Feature Requests / Re: New Village Proposition?
« on: October 11, 2015, 10:01:51 PM »
Honestly, while I want Uzushiogakure as much as the next person, I feel like Amegakure also deserves a village of their own. Shit, they've been asking this for nine years already. If Uzushio happens to win this poll and their village becomes official, I feel like it would be a huge kick in the nuts for Ame. So instead, how about we go for this proposal, since nobody wants to change Hoshigakure, how about we change Jiseigakure to Amegakure instead, ya? It's not like it'll be a huge loss for us, no one bothers to visit Jisei ever anyway, Mount shop and Ichiraku aside. And as far as I'm concerned, the village doesn't exist in the Naruto Universe, so it's not a huge loss for us, RP-wisely.

Guide #6

Root ANBU Characters

A friend of mine over on Shinobi Legends asked me how to create a Root ANBU character. Whilst the Root Anbu is one scary branch to deal with, I'll gladly help my friend and you guys along the way~ :smt049 I'm gonna make this guide short and to the point.

  • Root members don't know or don't remember their names. They're always given codenames per mission.

  • Before becoming successful Root members, one must undergo training to remove their emotional sense, while they live and grow with another potential Root member like a sibling, and then kill that person, effectively destroying the rest of their their sense of emotion and rendering them emotionally barren.

  • Abilities vary in Root. For all we know, we've seen Sai and his art, and Fuu and Torune with the Yamanaka and the Aburame abilities respectively in the manga.

  • Root is an underground organization, while it is indeed an official organization it is for the most part autonomous. If your character is set in the Root, he/she can't attract attention so much.

  • Root members have a set uniform that Sai models quite nicely. They also wear ANBU masks and cloaks from time to time. However, they also have other attires underneath that bare-midriff-jacket-thingy.

  • Root members are extremely loyal to their boss before his/her's death. And a seal on their tongue that will be triggered when they talk about them and their secrets and would render them incapable of speech or movement is there to be a warning.

  • If a Root trainee is unable to lose his/her emotions, they're discharged from the organization. Or as how I understand it.

  • Sai is by far the first member that has regained his emotions years after being trained to lose them in the manga. Creating a character like that would be a little iffy.

Usually, the longest seals a ninja can assign to a jutsu is about five. Some techniques, like the Body Flicker, call for one (Tiger).

The longest is 44. Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique
http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Water_Release%3A_Water_Dragon_Bullet_Technique

This website(http://www.narutohq.com/ninjutsu.php) has the ranges as...
- short range (0 - 5 meters)
- mid range (5 - 10 meters)
- long range  (10 meters+)

Just providing another opinion about the ranges

Ah, is that so. Well, yeah, I was a bit unsure on the jutsu ranges initially, so I went with my hypothesis pertaining jutsu and their ranges, judging by their classifications. From the looks of it, Leafninja provides me the same answer as yours.

Gonna edit right away.

Oh please, with Ichiro and Masane gone Ame has basically nobody else than Kage. Hoshi already has minor activity, and its going to see more too now that my character is recovered.

Oh c'mon! Amegakure has to be active in some way, you can't just tell me Kage is the only person keeping this village aliv---

Actually, nevermind. The village is pretty much nigh-inactive. As to which village I chose to become official on Shinobi Legends, I voted for Uzushiogakure, just 'cause, we need more gingers for the greater good of this world.

Months late for this, but whatever. I don't want to make a dupe thread. Basically... After all these years with the characters talking about peace, war and hatred I can't believe it abandoned its shonen plot, leaving everything important unresolved, and the only thing that got resolved was the stupid shipping war. I've never been so disappointed for an ending since Harry Potter.

Pathetic.

On the brighter note, Asuma & Kurenai's daughter sure is a 3.14 tomboy grill. Hmmm~ I also really like Mitsuki, aesthetically. They're probably the only ones amongst the new generation brats I like. I hate everyone else. Lol.

I'd say rename Hidden Otogakure to Uzushiogakure in the meantime you can rename Hoshigakure to Amegakure or vice-versa. It's not like anyone'd ever visit that deserted village in the first place, chakra recovery and plastic surgery aside. RP-wise, this village is pointless.

So to clarify the poll is about turning the other oto into either uzushio or ame?

Yes.

I don't know why people are so unhappy. It rather excites me. I once again have a good/worthy bad guy to go track down.... After killing Yumei and Bocc getting the ban the site pretty much lost its luster for me.

My rival has finally returned... I love you Boccy!!!!

All bs aside although our characters hate each other Bocc and I always tended to get along and could compromise and talk stuff out. So I don't really see him as a bad guy.

its not that i am unhappy with bocc returning whatsoever, its rather, i just couldn't care less if he's here or not, it's not like his influence is gonna affect my rp, like becquerel said, hes not gonna stop me from having fun lol

Naruto / Re: Your favorite heros and why
« on: October 08, 2015, 12:29:38 AM »
Some months late for this thread, but meh, whatever. I didn't want to make a dupe thread. As to who is my favorite character (I'm not using the keyword hero as there are no heroes in this series), Sasuke is one of my all-time favorite characters of this series. Not only my all-time favorite character but he's pretty much the only good thing that came from that atrocious squad that is Team 7. I'm for real here, he's far more interesting than the majority of the characters in this series. Especially after he left the village. Whenever he got an arc to himself, the series felt like a proper Shonen manga. While Naruto was going through some boring training arcs or showing up at the last minute in Shikamaru's revenge arc, Sasuke was beating major villains like Orochimaru, assembling his own team, killing two Akatsuki members, freeing prisoners, etc. People can hate him, and bash him for all I care, but at least he's acting like a true protagonist unlike Naruto Uzumaki.

At the same time, he's also like the antithesis of the series. He didn't care about “bond”, everyone whined about loneliness, Naruto especially, he coped with it well. Everyone lived for their village, he wanted to destroy it. He didn't want any home or any friends. The fandom keeps forcing their cheesy “happiness”, “family”, “papasuke” “bond” expectations on him, and he's still saying no. This is my favourite thing about Sasuke, he hated everything the series tried to preach.

But too bad he's a main character and Naruto's best friend, and there's never a chance he could be a fully fledged villain. And too bad he had to accept the nonsensical Talk no Jutsu just like everyone else. Well, I guess it never mattered, because most characters, if not all, had no conviction in this series, not even the major villains.

With this I can easily just pull a Joseph Joestar and turn the tables. Doesn't matter how strong you are, I'd win either way.

I still don't see how you can say the SoSP existed at SL. I don't remember tat in our history. If you argument is he has to to make logic sense. Well no he doesn't. We don't need logic... You just have it.

And as for my Hetmit Chakra is it spiritual energy purely. Nothing physical can harm it. It attacks the soul of a victim. Crafted to battle Edo Zombie. I never use it though cause it is Op yet can be dodged simple. Which Minot telling case you can figure it out on your own.

I would use it agianst Kage though if he planned to us these balls or if facing a ton of zombies solo.

In the end just don't rp with Kage if you don't like it. If he refuses to void them during tailed beast matches  strip him.

It doesn't matter whether or not you are in the possession of the Gift of the Hermit Group energy, or if it's spiritual energy whatsoever, it wouldn't make any difference towards those balls.

The Truth-Seeking Balls, like the Dust Release, destroys all things at a molecular level.

The Truth-Seeking Balls are capable of easily destroying things that are NOT made of chakra, just the same as anything else.

The Truth-Seeking Balls, are capable of destroying things that are capable of destroying anything.

The Truth-Seeking Balls negates regeneration techniques through the use of Yin-Yang Release (Spiritual and Physical energy). They destroy both Physical Matter, and Spiritual Energy.

The Truth-Seeking Balls can not be touched by a non-Six Paths Senjutsu/Chakra or Regular Senjutsu user.

I keep hearing this, "SL History" or, "SL Timeline" being thrown everywhere. I really think somebody should make a thread pertaining this so-called timeline, history or whatever so newbies or old veterans (such as myself) can get a better grasp of the going-ons on Shinobi Legends. Perhaps an expanded univerese, akin to the Star Wars Expanded Universe? As far as I'm aware, Shinobi Legends doesn't have one.

Unless they're the Ten-Tails' Jinchruiki, nope. But they still have all those other unique powers at their arsenal.

Okay, I thought so but then I see a SL character who has Rinnegan yet is training for TSB. >.>

Probably Yomi you're talking, though, from what I've heard from a couple of people, she's so far refused to tell people how she's training to attain them. So just ignore her claims of being in possession of the Truth-Seeking Balls.
