Title: Hiraishin (flying Thunder God) Student-Teacher Rule
Post by: Ѕhadow on April 21, 2015, 10:59:07 PM
Student-Teacher rule. The rule is simple. One teacher to one student. No more than that at any given time. I'll use myself as an example.

Shadow (Teacher)
Ramen (Student)

After I teach it to Ramen I can't teach it to anyone else nor can Ramen teach it to anyone. Only after one dies/leaves/has their memory of it swept then it can be taught.

If I never do any of those things and Ramen wants to teach someone then he's shit out of luck the same goes for the other way around.

This will apply to all those who agree to it.

List of those abiding by the rule:
Shadow
Jayjay
Kamui

List of students to clarify:
Hono (Kamui)

I abide by this Student-Teacher Rule. I'll choose wisely.

I've been following the teacher-student rule with Edo Tensei, I don't see this hurting roleplay anytime soon. So I herby abide by these words and rules of conduct. :D

Isn't it kind of... Well... Late for a student-teacher rule formality regarding Hiraishin?

Not at all. Better to have one at some point than never.

Personally, I think that's a pretty stupid rule. Because that means that there's a max limit of people that can use that ability. Once everyone has taught someone, until one or the other leaves, it's basically locked away from everyone else. It kind of defeats the whole idea of a 'teacher'.

And if you guys start applying these rules to one technique, likely it's going to trickle on down to everything else. Making such a fuss over techniques just seems so fickle. If someone's got a skill that they want to teach to someone, and they have students, why not just teach people to use it?

That's the whole point of the rule, to limit the number of people that can use it. Also I'm not forcing anyone to agree with this. I will try to persuade them to and may or may not succeed. I just don't want such a technique belonging to everyone and their grandma.

I'd like to share that people who learn Hiraishin from me cannot teach(Jay, Keito, anyone else I decided) because I use a signing scroll like Aaron does.

That is all.

I think it is stupid too. Basically it is a power trip designed to control and restrict the RP freedoms and creativity of others out of a need to feel superior and in charge.

"Also I'm not forcing anyone to agree with this."

Doesn't Dark already have a student-teacher rule that is very similar to this? To my knowledge, those who pirated or learned from Tomi or anyone he directly taught are the main reason hiraishin has spread so relatively far.

I think he does. Not sure. Either way this is for all the others.

You rules...that you do not force on others...and have not forced on others in the past...have a way of excluding people in the community from participating in RP because the 3 guys rping in the village play by that rule and they will not play with guy #4 because he does not wish to play by that rule. SO guy #4 gets ignored and ridiculed and pushed to the side while guys 1, 2 and 3 make rp.

But no...you are NOT forcing people to abide by your rules.

see how it works?

Well, no one is literally be forced.  8)

No I'm not forcing anyone to abide by them. If those 3 guys exclude guy #4 from RP then guess who did it? THE THREE GUYS DID. Not me. If I propose to do something and other people follow then it's on them. I'm not like 'hey, you agree to this or GTFO' Nope. I'm like 'here's an idea and you can agree with it if you want to'.

So no Kayenta I am NOT forcing people to abide by my proposals.

Well Kay aren't you the one who says we should all rp how we want to and with whom we want to? If they want to rp their way and that means someone gets voided then so be it that is the right they have.

I mean I find it odd that you preach that yet claim that they shouldn't rp as they see fit.

I myself agree to nothing. However, I do not plan to teach it to anyone else as it stands.
