I and Rita will sing all of your dragon horde to sleep. And then we will "shake things up" with your other minions. The Gen'ei creatures I will have to hire Jestar for...

I can get Bocc to pray away the rest of the opposition. Between the three of us at the last floor, I'm sure we could not just seal you, but give you a good headache at that. XP
Given that I sure don't have any tricks up my sleeves or have anything but generic dragons and one Gen'ei-using alt, then of course I'm going to wind up sealed and get a headache in the process.  ;)

If you want, I got a marker. I can be the moon, you can be the sun. :D And together, we shall claim the sealing technique, so that we may ironically seal Yumei using it.  8)
Guys I'm just gonna use my "punch to the head" technique on Yūmei and he'll lose.

Assuming either of you can get to me intact.

Bijuu Arena / Re: Bijuu Rules Question

double posting here....

Perhaps Yumei can format a section on the tailed beast's page to include the challenge lists for each beast.

then once the OOC rules are confirmed they can be listed there to replace the RPing ones.

I believe it would be the easiest for hosts (who personally I believe have a responsibility to manage their own lists) to use the wiki's forum, as this way they'll be able to modify their top posts. I created a new board in the wiki forum, however I recommend creating a new topic by clicking on the "Start Discussion" button at the bottom of the Tailed Beasts page. I've created a sample thread here, although I'll leave it to the thread starters to format their lists however they like (so long as it's done sensibly).

Spam / Final Fantasy XIV 14-Day Free Trial
« on: August 03, 2014, 03:01:36 PM »
http://www.ffxiv-freetrial.com/

Final Fantasy XIV (a MMORPG) is currently having a 14-day free trial (check the site linked above). If you're interested in giving it a try, I strongly recommend that you download the benchmark (listed below) to see first if your PC can run it (and how well).

| FAQ | Benchmark |

Some restrictions apply:
  • Characters cannot exceed level 20 for all classes.
  • Gil that can be carried is capped at 20000.
  • /shout, /yell, and /tell cannot be used. (Means you can't make zone-wide comments or privately message players)
  • The Market Board cannot be used.
  • Trades cannot be made. (Means nobody can gift you items or money, and neither can you)
  • The Moogle Delivery Service cannot be used. (Means nobody can send you mail/archived messages, and neither can you)
  • Retainers cannot be used or hired.
  • Linkshells cannot be created, but Free Trial users can join already existing linkshells.
  • Free Trial users cannot join Free Companies.
  • Free Trial users cannot invite other players to their party. (Means only a non-trial player can invite you to their party)
  • Free Trial users cannot recruit party members via the Party Finder. (Means you can't set up a recruitment notice for others to join your party)
  • However, Free Trial users can be invited to parties and use the Duty Finder feature. (in-game matchmaking system)

Village Square / Re: World Map on the Wikia
« on: July 26, 2014, 12:40:35 AM »
One of the reasons I'm pretty skeptical about having a larger world map to accommodate individual character locations is that people may simply either become too lazy, or forget to update their present location and confuse everybody who uses the map to locate them. While this may be more useful to tracking where roaming tailed beasts and hosts are, they're rarely in the same place for too long, and hence if their location isn't kept updated consistently then there'd be a fair amount of distress.

At the very list you can filter out pins, so while the map may (eventually) be congested with pins for different categories, filtering which ones appear should be a decent workaround.

I haven't fully tested it out yet, but if you have an image larger than 60*60 pixels, you can replace the default marker for a certain category. I need to do more research on this.

It was the map with the highest resolution I had already uploaded to the wiki, but if I can find a nice, larger map I'll try to move everything to that instead. Because though there aren't any locations clustered up that don't share the same plot, I don't think it's an absolute necessity at this point to use a larger image.

I've almost forgotten to mention, but other maps can be created on the wiki too. For instance, the layout of a village or a building.

Village Square / World Map on the Wikia
« on: July 25, 2014, 04:07:47 AM »
I've created a map on the wikia for everybody to use. I've also mucked up on the name (it's Village Locations instead of World Map), so please don't pay too much heed to it.

Link

I've already set the locations for some categories such as major and minor villages, and have created categories for events.

Presently there are categories for:
  • Major Villages
  • Minor Villages
  • Sacred Places
(Summoning Homelands, such as Mount Toads)
  • Tournaments
  • Festivals

Anybody logged into the wikia can edit it, so please don't vandalize it.
Additionally, anybody can create their own categories. I do ask though that you do not create categories exclusively for your own usage, but rather ones that everybody can use.

If you have any ideas for further categories, do please share them!

Note: Other maps can be created on the wiki too. (Link)

each and every one of our mindsets is unique

You see suggestions more of help rather than criticism.

Indeed. Criticisms would only help when they're elaborated on, simply saying that the wikia's biased is a rather vague perspective.

contacted myself in-game so that the list can be updated.

I thought it could be edited by them? I'm confused now.
I do suppose this then: Only [logged in] members of the wikia may edit the page, as the page's source code is locked so as to prevent vandalism (which has been done in the past) to it. Should anybody from SL wish to have a claim added to the list, yet not wish to join the wikia for personal reasons, then they should contact myself (or any other registered user) for the deed to be done.

I do admit though, that my previous post was rather vague.  :-|

Lastly, Yumei's site, as forsaken as it is by the majority of people, does show a bit of bias in it; I can't really say much as, just about, everything does. But, in short, I point that out in my offense against this to say: what if the person with that contract doesn't want to *share*? Who's going to make them do it? What if someone else wants it? Etc. What if someone who has ties with the site claims something after someone sort-of unknown does? They'll believe the site over the person because of credibility. Such as the fact that lots of people say they have Totsuka blade, but Yumei states that Mioku (last time I checked) had it. Zyeta had it before him; did Zyeta just give it to him? And, even if he did, what about when something else new (overpowered.jpg) comes out? Do we message Yumei as a first-come first-serve or can he choose? Etc.
It helps when people make suggestions instead of criticisms, after all, each and every one of our mindsets is unique.  :)

Zyeta dropped his claim over the Sword of Totsuka after Mioku revealed that Enishi had [somehow] obtained it soon after it made it appearance in the manga (so, about a couple of years ago).

I have compiled a list here of canon 'items' which have been claimed by players, and is edited by players. Although I do admit, that it isn't entirely up-to-date, as not everybody who have claimed to be the sole (or branch) possessor have contacted myself in-game so that the list can be updated.

Question: Should the number of KGs per person be limited? If so under what criteria?
I believe that players should not have their KG's limited in the contest, however perhaps each match could have a set of restrictions, such as 'You may not use Katon or Raiton', or 'You may only use taijutsu' just to add in a little variety?

Question: How many affinities do the Chuunin NPCs get? Are there any other restrictions that need to be placed upon them?
Each should only be limited to possessing one Kekkei Genkai max, if any at all. That being said, one NPC should possess in my opinion, only one chakra affinity. They aren't necessarily going to be doing all of the player's fighting for them.

Who can participate?
Jounin+, I believe.
