Why only apply the Doujutsu retroactively? Is it really fair to say that in the future, you HAVE to have Sharingan and Mokuton in order to have Rinnegan? I don't think  it's right to tell people that they have to set their characters up in a certain way. If Byakugan and Hyouton are being accepted, then they should be accepted regardless of when the person obtains their KG. It's not like many people choose Byakugan or Hyouton in the first place.

As you said not many people pick Byakugan and Hyouton in the first place. So, with that, why are you arguing with what I said? Also, it is fair if they pick it after the latest chapter. Why? Because SL follows the manga and the manga states what you need. Letting people reborn in Byakugan and Hyouton now if they already haven't is similar to just letting people learn Sage Mode. The rules of SL are you can't, but if people are breaking the rules of the manga and not reborning in Sharingan and Mokuton for Rinnegan then why shouldn't they be able to learn Sage Mode or Gates?

Shinobi Legends follows the manga and as the manga states you require the Senju DNA if it's not Mokuton and the Uchiha DNA. It's a lame excuse to say that the Byakugan and Hyouton counts on awakening the Rinnegan legitmately. If they want the Rinnegan legitmately then they can always create an secondary, tertiary or whatever account and make this their Rinnegan account. Or on that matter if they went for the Byakugan instead of the Sharingan, replace the Rinnegan with a Kekkei Tota as it's almost on the same level on the terms of firepower as the Rinnegan, or yet another advanced Kekkei Genkai like the Magnet Release or Poison Release or some other advanced Kekkei Genkai.

Wasn't Hyuuga once said to have been related to the Uchiha in some way, shape, or form? I believe that the blood connection could suffice if people are still upset about hyuuga not being good enough for Rinnegan. As for the Mokuton/Ice and such, only Hashirama had wood style yet there were many Senju. It doesn't take a certain elemental ninjutsu style to be able to have Senju blood. Yes, people are going to say "Oh, get an elemental KG before claiming Senju/Uzumaki/Senjumaki(I don't care)" Well, it doesn't just have to be mokuton. If the hyuuga were proven to be non-uchiha in any way, well screw it, we can say it is.

It wasn't an official announcement that the Hyuugas are related to the Uchihas in some way, shape or form. It was merely an theory stated by Kakashi or some other person I can't remember. But yeah, I agree with you, Hashirama was the only Senju who possessed the Mokuton Kekkei Genkai as he was the sole user and creator of the advanced Kekkei Genkai before Madara implanted Hashirama's DNA into himself and Obito. You don't really need the Mokuton just to be a "legit" Rinnegan user. All you need to be is either an descendant of the Uchiha or Senju clan and transplant the other Rinnegan user's eyes into yourself like Madara did to Nagato. Hell, Nagato destroyed an entire village just by using some borrowed power, yet, he possessed the Senju genetics whilst he doesn't possess the Mokuton. That was the reason why Nagato was able to use the said implanted eyes powers without requiring the Mokuton.

So my point is, no one needs to be a Mokuton user just to gain the Rinnegan, all they need is the genetics of both the Senju and Uchiha clan, however, they need a reasonable explaination how their characters are hailing from both Uchiha and Senju clan. However, I think it should take people some time/period before they can really unlock the Rinnegan, you know, just like the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. Even though I still dislike the Rinnegan by a very high degree.

On the side note; If some people are really that desperate for the Rinnegan then I would say they need to have a limit from using the Rinnegan. Nagato overused the Rinnegan for like 20 years or more prior the start of the Naruto series and he nearly died while confronting Naruto as the Six to Eight-Tailed Kyuubi. Obito can only use the Outer Path & the Human Path, but only to some extent. If he uses other paths then those two will it greatly consume his chakra. Madara could only use all the paths because he was born with an extremely high chakra stamina and by the fact that he's immortal, Nagato could only use all the paths as well because he's an Uzumaki, and as an Uzumaki, they are naturally born with a lot of chakra reserves and are blessed with an exceptionally long potential lifespan and strong life-force.

We learned soooo much this chapter. Hurray for deep story progression!

But for reals, if Obito is seriously just flippin' his switch just because of Rin's death, then he's bein' a baby. >_>

I wanted to know more about Rin, what connection she had to Kirigakure and why was she so valuable? Kishimoto didn't even bother giving us any further details about Rin and her ties with Kirigakure.

And I agree, Obito is just a whiny crybaby like every other Uchihas (Excluding Itachi) . Madara won't stop talking about or ogling Hashirama. Hell, he even made a "baby" with his DNA due to the fact that he got rejected in turn for Mito Uzumaki. Sasuke & Obito, whilst they had a lot of changes to return backto Konoha an change their fates, remained Missing-nin and finally some International Criminals due to the lost of either family members or a love interest. Kakashi, unlike Obito, got over his life and is a G. Here's why:

1. Kakashi killed his best friend's love interest and unlocked the Mangekyō Sharingan, without even being aware of it himself.

2. Kakashi has completed far more missions than Minato. Even by the time Minato became the Yondaime Hokage.

3. Kakashi, unlike Obito doesn't attempt to destroy an entire village, being responsible on killing his teacher and his wife resulting their child on being an orphan and hated by almost everyone in his village (Naruto). He were also responsible for his own clan's extinction which resulted the last survivors on this clan on becoming fatally ill and die of an unknown disease (Itachi) or lead an 7 year old boy on having different dreams becoming an Interminational Criminal. (Sasuke)

4. Kakashi became an ANBU Captain at the age of 14 while Obito became an International Criminal by the age of 14.

5. Kakashi had gone through a lot of crap and constant emotional turmoil, if not Gaara. And yet, he is still the good guy and not mentally ill as either Obito or Sasuke.

He's a badass indeed.

In my opinion, Rinnegan shouldn't even be added to the Kekkei Genkai system in the first place. The only reason it got added was because people constantly begged Oliver (Neji) on adding it to the Kekkei Genkai system here in the Forums. I guess he had enough about hearing people's constant begging and added the Rinnegan to the Kekkei Genkai system, it was a horrible mistake on adding it to the system as now everyone are seeking even more and more power than wisdom. It takes away all of your character's natural strength and only adds more firepower. It's like spamming the Kamehameha wave every two episodes of Dragon Ball Z instead of using their fists or experience of being an veteran in the battlefield. It's also like adding more nuclear weapons to the military forces; It's enough to bankrupt an entire country.

It shouldn't have been added to the Kekkei Genkai system neither because we hadn't gotten any further details about the Rinnegan and it's secrets. It was just Madara's mere theory that you can not gain the Rinnegan unless you have the DNA of the Uchiha and Senju, it was not an official clarification. We have to wait until tomorrow or next week or some time to let Kishimoto fully explain the Rinnegan.

In other words, I disagree with everyone's, including Yuumei's statement of how to officially awaken the Rinnegan. I hold myself commit to my words and I will so as and on forward until we got a more detailed explaination to this issue.

Until then (In my opinion), every Rinnegan users Rinnegan abilities and eye in general, are locked. And if not, then as I said before, they are mere pirated copies.

No, now many of the Rinnegan users are seeking the Sharingan & Mokuton (Senju Genes) to officially "claim" the Rinnegan. I tell you, sometimes I wish Admin Neji never even added that stupid eye to the Kekkei Genkai system in the first place. Toad Sage Arts, yes, but Rinnegan is a no go. The Rinnegan needs to get limited from using. Only a very few amount of people here on Shinobi Legends deserves to be using the Rinnegan.

Well it shouldn't be too much of a problem. With this new information brought to us by Kishimoto, people have to work thrice as hard to grab the Rinnegan. To me it seems ya gotta have at least four resets. Two in Uchiha (for mangekyou and evolution into EMS possibility), one in Senju for the simple genes, then they get access to Rinnegan which in itself is 6 more resets. In complete honesty, it's a lot of work, and I do in fact see people getting tired of leveling by the time they get to 1st path.

The females have to shake their bootylicious booty like a Polaroid picture like no tomorrow to unlock the Rinnegan! The males however, just have to make out with Mei Terumī to unlock the Rinnegan.

Well it isn't revealed though I'm most certain that since Nagato was apart of the Uzumaki Clan as they have strong blood relation to Senju Genes causing them to be within him, though regardless of such Nagato merely had implants. I'm happy that my character still isn't effected by this as I don't ever plan on resetting an Uzumaki with Sharingan and will continue to claim Keitō having pirated rinnegan.

The only reason Nagato's hailing from the Senju lineage is because Mito Uzumaki married Hashirama Senju, the founder and leader of the Senju Clan. So that's pretty much the reason why Nagato's from the Senju lineage. The Uzumakis we have in the present day of the Naruto series are pretty much descendants of the Senju and Uzumaki Clan.

- Naruto, while we still don't know anything yet about his ancestors is quite possibly a descendant from the Senju Clan because of Kushina's genes.

- Tsunade is hailing from both the Senju and Uzumaki Clan as she is the granddaughter of Hashirama Senju & Mito Uzumaki. However, strange enough, she never used the "Uzumaki" as her middle name and remained loyal to the Senju Clan.

- Karin has we yet to know anything about. But I'll highly doubt Kishimoto even bothers to switch from Obito's background to Karin's all of sudden without a reason.

What about people who had the resets before this chapter and had gone with byakugan instead of sharingan? Would it be valid if they voided all byakugan abilities and instead claim sharingan?

This is still invalid, regardless if you possessed the Sharingan formerly before you changed Doujutsu to the Byakugan. This is like breaking the fourth-wall. Firstly, you are abandoning your Sharingan eyes for a new pair of eyes. So you aren't able to use the Sharingan after you've given them away or abandoned them. If you replaced them with the Byakugan, then you can only use the Byakugan.

However, you can keep one Sharingan eye and transplant the Byakugan eye to the other one that requires an eye, but it'll require a certain amount of chakra stamina and control to keep the said implanted Sharingan active. The same goes for the Byakugan if you want to activate and de-activate it.

Oh, I know that's true, but with sharingan going mainstream, and Byakugan warming the bench nowadays, everyone would know the sharingan's power and naturally go after that. Unless Kishi brings it back by saying something ultra far-fetched like byakugan transforming into some new doujutsu, i'm afraid that most will go with uchiha due to sheer popularity.

Then I would say this idiom to those who are butthurt because they require the Senju & Uchiha DNA aka the full reset Rinnegan users; "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."

Unfortunately, if this is how it's going to go down in the doujutsu game, prepare to see more Uchiha than ever before. Poor Hyuuga.

Byakugan > Sharingan.

This was proven back in Part 1 of Naruto where the Byakugan was actually stronger and had more effective abilities than the Sharingan other than it's copy ability & the ability to see your opponent's movements. Take Neji's battle against Naruto back in the Chuunin Exams or his battle against Kidomaru as an example. The only reason the Sharingan is overpowered is because Kishimoto has an Uchiha fetish.

That is still invalid, until you're reborn as both Uchiha & Senju in-game, your Rinnegan is locked. It's like saying you can use the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan just because you've reached the "Grand Master Uchiha" title. You can't claim the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan unless you lose your sight entirely and transplant the other person's eyes who's blood related to you into yourself, RP-wise.

So pretty much, I wouldn't count those who do not possess both the Uchiha's & Senju's power as the "real" Rinnegan as Kishimoto established. I would rather say they are pirated copies.

Denigrated comment to those who solely went for the Rinnegan, yes. But it's the mere truth.

This chapter has further established that the Gedō Mazō sealing statue can only be summoned and used by those who possess the DNA of the Uchiha and Senju Clan. It has also been noted that it took Madara like, five decades just to unlock the Rinnegan, and the moment he unlocked the Rinnegan was at the moment he was about to die.

I think it's good that only those who possess the DNA of the Uchiha and Senju clan can claim the Rinnegan as everyone on Shinobi Legends waddles around and claims the Rinnegan. To be quite frank; Rinnegan, like the Flying Thunder God Technique, should remain unique and not be unlocked just because you've gained the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. It is said to be used many decades ago back in the days when the Sage of the Six Paths was still alive and now in the present days; The Rinnegan, in general, like Chiyo's "One's Own Life Reincarnation" technique is almost lost forever.
