it's charge the beast would leap into the air, opening it's Maw and concentrating a bright blue chakra within it's mouth, that took the form of a ball. Once the ball had reached a reasonable size the beast launched it from it's mouth, aiming to crash into Yujo's stand still location.

The ball functioned a lot like a biju dama, in the way that it was moulded into a ball and launched, as well as producing a sizeable blast radius. However the key difference was that instead of an explosion, the blast sent forth by this beast flash-froze everything within the blast radius, aiming to freeze Yujo with it's strike before landing on the ground and converging on his location. Should he have been froze or not, the beast woud aim to crash it's mighty claw down upon Yujo,, shattering him if he was froze, or simply crushing him if he were not.

Ichirou, seeing Yujo's moves on the beast as well as what it had done to Murci, decided to take a different approach. He would fly wide and to the right of the beast as it moved on Yujo, gathering chakra in his  palm in the form of Rasenga, which would grow rapidly to the size of an Odama Rasengan, before developing blades of wind as it became a RasenShuriken. The complete technique released a bright light, and a loud reverberating sound that echo'd throughout the land. As Ichirou prepared to fling the Rasengan Shuriken he shouted, Increasing the volume of his Voice with Ototon, "Masane!" were his only words as the Shuriken left his hand, blasting forth towards the beast with high speeds.

Ichirou hoped Masane would interact with the technique in a cooperative fashion, possibly allowing them to kill the monster within this attack, if not soon after.

As all of this transpired, any one particular hunter in the group could take a moment to listen and hear a deep rumbling coming from beneath the Ice they fought upon.

Having been on the side lines with his attack charged and ready he waited patiently as he finally found the perfect timing and reared his attack back before pitching it forwards just as the Dragon released it's attack at Ichirou. The Attack barely visible, except for the small black stream in the sky as it shot forward. Its trajectory aiming for the inside of the beasts mouth and into the throat.

Should the attack hit the beast in its mouth or teeth it would detonate and blow up the 25 feet around it in a all encompassing blast, it's intent to eradicate and vaporize what it came into contact with. His main goal the inside where more then likely it was ll just muscle and flesh.

His real aim being at the throat should the attack connect he hoped it would permanently cripple the beast if not out right disable it as having the inner muscle in it's throat vaporized was deadly to most creatures. Should he sadly miss it's mouth completely the Lance would connect with its face and thankfully explode as the beast was regrowing it's armor thus it's full defense armor no where near it's full capabilities.

Standing far from the beast he would begin to generate another one as he sensed a small quacking coming from below the dragon, another Lance soon forming in his hand but not before turning a dark green as he began to infuse wind style chakra into it, the blending of white, green and black forming the dark forest green lance. The Two nature chakra molding and boosting each other's power.

Is it possible for someone else to take up the mantle? A GM is really all that is needed to continue.

The beasts face was only exposed for a few moments as it moved, the ice gradually reforming to coat it once again...

The beast launched itself into the air, preparing the biju-dama like freezing ball. Upon release, the ball would come into contact with the ground, flash freezing a vast amount of the ground in a reverse scorch-earth policy styled attack. The wind and snow would be churned in such a fashion that it would soon amplify the snowstorm, presenting a clue as to why the storm had been formed in the first place. As it was descending, it's eye caught a sliver of chakra heading straight towards it. Expeling ice from its shoulder, it would aim to hit the chakra lance before it could come into direct contact with its jaw, thus causing a premature detonation.

Of course, the beast could not have known about the blast radius, and with said blast radius, its left jaw would become a massive open wound of sorts, flesh vanishing as if an animator had taken an eraser and liberally scrubbed away the skin and muscle just short of the bone. Howling in agony, the beast came crashing down, sending yet another massive wave of snow and wind. Rather than continue to engage, having been severely injured by the previous attack, the beast would attempt to use the cover of the storm to retreat back towards its lair, leaping into the air in order to make it more difficult for its hunter(s) to detect its presence.

Would this be in vain? Perhaps, but the ice dragon had no intentions on continuing the engagement until its wound was covered by the ice armor completely (3 turns).

Stood and watched in horror as his allies disappeared from the earth, not even a single piece of cloth left after the monster previous attack connected with the earth, dozens of thoughts coursing through his head in a small matter of minutes ranging from their state of living to their escape before honing onto the least wanted chance of them dying.

The storm's growing ferocity and envelopment of white would spew and litter the winds as they created an almost impenetrable veil around the area itself as the dragon prepared to take flight, yet from afar where Murciélago stood having been out of the blast radius 2 small black dots could be seen shining and growing brighter as the winds whipped around him.

Murciélago stood still as his left hand began to tighten around his lance, the idea of his fellow comrades slaughtered  gripping his thoughts tightly before vanishing completely the sheer blasphemy of this reptile... this animal attempting to escape infuriating him from the very core of his heart. The beast may have been able to escape others but before his Devil's Eyes  this storm meant nothing, his eyes locking onto the dragon the glowing of it's chakra like a maelstrom before his eyes as he watches it take off.

"A dragon... the ultimate sky beast...an apex predator running from a human because of a flesh wound.... disgraceful"

The fierce fundamentals of survival and living ingrained by his summons coming to mind as he takes a deep breath and begins to move pulling back his arm gripping his Black/Wind chakra infused Lance the silent whisper of his voice echoing out before he fires "Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust... I'll be the wind that wipes you away with nothing but a simple gust" and with that he lets the weapons fly through the sky, this new lance even deadlier then the last as it's speed and destructive capabilities were not only doubled but completely different as it pierced through the sky and towards it's back.

It's offensive capabilities consisting of piercing through an object with it's wind infused chakra and then detonating and exploding into a miniature cyclone of nothing but black and wind natured chakra causing extreme lacerations and gashes to anything within 45 feet carrying along a nasty side effect of said wounds being infused with the toxic, rotting form of his black chakra, which would begin to rot away the wounds and cuts causing a small amount of necrosis to spread externally and internally, the attack should it make direct contact could only begin to be imagined as the size of the beast put it at a huge disadvantage with the sheer amount of wounds it would inflict let alone the lance flying from behind surely taking advantage of it's blind spot.

Murciélago was already gone though from the moment he threw the lance at the retreating beast, 2 small black dots briefly seen through the veil  as he ascended the sky via his air steps another lance beginning to form in his hand as he ran across the sky towards the beast, a black and white light followed by a crackling chirping sound echoing out as he moves.

As fate would have it, as the creature began its descent from its jump, its tail would rise, coming into the trajectory of the lance. Needless to be said direct impact would result  in much of the tail being lost right off of the bat, with the remaining stubbs threatened by the chakra-based necrosis.

Howling out, and realizing that its attempt at concealment as naught, the beast landed, shaking the earth with its great size and seemingly shattering through it, the sound of broken ice likely resonating even through the storm. Descending into the cave systems below, the beast howled in pain and anger, it's flight turning into fight as the hunter clearly had it metaphorically cornered.

With the option of retreat gone, the beast took its great claws and severed the remainder of itss tail, cutting off a sense of aerial balance (and grace) and saving itself from the inevitable destruction, and pain, of rotting from the tail onward. With that lost, it would go down to all fours, its ability to balance on two nuetered by the loss of the tail.

Only one attack had reached it, so the beast began to assume that it had managed to take down the remainder; using the surrounding ice from the cavern below to seal up its wound, the beast took a deep breath, and released a mighty howl at the grounds beneath it. For those on the surface still, it would sound like the screech of Hades, a mixture of a lament and curse to its tormentor that destroyed many of the ice supports down below. This would cause a general cave-in of the ground, as the creature sought to bury its foe, or at least bring him/her back down to its level.

In addition to the ground seemingly crashing into the ground, the effect would announce its renewed desire to beat back the intruder with an offensive defense, rather than pure defense.

Stopping high above the ground on an air platform he watches as his attack connects with the Dragon's tail and almost vanishes from the hundreds of wind blades causing it to plummet towards the ground. Seeing it fall through the ice floor he quickly positioned himself over it, about 80 feet to be exact his eyes tracking the beast as he finishes charging and molding his attack. The white and black lance crackling with arcs of electricity as it primes itself.

Standing still he watches as the beast cut off it's tail, his left arm moving back readying for the throw waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike while his right arm begins to generate a concentrated amount of wind chakra to his hand another lance slowly coming into fruition. He finally sees his chance as he sees the beast fall down on all fours and begin to let out it's howl, The very ground around the beast caving in and causing a huge amount of snow to fly into the storm and produce a blinding veil of snow around the area hiding the majority of the sky. His eyes still seeing the beast's chakra pulsed as it focused on it's lower back where it's legs extended downwards and it's tail connected, his target was found and locked on.

Hoping to catch it even more off guard and have it suspect even more danger was on it's doorstep as it continued to let out it's howl, he channeled chakra into his throat and took a deep breath as he reproduced the cry of his summoning, the unmistakable screech of a Hydra echoing outwards and interrupting it's howl, while his left arm came down and finished it's action the black and white lance flying from his hand and coming straight down towards the beast like a lightning strike from the sky.

This different element combination offensive purpose different from his previous attacks. It's blast radius reduced to a measly 15 feet would detonate on impact and release an extremely high temperature electrical explosion. The majority of it's impact power reduced compared to it counterparts as the black chakra reacted to the lightning element differently in this case bolstering it's static effect as the attack would continue into it's second phase and after detonation begin to expand it's destructive power being changed to an extremely high electrical discharge expanding to 50 feet. The previous impact zone blast radius expanding outwards and creating an electrical field, would attempt to paralyze and mildly electrocute anything within it's area.

His attack aimed for the lower back it's purpose being to en-wrap the beast in the field where it's open wound was available and for the 15 feet to hopefully be enough to puncture through it's armor and vaporize it muscles leaving an open channel for electricity to zap its lower spine or at least open the area up and leave it defenseless in said location. Hopefully the lack of vision caused by the large amount of snow and ice in the storm coupled with the new threat it might perceive being enough to distract it or leave it momentarily opened for his attacks to connect, though even dodging it would still have to move out of the 50 range quite quickly.

Oh how the mighty had fallen so low as to roar and bellow at its quarry, but not so far as to mistake the howl for anything less than a hydra. The beast may have had difficulty seeing in this weather, mildly mind you since this was home turf, but a howl capable of reaching it and being identifiable would have surely given away the beast's location. Now what was the one thing that the hydra most likely was that would make the next move sensible? Large. Being large then, it would be a suitable target.

Though standing on twos was not an option, the beast could still lift its head midhowl. A famaliar ball of flash-freezing chakra would appear, except this time it would be released in a wide-arc beam, freezing the very air solid (the water in it that is) in a deadly trail upwards towards Murc and his incoming spear. The beam would likely freeze the spear in its place, or at least dramatically alter its course to a point where it would no longer be directed at the beast at all, and threaten to freeze Murc where he levitated/flew/stood.

A hydra, if struck dead in the chest, would be frozen solid, and drop to the ground with a mighty thud. Naturally then, after expelling the beam, the beast would back away from its position, especially since the arcing blast of ice would also descend regardless of a hit or not. Its eyes flashed red once again, a thermal sight of sorts giving its intended quarry a white glow in comparison to its surroundings. It expected either a bright glow for a miss, and a dimming glow for a partial hit. Of course, presuming Murc had dodged the attack, he would now be again visible to the beast unless he had reached around to a blind spot, which would be unlikely if he was still high in the air.

Standing still he watched as his lance collided with the freezing beam and detonated the ever expanding electrical field smashing against the beam as the dragon completed its maneuver the  formation of the spherical attack providing cover at the angle he was standing in as the beam fought with his attack creating a gap in the airspace hardly wasting time though he rears back his wind lance and lets it fly straight down towards the beast in the same trajectory as his last attack. The Ice beam finishing it maneuver and his electrical field in place quickly becoming non existent as the wind lance would slice through it like butter the elemental dominance showing it's worth, as it shot through it and continued towards it target it's effects the same as the last time when he used it against the dragon.

Not one to be idle though he stood there as he concentrated on the chakra flowing through his body, the black dragon tattoo on his shoulder extending and wrapping its head around his neck  as if ready to rip a piece out of him. The eerie black glow of it symbolizing it's activation as the small area around him began to grow heavy, and snow began to melt, the air around him becoming toxic as his tattoo broke the very few taboo laws of nature and began to break apart the delicate threads of nature chakra, the bastardization of such pure energy becoming unraveled exploding outwards in a dark power as it injected itself into his body, his black chakra reacting in kind and exploding outwards as it consumed this power and evolved itself into it's darker stage.

The chakra exploding from his body quickly changing hue as red and purple infused itself, and growing more violent and poisonous in nature, his eye's brought upon by his black chakra also evolving as the pure black in his eyes began to change, the stormy mixture of all 3 colors flowing across his eyes in a never ending dance as his power finally came to it's full form know only as corrupted chakra.

This being done after he threw his lance of wind he stood as the power coursed through him and changed the very nature of his chakra. No actions being taken as his body accustomed it self once again to this power.

Due to new circumstances regarding rewards and spoils I will be dropping out of this hunt and having it come to a close. No point in working to not get anything. I thank both Ichi and especially Eric in continuing this hunt and working with me to try to finish this. I hope we can have another good monster fight soon.
