Title: Eric Nara vs Ichirou Senju
Post by: Eric on October 29, 2014, 03:09:57 AM

Current Rules as of 08-30-14 Subject to revision

 ºHow to declare a winnerº
The battle commences with the initial post & terminates once either combatant is unable to continue. Such a feat can result in several ways, including knock-outs (concussions, etc.), full paralysis, almost-fatal wounds & so forth. So long both parties declare it plausible & understand the longevity/risk of the claim, it's considered eligible for use. However, things can, of course, become debatable in attempt to reach such a goal & in doing so arguments are bound to commence. If need be, either party can have onlookers & such /dis/agree with the action until a verdict is reached. If desired, either party can have other hosts or officials of sorts represent them for a more "legitimized" (as some have called it) reasoning or "Back-up".

 ºRulesº
Like any other zone fight, rules are established as support for completing the quarrel without need for troubles to arise. Those basic rules are also adopted into host-challenges. The rules are as follows [unless agreed upon both parties (with proof) to be something otherwise]

ºNo Auto-Hittingº
Auto-Hitting is recognized as being a direct action following through without consent of the opposing party.

ºNo God-Moddingº
God-Modding has been recognized as an incorrect claim of one or more super-powers incapable of one's possession or against what one's character establishes. Several other things have been regarded God-Modding such as dodging every attack, extreme maneuvers & such. If God-Modding should occur, the opposing party will object to it & things can be negotiated from there.

Special rules

-The match is to be 1v1, though summons and the like are permitted.

-Victory for the challenger is the defeat of the host through any means necessary, and vice versa. Death in the fight does not equate to death IC.

-Skills acquired during an OOC match are not carried over IC.

-Is willing to fight either at SL or on the SL forum, the latter option most useful for fights where long periods of time may pass between postings (and also serves as a record of the fight's progress for other challengers)

- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are the preferred days for zoning. Times vary by week, so see host for details.

This is new, so pay attention: A hard time of 2 weeks for either participant to post without prior notification of RL issues. Upon such, failure to post will result in forfeit.

If you wish to make a challenge, post below stating the name of your in-game character, compliance or wish to negotiate with the above stipulations from the host, and preferred zone. After that, communication will mostly be in private messages through a necessary medium.

Any questions or concerns should be directed in PM's as to avoid cluttering unnecessarily this thread. Thanks in advance.

Negotiations via PM

Kamui is to be judge for the fight.

If the challenger agrees to the above or wishes to clarify/add something, now is the time to do it. Otherwise, post acceptance of the above.

Once that is done, Ichirou, as challenger in my fight, you may have the first entry post. No others are to be posting in this thread except for Kamui, and that is only to give a ruling if necessary.

I accept your terms and conditions.

Zone: Empty Town
Time of Day: Noon
Weather: Clear
Wind: none

Ichirou walked through the streets of the empty town, making his way towards the center of the city, where he knew the tallest building was. His long black robes making him almost blend in to the bleak age of the city, the stone of the buildings cold, dark, mossy in most places. But today way particularly dry, almost making it look as though the entire city had rusted, the quiet only broken by the sound of his foot steps as he approached, he found himself wondering just what this city was like before it had died away, all it was now was a common battleground, just like today. Midasu holstered to Ichirou's left side, and Surudoi hidden underneath the thick tied red robe around Ichirou's waist, almost resembling that of an Otonin is the way that it was tied, but Ichirou had no affiliation with the such. his combat gloves were visible on his hands, though this sleeves were still rather long, falling and dangling behind his hands concealing his arms rather well. His clothing did not resemble that of armor, but it was indeed. Though this was to be discovered later. Ichirou had finally made his way to the exact center of the city, with the tallest building before him, standing high above the 2, 3, 4, and even 5 story high buildings of the city, This particular building was a tower of 10 stories, a large square building with windows covering all four sides, almost making it seem as if the building was made with glass walls. Standing at the bottom of it, Ichirou would burst into a gust of wind as he utilized his mastery of the Kaze shunshin to make it to the top of this building, appearing once again in a gust of wind. The sun bore down hard on the roof of the building, and looking out into the distance, the Heat of the day would be visible in the distances, "This seems to be the most appropriate spot." Ichirou would say to himself as he waited, wondering if his opponent shared the same idea as he, or if he had to find some other way to come in contact with his opponent.

Eric Nara was a man of his word, in the aspect that he would never go anywhere naked again. Or at least, not in public.

Wearing his akastuki robes and hat, the noontime heat might would make this quite unbearable; he bore no hood on this particular cloak, he didn't feel that he would need it, but he did have his Blade of Shadows strapped to his back, courtesy of Uetto. How he acquired it Eric still had to ponder over, but that was besides the point.

In addition to his cloak, he bore his Jonin outfit underneath it, chainmail and flak jacket prominently featured were one to take a look underneath the cloak. The pouches were attached to the outside of this get-up for some reason, but Eric also had the standard pouches on the inside of the cloak as well. One could only guess then what the outside pockets held.

The man found himself standing atop of a building to the East of his quarry. If a right triangle could be formed between him and his foe, with the hypotenuse stretching diagnally between the two, then the base would be 20 feet, the height would be about 200 feet (10 stories is about 180ft, but varie depending on the space between the buildings) making for a hypotenuse of about 201 feet (this is not exact, as by doing the calculations you would find that you still would be off a by a foot, but creative liscence ftw).

So, he was very close to the base of the building; with it being noontime, most shadows thus would be near the base. Whether his foe caught on to this purposful entry or not would be beyond Eric, but the ruined state of the city left much of a tale. The fact that such at all building remained was, in short, a miracle.

A miracle that would not go unnoticed, for it was the tallest and most visible icon in this ruined city. Some water towers dotted the city, some worn out walls filled out the perimeter of this mile long (at the diameter if the walls form a circle around the city) along with a few other landmarks.

Eric's focus, however, was on the dot all the way at the top of the building. From here, with the naked eye, he could hardly distinguish features specifically, but he could ascertain that that was where his foe had entered. Such could have been seen from a farther distance out quite easily, and though there were many windows, the buildings down below provided a labyrinth of shadows that dared his opponent to come down.

He would watch for his opponent to make a move, his trench knives on the outside pocket of his cloak, his sword sheathed and strapped to his back on the outside portion of the cloak. The stillness provided a tempting environment to begin gathering natural energy, but the man refrained. Temptations could not be so quickly let to.

Ichirou would stand in the center of the roof on this building, scanning out onto the area, after a little time had passed and the arrival of his opponent was none, he would activate his Three Tomoe Sharingan, and scan the outer area looking for his opponent.

Finally he had found him, he was quick to get a rough estimate of the distance between the two of them, but had little to no intention of removing himself from the roof of this building.

He would act fast, five kata and the clapping of hands would activate Suiton: Suidanha, allowing him to spew forth a stream of water from his face sharp enough to cut stone, though this would be unknown until it met it's mark, which considering the distance would only take so long, but Ichirou did not intend to actually hit with this technique, no instead he wished to cause his opponent to change location. Ichirou remaining ever wary as he spewed forth the pressurized chakra water

Continued to watch his opponent, and upon seeing what appeared to be a stream of water coming down towards him, Eric leapt from the roof that he was on top of. He landed in front of the building, hearing the tiles and ceiling being torn through by the attack.

Water release was one of his opponent's natures then? That meant that he needed to be wary of falling water. His opponent did not seem too keen on leaving the tower, and Eric had no intentions on, for now, forcing him down. Reaching into his Akatsuki cloak, he pulled out a scroll marked with the Nara Clan symbol upon it.

Breaking the seal, he would open it and lay it out in front of him. A surge of chakra would then leave the scroll, this chakra having already been pre-set prior to the fight. This surge would then transform into a dark barrier, forming a prism of a length of 5 feet, a width of 5 feet, and a height of 7 feet. All in all, not very encompassing.

Kagewana: Mugen Hōyō ; Shadow Trap: Infinite Embrace

The barrier would be multi-layered, and consisting of pre-existing chakra, it would only last for about 2 turns after activation. Upon coming into contact with a foreign shadow, the first and outermost layer would bind that shadow in its place. The first layer would also have the ability to absorb chakra from anything ensnared by it. The second layer is almost like an extension of the first, transporting those trapped (yet still moving into the barrier, as would be the case with things affected by gravity) to the shadow realm.

The third and final layer was merely a barrier of solid black chakra, protruding outwards akin to the shadow sewing technique were the second layer to be dissmissed. Although the only solid defense of the barrier, it was sturdy, and highly resiliant against taijutsu, explosions, and such blunt force methods of entry.

All three layers, upon activation, drain chakra from the scroll (and thus shorten the time that the barrier may be active, bar the user does not directly supply more chakra), even more so when in use to deflect objects or persons. Additionally, the three layers are also present at the base/feet of the barrier, meaning that attacking from underground would not necessarily circumvent this defense.

Confident that his quarry, with water release anyways, did not have anything that could get past all three of his defenses, Eric becomes very still, gathering natural energy in preparation for sage mode.

Turn 1 of natural energy gathering

Ichirou would cease his jutsu as the building was torn to pieces, though his opponent no longer stood upon it,

with his Sharingan Ichirou could see the barrier his opponent had formed around him, and could only assume that this defense would serve a purpose, though Ichirou knew not quite what, recovering a tag from within his robes, he would throw it down on the ground behind him, though he would be unsure if his opponent would even witness this, however it was no matter, Ichirou would discard the tag to the roof of the building behind him, not ever turning his attention from his barrier confined opponent,

Ichirou would also recover a cigarette from within his robe, as well as a match. Lighting his cigarette and inhaling deeply as he examined his opponent. "Mokuton: Hotei no Jutsu." would leave his lips with the cloud of smoke he exhaled, causing two large hands, each around the size of a tailed beast, to emerge from the ground on either side of the building which his opponent stood upon, Ichirou's mastery of the Mokuton allowed him to create these two Hotei hands with purely his will, though creating anymore would require usage of hand seals, these large hands wrapped around the building, aiming to crush it and cusp the barrier confined opponent within the hands, if the barrier could withstand the constrictive force of the hands, it would only be for so long, at least Ichirou hoped so as he smoked his cigarette.

Edit's his previous post to: Suspending the cigarette in his mouth for a moment he would weave the required hand seals, activating the mokuton technique, removing the cigarette out of his mouth I'd state the name of the jutsu as I did in the previous post and everything else would fall in line accordingly

Now, the genius that was the barrier technique was that Eric did not usually need to constantly monitor it in order to make sure it was running smoothly. As the earlier properties state, the first and second layers would take care of this rather nicely, both absorbing chakra from the wooden constructs and transporting them into a separate dimension if that were not enough.

Since it presumably takes a significant amount of chakra to make these constructs, most of the chakra absorbed would go towards actually shifting these giant hands into the shadow dimension. Within a short time, the hands would be gone, and the barrier would still have one turn left on its counter.

Eric would continue gathering natural energy, though the shift in his surroundings caused by the Mokuton constructs would not go entirely unnoticed, especially since he was turning himself with nature. Of course, he would still focus on gathering natural energy for the sake of entering sage mode.

Turn 2 gather natural energy

Would raise an eyebrow as his hands were disposed of, and continued smoking his cigarette, deciding to ride out his opponents barrier, to see how his opponent would act once leaving the barrier. His sharingan would evolve into it's Mangekyo state as he assumed things would be getting serious soon.

Unharassed, Eric entered sage mode.

The man would, unceremoniously in some degree, sprout wings, a tail, and all manner of things that would cause him to strongely resemble a Western dragon. Which would not be a coincidence in the least bit, but one that would not be seriously elaborated on too much further, other than that he was a wind dragon much like his dragon companion Rita, though he retained his original dimensions (being about 6ft and human sized and all).

In his wind dragon form, the man had access to dramatically increased stats, along with a set of brille that he could optionally use to defend himself from dojutsu attacks. However, he would not start all of that; for he also now acquired the sensory abilities of a sage.

The main problem, unfortunately, was that his opponent had not moved down to his level. Cheeky bastard, Eric thought to himself. If he was going to insist on staying up on that tower, then something had to be done.

Stomping on the scroll, the barrier de-activated. In a whirl of handsigns, Eric would knead his chakra, take a deep breath, and then exhale a large orb of roaring fire.

Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu; Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique

Enhanced by senjutsu, the orb would head straight for the base of the large tower-like building, with the intent on completely and utterly destroying the first floor. In doing so, Eric aimed to cause a general collapse of the building, and thus force his quarry to come to earth (no pun intended). Presuming successful in at least getting the fireball to target, the fireball would also leave a sizeable crater that would hopefully aide in the collapse of the building.

His trajectory intended for it to either collapse directly downwards or away from him, though he would be prepared if his quarry attempted to change this directioning.

Due to his Sharingan, Ichirou's reaction time would be spot on, as his opponent released the barrier and wove his seals, Ichirou would clasp his hands together, recognizing immediately the jutsu in preparation, it was a jutsu he and many others used often, his counter was prepared, kneading his own chakra into the earth,

Doton: Chidōkaku, Earth Release: Moving Earth Core

Ichirou would utilize this technique to raise roughly 20 meters of square space directly in front of his "tower" up, raising the any preexsisting buildings along with it, he would raise this in time to intercept the fireball, detonating it prematurely, and extending his little game of tower defense with his opponent, he would raise the earth just high enough to intercept his opponents attack, as to keep his chakra expending at it's lowest. his eyes narrowed, focusing now more than ever on his opponent, as he prepared for the mans next move, he took into account his opponents recent usage of Senjutsu chakra, though he had time to charge it, Ichirou was unsure of how much he had taken in exactly, having had experience with Senjutsu chakra in the past, even so to the point of absorbing it into his body (though not enough to turn to stone, obviously) Ichirou was able to feel the location of sages as he was in combat with them, but he could not read exact levels of remaining Senjutsu chakra he kept all these things in mind as he focused his attention on this battle, one of if not the most important of his shinobi life.

The only problem between switching between meters and feet is that the two are not equivalent; by raising the ground in front of his tower by 20 meters (presumably where Eric is at) all he would accomplish would be raising Eric and the ground below the fireball. While this would perhaps weaken the fireball somewhat due to friction, it would not completely divert its course, nor would it actually deflect it. Though Eric did not specify how close he got to the building exactly, he was certainly within 20 meters of it, and so would his fireball.

Of course, presuming that the raised earth weakened the fireball, while it would not be great enough to destroy the tower, it would at the least damage it. Acknowledging that his opponent also possessed Doton, which was natural since Mokuton consisted of Doton and Suiton, Eric lamented that it would be a waste of senjutsu trying to continue to force his opponent down to him.

Reaching into his tools pouch, Eric would withdraw five kunai, each explosively tagged. He  would hurl these towards the base of the building, and intended on detonating them. As it was likely that his opponent would attempt to use Doton again to intercept his attack, Eric would throw all five of them at once. As a sensor while in sage mode, he would be capable of taking note of any changes in chakra, particularly of the environment, and, at least before his throw, adjust as necessary.

Would just five explosive tags finish off the building? Presuming they met their mark they would, though Eric was not exactly a demolitions expert, so he would be going for what appeared to be support structures with his throw.

* Edit/Addition I notice post-script that you specified square meters. Now, presuming that the block is 10x2 in some fashion, however high you deem it necessary to make it, then it would have to be either 10 meters forward (about 32 feet) and 2 meters wide (which would make sense considering you want to block the fireball, but it would still raise Eric as well, who is within the 32 foot extension) or 2 meters forward and 10 meters wide (which would be more wide protecting, but be considerably weaker and only succeeding in weakening the senjutsu-enhanced fireball, though that would prevent Eric from also being raised up).

Either scenario would still make sense for me to attempt to demolition the building yet still. However, if I am completely wrong and I interpreted this incorrectly, then let me know.

Ichirou had been focusing his sight on his opponent for quite some time, and for a reason just as this, as Ichirou would succeed in protecting the structural integrity of the building for the time being, he would act as his opponent moved to draw his Kunai, activating his long range Kamui technique, Ichirou would aim to remove the right knee of his opponent. He had been focusing his eyes on the man for quite some time, allowing him quick activation of the technique, which would hopefully claim the knee rather quickly, seeing as the target wasn't exceedingly large, Ichirou hoped that claiming the knee of his opponent would throw off the flow of the fight, however this probably wouldn't stop the destruction of the building at this point, it would crumble and fall forwards, Ichirou flipping onto the new "top" of the wreckage, and throwing out four tags in a square around his body, though if his opponents knee was claimed, he was unsure if he would witness the act of setting these new tags. Ichirou would stand in the center of the four tags each roughly 10 feet away from the center point (Ichirou) in an Iaido stance, his left leg back and right forward, his right hand grasping the handle of Midasu as he awaited the next move of his hopefully dismembered opponent
Title: Re: Eric Nara vs Ichirou Senju

Time was of the essence indeed, for as his opponent activated Kamui, Eric would still be in the midst of his demolitions attempt (at the withdrawing kunai stage). With sage mode, the man would pick up on the distortion of space, and adjust his throw so that his throw would block the line of sight that his opponent had on his knee. In essence, rather than taking his knee then, his foe would take only a single explosively tagged kunai before Eric let loose his throw.

This adjustment was noted to be possible and prepared for in the previous post; nonetheless, once realizing that his opponent had the likes of Kamui in his arsenal from the chakra forming the space distortion, Eric leaped backwards a few feet, likely thwarting or at least reducing the effectiveness of any adjustments that his own quarry would have made once realizing Eric's counter.

While in his leap backwards, he would perform a set of handsigns, his body seemingly vanishing into the surroundings. This appearance of integration would in fact be an advanced form of the chameleon technique, increasing its strength with senjutsu to the point in which he no longer seemed to exist, erasing even his chakra signature in a single fell swoop.

Senpō: Ōmeisaigakure no Jutsu- Sage Art: Great Chameleon Technique

Presuming this was all successful, this would prevent his opponent from seeing him or even sensing his chakra (without direct contact that is), even with the sharingan. As his final act, he would leap again from his previous location and onto an adjacent building (directly across the street from the first building he had been standing on, the street being only a meter wide, and Eric being slightly on level with the roof due to the earth style attack), in case his quarry had been crafty enough to realize how he could still attempt to use Kamui against him in this brief window of time.

As his intention had been to detonate them himself, the interruption would prevent him from immediately taking down the building. As a direct result, the building as well would still be intact, and presuming Ichirou had continued with his line of actions after his attack, then his formation would be at the very top of the tower that, for now, still stood erect.

Would find a smile upon his face at such a crafty manner of avoiding his Kamui, taking into his realm Eric's Kunai alone, leaving it's explosive tag behind, in case the man was so crafty as to try and detonate it at a later time, when it would be detrimental to Ichirou. He would refrain from spamming his Kamui on his opponent and instead as he would vanish Ichirou would hold up the snake seal,

Mokuton: Kajukai Kōrin - Wood Release: Advent of a World of Flowering Trees.

This would cause a large, dense forest to begin to sprout, starting from underneath Ichirou's feet, increasing the structural integrity of the building as it began to spread out through the zone, not entirely encumbering it, but roughly 50 feet in any direction would be infected with this large forest, trunks of trees moving like snakes as they wrapped around buildings, bursting in and out of the ground, all of them bearing many large pink flowers, which would immediately begin to release a dense yellow pollen, This pollen would spread much farther than the extent of the forest, and if inhaled by any one person, said person would be rendered unconscious, this of course meant if Ichirou himself inhaled the pollen he would rendered unconscious, but this pollen was under the control of his chakra, allowing him to spread it without it reaching his building top, he aimed to either catch his opponent with the pollen, or force him to disperse it, revealing his location if only for a moment. There were now 5 tags littering the roof of the building which Ichirou remained, his sharingan scanning the area quickly to see if his opponent would reveal himself. Though his reserves were rather large in size, Ichirou made sure to keep an eye on his chakra levels, should his opponent suddenly push him to expend extensive amounts, he had ways to restore his chakra, and made sure to keep his chakra levels in mind.

So that was the name of the game huh?

While Eric was invisible, he still had to be concerned about disturbing the environment; he did not want to take any unecessary risks. At least, this cautious thought was in mind until wood started sprouting around the tower like an infectious disease. Seeing what appeared to be flowers growing, Eric inwardly cursed.

Still in sage mode, though knowing that he had limited time to take advantage of it, he took to the air, quickly flying directly east away from the emerging forest. Using his wings, the man would take flight just above the buildings, quite literally fleeing from the scene of the crime. Though he did not want to leave his scroll behind, picking it up would expose his position, and delay him to the point that he would not be able to escape the onslaught of pollen and wood.

Presuming that the tower was at the center of the city, that meant that Eric had roughly half a mile before he got to the walls of the city; though in a ruinous state, they still stood just above the height of many of the buildings, and thus would make a suitable shelter from the wastelands beyond the city. While Eric highly doubted that he would need to go so far as those wastelands in his flight, he kept in mind the mildly more arid environment.

Anyways, what was his strategy for fleeing? He would continue fleeing until he got to the walls, and presuming he was unharassed on his way there, he would fly right over the wall and drop down behind it.

Once behind it, and thus out of sight of the large tower, he would drop behind the wall and release his technique. Since the only sign of his direction of retreat would have been the sound from the Nara flapping his wings, and the distance between himself and his quarry (and all the noise made by the creation of the forest) would have certainly "muffled" it to where it would have been difficult for Ichirou to use it to track his exact position, Eric did not expect his quarry to yet know where he was, or even what precise direction he had taken off to.

Hence, once safely out of view range without his foe adjusting position, Eric would release his camouflage technique, re-appearing. Of course, he didn't entirely take into account that his foe might be a sensor, but due to the much greater distance he put between himself and his foe, Eric reasoned that it would take time for Ichirou to take advantage of this situation.

Time that could be used to setup his counter for this game of firewall.

Ichirou would maintain his position atop the roof as his opponent tactically fled, though he would remain unaware of this. He would remain atop the roof as his pollen would spread out, like a wave it would leave its creation area and spread through the zone, acting as a strainer for the zone as Ichirou attempted to weed out his opponent, It would take roughly five minutes for the pollen to reach the outer walls of the zone, which as the pollen progressed through the zone, Ichirou was more and more inclined to the decision that his opponent had indeed left the walls of the broken city, however if he remained there or if he even was there, the pollen would still take effect if inhaled by his opponent, once it got to him that is. The "wall" of pollen that would move throughout the zone would be roughly 5 stories in height, it would take little chakra to manipulate the already existing pollen, since Ichirou took what he had previously made and just moved it, it would be less of a strain on him to weed out the zone. As he moved the pollen, he would recover from his pouch a small blue pill. Which once consumed by Ichirou would cause his chakra levels to increase, returning to him to an effective "100%" . Ichirou assumed that his opponents extensive absence meant he had something planned... he seemed much to crafty to just assume that he left the area.. Ichirou would keep his guard up, clasping his hands together

Kekkai: Tengai Hōjin - Barrier: Canopy Method Formation

Doing this would cause a barrier to form around Ichirou, which he would expand to be roughly 15 feet in any direction from him, and should someone or something come into this Mid-range barrier, Ichirou would immediately sense it and be able to react as such, he would set this up should his opponent attempt some form of surprise attack..

The pollen would slowly encroach towards Eric's position, Eric was setting his plan into motion. He did not have a significant amount of time, so he could tarry no longer in defeating his foe. If he could not defeat him with brawn, then he was going to have to beat him with brains.

Biting his thumb and drawing just a touch of blood, Eric would swiftly perform a set of handsigns before slamming his palm onto the ground.

"Kuchiyose no Jutsu; Summoning Technique!"

In a large poof of smoke, his most faithful companion would make her appearance onto the battlefield. Stretching her wings outward for a brief moment would quickly clear the smoke, her incredible 24 foot windspan. From tail to tip, she was merely 20 feet, though this was at full size. Being at full size normally was not a good idea, but while on fours, she would be just below the height of the wall. The only exposure would have been her wings, briefly, when she had let them loose.

Swiftly she retracted them as her sensory stretched out over the entirety of the zone. A very capable sensor, she swiftly pinpointed the exact location of Ichirou and his expanding cloud of pollen.

"So, it would seem as if your opponent has chosen a high perch to overview the battlefield. What is the plan?"

Eric, upon summoning RIta, returned to normal, having used up the last of his senjutsu with the previous technique.

"Stay low Rita, our opponent has the power of Kamui; now that I have given away my position, he is very likely to retaliate again and expand using ninjutsu. I would bet money on Mokuton, but you would know far better than I in that regard. I am thinking about you singing a song for him, but let us first deal with his retaliation before you start preparing for that."

Though Eric had lost his sensory abilities, he was aware that the wood release had furhter fortified the tower; the four explosively tagged kunai had most likely not been removed since he had thrown them. He would carry on with detonating them at this point, not wanting to risk them being taken by Mokuton and employed against him.

They would detonate, but so would the single tag that was left behind from the Kamui defense. It was destroy the upper half of the building, along with Eric's barrier scroll, and for the most part prove to be a minor bit of distraction, as they would be unable to serve their original purpose. Well, better than them being used against him at least.

There were two small give away's to Eric's location, the large puff of smoke, as well as the brief exposure of wings. Ichirou would conclude that his opponent had possibly summoned a dragon of sorts, if not expanded on his own dragon-like transformation. Neither of these theories had been confirmed as of the moment. But Ichirou would imagine that his opponent had effectively stepped his game up, as Ichirou could see via his sharingan a chakra mass, and the lack of Senjutsu in the area now confirmed as his opponents Last known location, Ichirou would quickly dispel his barrier, and cease the movement of his pollen, it would slowly fall down and dissipate though this would take a bit (2 turns) the pollen was not awfully far from where it had started, so it seemed as though it wouldn't pose much a threat to his opponent, unless he were to embrace it head on, but that would be a fools errand.

the detonation of the tags would be successful in causing a minor cave in to the roof, forcing Ichirou to back pedal a little as he once again formed the Snake seal, though this time for a much different technique, if not for the structural increase due to his Mokuton, the explosive tags would have no doubt taken down the building, the area where Ichirou once stood on the roof was now gone, though his 5 tags remained atop the building, just as he did. Ichirou's weaving of the Snake seal would cause a strange almost dimensional portal looking hole in the sky directly above Erics location

Doton: Otoshibuta - Earth Release: Dropping Lid.

This would create a giant, boar-shaped, earthen lid above his opponent, it would fall down upon his opponent and his possible Kuchiyose IF he had actually summoned one, Ichirou was still unsure though he assumed so, of course the reaction to this technique would no doubt confirm either of his theories, his sharingan focused on the area where his opponent was, he would make sure not to miss a second of reaction time in case his opponent would move with a speed that Ichirou did not expect..

The summoning from the beyond immediately alerted Rita to an attack from above. At firt believing it to be a space-time ninjutsu of sorts, she built up Futon chakra in preparation. However, when a large dome of sorts descended from the skies. Surrounding her hands immediately in Futon, a blue cloud of sorts formed around them in the shape of giant Futon claws. This she would extend upwards. Two large claws made of wind would be directed upwards, one to tap (relative, this force would still be great) the lid so that it would flip, and the other to grab the edge closest to Rita.

Jūha Reppū Shō;Beast Tearing Violent Palm

Using the other claw, Rita would bring the large lid down, for a moment concealing herself (as she would need to stand temporarily on twos for this) and lessening considerably an opening for a sneak Kamui attack while she temporarily exposed herself.

With a mighty throw, she hurled the lid like a disk, intent on sending it flying towards the tower. She intended on using the previously damaged base area as her target, the disk not only knocking out what remained of the tower, but also kicking up much of the pollen around the tower; this meant that if successful, she would like hurl Ichirou down to his own pollen, or at least finally knock out the large tower.

Immediately after throwing she would return to her fours; in case her plan would fail, she did not want to be exposed over the wall for any unnecessary lengths of time, for she knew that her enemy had Kamui in their arsenal. Due to the large size of the disk (inertia and stuff) and the force of the throw, it would take far more than an earthen wall to stop the disk in its tracks.

Of course, the disk was made of Doton yet still, but that would make it all the more resilient to resistance or outright destruction. Rita, using her sensory, would be able to track the disk and her opponent, ever mindful of the Mokuton on the battlefield. IF their opponent could use Mokuton, she reasoned, then truly time was of the essence.

The wind claws would fade shortly after she executed her attack.

"It appears that singing will be the only quick solution to this battle. If you can cover me while I prepare, then that would be nice."

Eric chuckled. There was no need to verbally respond, for her request was less of an option than a declaration for him. Though he was no longer in sage mode, he could still be rather formidable. Surrounding himself in Futon, a blue aura would overtake his body, soon taking on the form of a wind dragon, very similar to his sage mode self.

Jūha Reppū Shō no Yoroi; Beast Tearing Gale Palm Armor

This wind armor of sorts would not only filter his air and prevent him from falling prey to pollen, but it would also serve as a cutting barrier of sorts; it would allow him to cut through the very air around him, increasing his speed considerably. While not on the scale of Lightning Armor, this speed boost in the air would make it considerably easier for him to begin to maneuver.

Before taking off through he would toss his Blade of Shadows to the side, directly underneath Rita, in her shadow. Marked with a major shadow seal, he could manipulate the shadow of that sword as if it were his own, something the man wanted to have back here in case things were to get sticky.

Once this was done, Eric would dash up and over the wall, quickly approaching the tower area. He would take care not yet to enter the pollen infested area, for he did not want to go too far without knowing what his opponent intended to do in retaliation for his retaliation.

Ichirou's brow furrowed as his Rinnegan burst into his eyes, now really was the time to get serious, extending his hands before him he would unleash a devastating amount of force,

Shinra Tensei - Almighty Push.

This would unleash a wave of repulsive force strong enough to shatter the Doton disk, meaning it was also strong enough to rip apart the buildings in the area, though the Shinra tensei was collectively centralized into the area of which the disk, and his opponent would be coming towards him from, as he released the force he would quickly place a hand to the ground,

Kuchiyose no Jutsu - Summoning Technique

He would require no blood or hand seals to utilize this technique, due to the Animal path of the Rinnegan. A Large Scorpion now sat underneath Ichirou's feet. His own special Kuchiyose, one he had developed quite a relationship rather recently, especially considering his liking of Collaboration techniques. He would not speak to the scorpion, nor would it speak to him, they had no need to, the Scorpions body would be littered with Chakra receiving rods of the Rinnegan, allowing telepathic communication between he and it. he would wait to see how his opponent would react to his attack before considering his next plan of action, it seems things were getting rather serious..

Edit; Forgot to mention that it would take 3 posts for the cooldown of my Shinra tensei, sorry about that

Eric would be startled to see the earthen lid completely shatter. For a few moments, he would be completely dumbfounded, until it became clear that either Futon had shattered it, or the powers of the Deva Path were at work.

Since he had seen Earth and Water release at this point, then it would not be far-fetched to assume that he also had wind release. Of course, when what appeared to be a giant scorpion appeared atop of the building, it became clear that his opponent wanted to match him tit for tat.

Well, if Futon was going to be the nature of the game, then it was time to up the ante. Once within sufficient range, Eric would perform a set of handsigns. Taking a deep breath, the man would exhale Futon and a gust of wind, sending much of his wind armor along with it for increased strength. The gust of wind would turn into a raging tornado, powerfully rising and gaining in strength for the first few moments of its life.

Fūton: Kamikaze; Wind Release: Divine Wind

As Eric had started near the edge of the pollen, then the wind tornado would swiftly catch up much of the pollen, the tornado moving directly towads him would also contain the very sleeping agent that he had intended on putting Eric down with earlier. The force of the tornado would surely weaken the building, but more importantly, it would toss about the pollen high enough in the air to deal with both the scorpion and its master.

Of course, in doing this, Eric risked this being redirected back towards him with Futon, but this was not necessarily a bad thing to be concerned about. Once this was done, he would prepare for his opponent's Futon counter, having counted the number of elements (supposedly) that his opponent possessed without special enhancements.

That was her que. Normally this would include a fiery addition, but Rita began gathering her chakra to her vocals,  murmuring and testing the range of her voice in preparation for her upcoming technique.

Though this would be unknown by his opponent, Ichirou had actually fine tuned his hearing by turning his ears into mechanical contraptions capable of extending his hearing to extreme distances, he was able to do this via the Asura path, and upon hearing the slight vocal testing of his opponents Kuchiyose, he would both confirm it's position, as well as retract his ears literally into his head, dismantling them in an almost transformer like fashion, causing his to completely lose all hearing capabilities, though they weren't needed for the time being, as for the tornado that came his way, he would simply extend his hand,

Fūjutsu Kyūin - Blocking Technique Absorption Seal

This would pull the Fuuton based Tornado (as well as the pollen) towards Ichirou as a bright wall barrier formed around him, dismantling the chakra placed in the tornado as well as the chakra placed into the pollen, and absorbing it into his body, restoring his own chakra. Luckily his opponent has ceased using Senjutsu chakra some time ago, allowing Ichirou to remove the worry of having to watch how much chakra he absorbed, in fear of turning to stone. His telepathic communication with his scorpion would allow him to give it orders without having to speak, so as he absorbed the chakra from the tornado the scorpion would emit a sea of flame from it's chelicerae

Katon: Gōka Messhitsu - Fire Release: Great Fire Destruction

From the scorpions chelicerae a large sea of flames would emit, aimed directly for his Nara foe, brightening the area as well as lighting any Mokuton that rested within the path of the flames, these flames would move to engulf Eric, severly burning him should be caught within it, Katon being the direct opposition to Fuuton, Ichirou knew these attacks were the best way to approach his opponent, as he watched the area of the dragon kuchiyose, his scorpion would watch Eric (their lines of sight being connected via the rinnegan) Ichirou's hand would open and his fingers would disappear, his forearm would break up and twist around itself mechanically as a three barreled Gatling gun was formed, though Ichirou would not being to fire it just yet, he wanted to see how his opponent would react to the flames before continuing to make a move for him, things were indeed...heating up.

Edit: The attack would not be simultaneous with the absorption, the scorpion would knead its chakra as the tornado was absorbed, and release it as the absorption finished

And so it was done; Rita stood on her twos, as to prevent her voice from being obstructed by the wall, and focused in on her quarry, unaware that her primary target had tuned out his primary method of hearing. Rita waited until her opponent had finished absorbing the ninjutsu before beginning to sing her melody; it would be a lullaby of sorts, one so soothing that upon first hearing it, immediately causing most to fall asleep. Of course, this was also genjutsu, and would hypnotically affect the quarry through their sense of hearing.

Dragon Illusion: Temple of Nirvana; Ryūgen: Nehan Shōja

The only issue, then would be that her opponent had, unknowingly to her, shut off his primary form of hearing. However, he still had his scorpian; and his scorpian, an extension of himself among the senses (for if the animal path summons are similar to the Six Paths, then it shares also a sense of hearing, hence why Nagato could speak and listen through his Paths) would hear the song.

By this extension, Ichirou should also percieve the song; and in doing so, would immediately fall asleep, lest there was something else unaccounted for in his audio defense. Rita would be largely unaware of the adverse mechanism, but would continue singing. Since she could sense the chakra of her opponents, she would be able to ascertain whether she was successful or not, and thus know when to stop singing.

In the meantime, Eric had a wall of flames to deal with. Since Rita would not start singing until the absorption of the tornado. He had withdrawn his chakra blades, but to his surprise, a wall of fire greeted him instead. He would have cursed, but his body was in rapid motion; cursing the shadow of the two chakra blades, he would hurl them towards the base of the tower.

Kagemane no noroi; Shadow Manipulation Curse

Level 1, the technique would also extend Eric's shadow imitation range, allowing him to manipulate, and sense, through the shadow of these chakra blades. However, because of the distance that he was from the tower at the moment, Eric could not risk attempting to migrate to these chakra blades while this wall of fire was descending from the heavens.

Without further delay, the man would seem to be sucked into his own shadow, merging into it and re-appearing back at his sword underneath Rita.

Kage Idō; Shadow Migration

Even if Rita's attack was successful, Eric was, for now, right back to where he had started with this plan; at the walls of the town. While safe from the flames, he would be very far from taking advantage of a possibly sleeping opponent, though he would also be at a safe distance in case that plan had failed. However, the wind style attack had worn at his chakra more than the man so desired, and, if this failed, he would need to be more conservative on his chakra to prevent from wearing himself out.

The upside to a Scorpion Kuchiyose, is the fact that scorpions do not actually have ears, instead they pick up vibrations with hairs surrounding their head, notifying them whenever prey is nearby, this scorpion (being much larger in size than standard scorpions) would be able to pick up on vibrations much further out, and once Rita lifted up to her toes and began to sing her song, the scorpion would be immediately aware of her movement (however not her song), upon notifying Ichirou the scorpion would be immediately unsummoned, as Ichirou would assume that his opponent was on the attack and would form the Tiger seal and -in a manner resembling his opponent- seemingly vanish into thin air, though this was through very different means than his opponent.

Meisaigakure no Jutsu - Hiding in Camouflage Technique.

Ichirou's mastery of this Jutsu took it's level far beyond that of standard usage, he would neither have a Physical form, or detectable chakra while in this technique. Meaning that Ichirou could not be detected through standard means. This would mean that there would be no way to know if Ichirou had actually moved or not, for the time being. Ichirou had decided at this point to change his plan of attack, as their game of tug of war was a rather close one, one that would be draining on both sides if nothing was done

Rita, while singing, would be acutely aware of her opponent, to the point in which she noticed the swift de-summoning of the scorpion and the subsequent disappearance of their foe via a famaliar technique.

She would stop singing at this moment, understanding the futility in continuing to do so. Somehow, someway, her opponent had managed to avoid this attack. Either they had skill in Ototon, had sound regulating earbuds akin to Eric's, or simply had a mechanism to avoid hearing her. Even if temporary, that meant that her opponent could not actually hear what was going on in the battlefield. No doubt though that they could see, and as Rita observed via sensory, her opponent had vanished using the chameleon techinque.

Two could play that game. But as she returned to her fours, she noticed Eric had migrated underneath her, dodging the flames with what she believed to be the most obvious of his moves she had seen this fight.

"Failure. Somehow, our quarry managed to avoid succumbing to my melody. This means that, more likely than not, sound genjutsu is not going to work against him. Additionally, he is under the influence of the camouflage technique; his skill in it is noteable, to the point in which he seems to have erased his very presence. What shall our next course of action be, for we can only detect him when he disturbs the environment sufficiently enough, or if he reveals himself voluntarily?"

Terrible news indeed to hear, for Eric had hoped that his opponent would have been ensared in that attack. Rita was not styled for brute force like Pyro was; if they could not sing their quarry to sleep, and their quarry had resorted to using the chameleon technique against a visually inferior opponent, then that suggested that they too was at an impasse.

This fight had dragged on far longer than he had anticipated. His efforts at ending it had so far failed; his opponent was too defensive, and he was too offensive. He did not need to decisively defeat his opponent at this stage. Besides, if he needed to, he could wait until sunset, when the shadows would be longer, and he would be at a much greater tactical advantage on the shadow side of the tower.

"If our foe wants to play hide-and-go-seek, then let him be it. Rita, attack the building's base and disturb the shadows there when he shows himself. Go stealth in the meantime."

Eric seemed to once again be absorbed into a shadow, Rita's in particular. This time, however, rather than appearing someplace on the battlefield, he would merely enter his pocket dimension without his Blade of Shadows (leaving it behind for reasons similar to why he left it behind last time), content to be patient. His trench blade knives would have embedded themselves on the first floor of the tower, and since he could control their shadows much like he could control his own, they would serve as a secondary waypoint of sorts.

It was very rare that Rita got to use her stealth; however, since their quarry seemed so determined to drag this out, Rita would nod in compliance. As awkward as it was to speak to Eric with him still underneath her belly, it still did not remove the humor in that he was going to attempt to wait out his opponent. This strategy was not a popular one in the arsenal, but it seemed the only option for now. Her scales would rapidly seemed to change coloration, Rita utilizing the camouflage technique to practically disappear, seemingly removing her presence from the battlefield.

Chameleon Jutsu; Meisaigakure no Jutsu

Once invisible and very difficult to detect, Rita would take off into the air, ascending higher and higher as to gain altitude. The flapping of her wings and the dust from initial take-off would be the only signs that she had moved, and though her quarry could most likely hear her wingflaps, it would be hard to strike at her, especially with any chakra-based attacks.

The fight had dragged on to the point where Ichirou had familiarized himself with his opponents chakra, Ichirou was by no means a sensor, but he would be able to barely feel his opponents chakra, and upon the disappearance of Erics, Ichirou decided that a game of wait-it-out wouldn't be in his best interest, revealing the head of his body once more, still atop the building (so he'd just look like a floating head) with his Mangekyo still ready in his eyes, he would watch as he felt his opponent's Kuchiyose's chakra disappear as well, though having known the location of his opponents Kuchiyose as she had not moved, he would know where to watch as she would kick up dust with the flapping of her wings, using this as a marker of her location, Ichirou would unleash a Long-ranged "blind" Kamui, keeping it within the area she had taken off, as that was his only marker, but judging by how the dust had emitted from in a circular pattern, it had suggested direct elevation upon take off, meaning that she merely ascended upward and not taken direct flight towards Ichirou or any other general direction, however this was still only an educated guess, But Ichirou aimed to injure the Kuchiyose -possibly fatally- with this technique, he had hoped that his judgement was good enough for him to land this attack, but it was hard to say given the situation..

Had Rita made the mistake of hovering in place, she would have surely been in grave danger from her quarry. However, she did not, and even if she had, she was quite capable of sensing Ichirou's chakra, especially once he revealed himself. Having dodged the attack simply by no longer being in the general area of where she had taken off (due to her increase in altitude) she waits to signal Eric, aware that her opponent had only exposed parts of themseslves.

The power of Kamui was rather irritating, but it was difficult to fight a foe who could make themelves unsensable by standard means. Rita would fly randomly about at a height matching that of the tower, making loop and dives in order to throw her attacker off to her precise location, as the flapping of her wings (not like he could hear that anyways) would be the only audible indication of her movement. By thus not flapping during dives and such, she could throw her quarry off.

Of course, she would slowly get closer and closer to the tower, edging towards it with a careful flight plan.

With no sign of injuring his opponents dragon, Ichirou decided that he had best remain invisible as long as his opponent did, no sense giving an upperhand..he was sure they felt the same way.

His head would vanish once more from the roof, and then there would be only silence..

Eric would rest in his pocket dimension, recovering from some of the earlier strains that were put on him. Until Rita gave the signal, he had no reason to be extremely alert.

Once again her opponent had vanished. However, only their head had appeared. That was not a trait of Kamui, Rita acknowledged, and thus, there was little doubt that they had used the chameleon technique. Also, if her senses did not lie, her opponent had also stayed in the exact same spot that he had been in before.

As she drew ever nearer, she noticed the odd formation of tags on the roof (for those had not vanished). Presuming that her quarry was within that formation, Rita felt that she had figured out at least one part of the ploy. However, there was no telling what exactly those tagss were for; they were most likely barrier tags of some sort. Not wishing to trigger any traps, she avoids flying in for the kill, and instead stays out at a distance.

What to do? At this rate, the match would become stalemate. She could not reveal herself, not considering that their foe was not above using Kamui. Finally making a decision on her call, Rita flew farther away from the town, now once again at the outskirts of town at the walls.

Touching down on the exact opposite end of where they were before (hence, now on the West side) she would once again be on the other side of the city walls. This time upon touching down, she would make sure not to disturb the surroundings, as to not immediately give away her position. The wall was only a foot or so higher here, but all the same it could conceal and cover Rita from view of the tower.

It is behind this cover that she ends the chameleon technique. With her sensory, she would know immediately if this would result in her being attacked. Nonetheless, her intent was to wait until sunset, or even sundown, when shadows were more stretched, and the battlefield would be more to Eric's advantage.

After around one hour of time passing, Ichirou decided to reveal himself once again, as he would reveal himself he would not be atop the building, but soon after revealing himself he would travel up to the top of tower once again. He would assume that his opponent would sense his return to a visible state, but if not Ichirou would have to find some way to bring them out..

And so, Ichirou once again revealed himself. However, while this normally would have been a very opportune time to follow through with the plan, Rita decided otherwise. After all, their opponent could simply disappear once again after they played their talon. She would not be too anxious, for she had already waited an hour. Five more would be no problem for her.

She of course kept alert; for there was a good chance that their quarry would prove far less patient.

Time skip a few hours:

Approximate time: 18:00
Weather: Clear
Faintly visible moon: crescent

The sun was beginning to settle in the West, casting all shadows Eastward. Many of them stretched far, but the reflection from the windows of the tower made it seem less spectacular from a Nara perspective. Nonetheless, shadows were all considerably longer now than they had been at noon, and it was at this time that Rita reasoned it best to recall and restart the fight. There was roughly thirty minutes of time before complete sunset, when the world would be bathed in blue and purple hues before succumbing to the darkness of the coming night.

Rita would position her head at an angle in which she could breathe over the walls without completely exposing herself; she surely had learned from the close-call Kamui from earlier, and she had been camouflaged then. She was not camoud up now, so she took no unecessary risks in exposing any vital parts of her body to the tower directly.

Instead, she would rely on the nature of the upcoming attack and sensory to make and hit her target area. By inhaling, building up Futon, and then exhaling a large amount of Futon chakra and wind, she would send a great blast of wind up and over the wall.

However, rather than a ball of air intended to strike at her foe, Rita, continuously expelling the wind (stopping only to take in more air into her gullet) and forming it into a powerful gust. The Futon would pick up any stray particles that it could from the battlefield, particularly wood, pollen, and other manners of things into a giant spinning tornado of sorts.

Fūton: Kamikaze; Wind Release: Divine Wind

If undisturbed, this large vortex would create a massive wind/dust storm, with the intent of it slowly, but surely, rolling towards the tower. Because the sun was to the West, and the storm would be conjured up in the Western portion of the map, then the shadow it cast would be entirely towards the East; once it got up to size, it would be capable of not just covering the tower in its shadow, but also greatly extending outwards.

Even without it going to full size, the manifestation, plus the fact that by now the shadows had drawn out considerably, would signal to Eric that the time for a return had come. Quite refreshed, the man recalled his two main marker locations; at the base of the tower the two cursed chakra knives on the first floor, and on the East side of the town just outside of the city walls, his marked Blade of Shadows. As Rita had not explicitly given the previously agreed upon signal yet (for the dust storm would not form to a great enough capacity in this turn alone) Eric decided against going to the tower location.

At least for now. The man would shadow migrate behind the East walls, almost completely opposite that of Rita, to his Blade of Shadows. While he assessed, listening and using his sensory connection to the chakra blades at the base of the tower, the man would pick up his Blade of Shadows and weild it in his right hand, prepared for action.

As the time passed, Ichirou's cigarette would eventually burn up and he would think of a plan of action, he would sit, in almost a meditative stance, his hands clasped together, for the remainder of the passing time, it was not until his chakra recognition kicked in once again, feeling the re-appearing of Eric's Kuchiyose, as well as the return of Eric.. they must have come up with an attack plan.

As the large gust of wind began to make it's way for Ichirou, a Mokuton clone would climb out of Ichirou's back, also bearing his rinnegan it would stand behind him, facing Eric's general direction, as Ichirou remained facing Rita's. If anything were to get too close, Ichirou's Mokuton clone would activate the Fūjutsu Kyūin in an orb encumbering both Ichirou and his clone, to absorb any incoming chakra, and block any form of Ninjutsu based attack.. Ichirou would wait a little longer, to see what else his opponent had in store, still in a seated position. His hands clasped together as if he were praying

Rita would continue spouting the wind, the dust storm building and collecting into a massive dark cloud, enshrouding most of the West side of the battlefield in darkness.

Sheathing his sword, Eric would withdraw from his weapons pouch two otherwise non-descript kunai. What made them different was the payload attached to the end of it: one bore an explosive tag; another bore a special poison tag, the effect of which would be later described. Placing the explosive onto the ground on his left and the poison to the right, he would then perform a set of handisgns. Instantly the two kunai would receive a large multitude of duplicates, 200 hundred of each to be exact. They would be lined up all across the shadow of the wall.

Shuriken Kage Bunshin no Jutsu; Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu

With 400 tools total duplicated, a Eric's chakra level would drop to where a skilled sensor would notice, and a not so skilled sensor would lose the ability to continue sensing him. Eric would merge all of these tools into his shadow at once. As the shadow over the West side continued to grow as the sandstorm advanced, bits of pollen and debris would likely begin to reach Ichirou's position. Of course, to get as high as he was now most of these would be relatively small, but in the case of the debris, they would not be absorbed into the chakra sucker, and would threaten to get into Ichirou's eyes if he had no sort of covering for them.

The chakra blades still on the first floor were still in play, and it would be at this point that the shadow cast by the sandstorm would reach them, linking both tools to the massive shadow that blanketed much of the West side of the battlefield. It would only be a matter of time before the storm actually reached the tower that his opponent had camped for so hard and for so long atop.

Ichirou had actually been thinking for most of the time he had been kneading his chakra in this meditative stance, deciding once and for all just was he was going to do in this situation. His clone would be absorbed back into his body, restoring the chakra he had placed into it. As the bits of debris began to make there way out to Ichirou, he would extend his arms out to either side of him

Shinra Tensei - Almighty Push

Utilizing the same technique from earlier, Ichirou would emit a large repulsive force, however this time it would be on a much larger scale than before. So much larger in fact that it would destroy the entire zone, a Grand Shinra Tensei,  the technique would crush and shatter any buildings within the zone, including the building Ichirou stood upon, and would easily reach out to Rita and Eric's respective locations. This technique would take 10 turns for cooldown, but would be worth it in the end, this technique would easily disperse Rita's large cloud of dust, as well as any other incoming attacks

Rita would stop outputting Futon by this point, satisfied with the growth of the storm. However, she could senses the great build-up and release of chakra that would accompany the mass shinrai tensei. While she could defend herself from the attack, she had expended a decent amount of chakra already.

She would poof, and return to her residence for the time being.

No, what was needed was a slight change in action. Due to the orientation of the sun, the storm, and of course his foe's position, then while the Shinrai would successfully be able to divert thingss in its path, it still overlooked the actual tool of which Eric intended on using.

It was not the storm itself that was Eric's attack. It was the shadow. And from that shadow, from the shadow of the massive storm, came the hundreds of kunai and shuriken. They were not released until the moment the attack began to reach them. This timing could be done in part because as the debris of the tower would be diverted from its structure and outwards (from top to bottom), it would stretch out a shadow, eventually, at just the right moment, leading up to the entrenched knives that Eric had remote manipulation of.

So, it would be in this moment that the hundreds of kunai would leave the shadow, directed and controlled by Eric's chakra. They were then maneuvered, in this short window, to detonate in a manner that would allow the explosions, both poison and explosion, to completely surround Ichirou. Since this was within the gravity space of the Shinrai tensei, it would not be blown away, and since Ichirou was both in the air and likely having to briefly recover from his usage of such a powerful technique, it would be incredibly difficult for him to completely dodge the attack.

The poison cloud, Mushū no Dokugiri; Odourless Poison Mist would be odorless , but it would be seeable as a purple cloud. Of course, in the mix of regular smoke and the such, it would be difficult to pick apart in the thick of it. Upon inhalation, the mist would dramatically reduce the reaction time of those who inhale it; if Ichirou were to take the full dose and stay within this foul cloud for 2 turn, it would outright kill him, though being in it for just one turn would merely hamper his reaction time to the point in which it would take much longer for each of his senses to register the world around them. This was courtesy to the Greenhouse Keeper of Sunagakure during Eric's rather brief tutelage in poison.

Of course, though he had unleashed his attack, Eric was still at the walls; and he still needed to worry about being completely blown away. Due to the time spent coordinating his attack in the midst of the gravity, all Eric would have time to do would be to utilize his tailed beast for the first time ever, bringing upon him a cloak of red chakra. While it would not perfectly shield him from the attack, it would keep the initial impact, and the subsequent physics, from outright killing him, knocking him unconscious, or otherwise impaling him with debris.

As the many ninja tools were short forth from the shadows, Ichirou had shifted his Mangekyo back into his eyes, it seems that there would be no way for this fight to continue without expending excessive chakra, however after this Shinra tensei would finish, the entirety of the zone would be flat...this would no doubt shift the progression of the battle, but in what direction Ichirou did not know. The activation of his opponents Biju cloak would give away his position rather distinctively. Though Ichirou was not familiar with this particular Biju's chakra, he had experience with Biju chakra before and would be aware whenever his opponent activated it as a counter to Ichirou's shinra tensei, at least he assumed so.

As the tools would begin to move in, Ichirou would unleash his Kaimon as he utilized his Kamui technique once again, utilizing it in a different manner than the previous two times, this time he would teleport with his Kamui, he would disappear into the void as the tools closed in on him, and would reemerge roughly 10 feet in front of his opponent,  as he stepped from the void a large blue ball of chakra would materialize in the palm of his hand

Ōdama Rasengan - Big ball spiraling sphere

Assuming that Eric had taken some form of recoil from the initial hit of the Shinra Tensei, Ichirou would charge at his opponent now with this rasengan, in an attempt to -at the least- disorientate his opponent with physical damage, if not send him into a state of unconsciousness. Ichirou hoped that the speed granted by releasing the Kaimon he would allow him to cover the distance in time to hit Eric before he could completely recover, as well as add to the blunt force of impact. The devastating strength of this attack should have been enough to shake him up a little, as Ichirou was aware of the defensive capabilities of a Biju chakra cloak, as Ichirou would move to hit, his eyes would scan his opponent as well as the area around them, to make sure his reaction time was spot on in case things shifted in a bad direction from here..

As the rubble, dust, and other manner of things would fly all about, Eric would find himself blown back with considerable force. His biju cloak advancing to V2 with three tails, he would avoid serious injury even as the walls in front of him crumbled.

It would be in this moment that Eric noticed a strong chakra re-enter this surrounding vicinity. While his skills as a sensor were nothing to gawk at, the unlocking of the first gate, combined with the formation of a particularly large rasenagan, would be rather hard to miss. Eric's surprise at this opponent's ability to dodge his attack would result in a very closely-timed reaction, instead of merely shadow migrating out of danger. Since there was still much unsettled from the Deva path attack at this time, there would be more than enough general debris both in the air and on the ground for Eric to take advantage of the shadow that would still be projected, thanks to the fact that they were on the East side of the battlefield (albeit, once things settle that won't really matter).

Right before impact, he would attempt two things:

One to connect to and curse the shadow of the debris and, by extension, the shadow of his opponent. If he was successful, he would be able to manipulate his opponent's shadow from a distance later on, and use his shadow as his own. It would also help him track him, even in the upcoming thrust that the rasengan would no doubt send him in. Additionally, if any shadows were to be generated from this cursed shadow, the subsequent shadows would also be cursed (creation of a mokuton clone, the clone's shadow would still be cursed, for example).

Kagemane no noroi; Shadow Manipulation Curse

This portion would require no direct physical movement from himself to occur, and would only be evidenced by the chakra used to perform this.

The second would be to slightly shift his left shoulder and arm forward, as to try to prevent his opponent from drilling the rasengan into his chest. Granted, the biju cloak would keep him from being killed either way, but as Ichirou had earlier noted, the sheer forward momentum, combined with the nature of the rasengan itself, would still cause a significant amount of physical damage. Preferring a broken arm and a broken ribcage over unconsciousness or even death, Eric made this move in an effort of self-defense, for even if he were to curse his opponent's shadow successfully, he could not take full advantage of it if he were unconscious or dead.

Presuming all went as planned, Eric would be sent reeling backwards, bursting through whatever remnants of the wall remained, going through rubble and dust, tumbling and rolling for several meters. If unstopped that is, he would likely come to rest more than thirty meters from his original position onto his back, cloak still surrounding him.

Just before point of impact, Ichirou would disperse his Rasengan, in an attempt to place a hand upon his opponent, which -considering the situation- would most likely work, but only time could tell. While Ichirou had seen the chakra expulsion as his opponent used his shadow jutsu, Ichirou would be both uaware of the type of jutsu and would most likely get his shadow cursed, unless his opponent would change plans, Ichirou would hope that the end situation would be with him grasping the Wrist of the V2 cloaked opponent,

Once again, a very small window, for the second that the rasengan was dispersd, Eric was aware of it. Having already cursed his foe's shadow, he would be aware of any changes in lighting that occurred around them, particularly since the rasengan itself had been a relatively large light source (after all, the improved rasengan with extra chakra used would be larger than the standard rasengan).

Before, he had to use his own shadow, or the shadows around him, explicitly for migrating. However, with the split second's worth of time granted, Eric would utilize the mutual control of shadows.

However, his choices for migration were somewhat meager due to the circumstances, so as the shadow of Ichirou's hand came into contact with Eric, it would become a gateway to another world. Anticiapating that his quarry would reach to his hand going into the gate of shadows with a very rapid movement, Eric would attempt to shadow migrate Ichirou into the alternate dimension.

Kage Idō; Shadow Migration

Additionally, while he did this, he himself would also be apt to join him, so it would appear as if both individuals were being sucked into their respective shadows. Because Ichirou's shadow is attached to him, it would be incredibly difficult to keep from also migrating.

Whether Ichiriou himself was caught or not, Eric would take this opportunity to continue to the Nara pocket dimension, where, particularly if Ichirou decided not to take the trip somehow, he would be temporarily safe from immediate counter-attack.

If Ichirou come along for the ride, then he would find himself in a world of darkness; one where visibility is poor if not non-existent, and where it felt as if a shadow gracefully caressed every part of his body with the touch of a massage therapist. No doubt this darkness would disorient him, especially since the flooring was not just made of shadows, but very difficult to discern from a bottomless drop of the same coloration.

Ichiriou and Eric would enter at the same point, but be moving in different directions; since Eric's thrust forward was hardly enough to move him far, he would merely go forward a little bit, while Ichiriou would likely continue moving at a very rapid pace. Chakra sensory here would be difficult as well, as the chakra signatures of Eric, Jestar, and Alucard would be ever present, the first two being closely related enough to cause a small bit of confusion upon first inspection.

As the Shadow Migrating technique would initiate, Ichirou would be able to see the flux in chakra and realize what was happening, he would once again utilize his Kamui teleportation to escape getting caught within the shadow pocket dimension, he would reappear roughly 60 feet from where Eric had jumped into his shadow void. As he would reappear two Mokuton clones would step out of his back, and each would weave a set of hand seals as Ichirou would release the Kyūmon, which would rejuvenate his body.

Ukojizai no Jutsu - Rain Tiger at will Technique

Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu - Great Fireball Technique

The clones would initiate their jutsu, forming rain clouds in the sky with Ichirou's chakra as well as induce a rain upon the now empty zone that would allow Ichirou to sense his opponent as well as anything else with chakra that entered the rain. At the same time his second clone would shoot fire balls into the now stormy sky, causing Natural lightning to begin forming in the storm clouds above, which Ichirou would begin charging and molding with his chakra as he waited to see if his opponent would react

Home sweet home. Sort of.

Safely, for now, in the clan pocket dimension, Eric would release the tailed beast cloak, frowning all the while. Back there would have been a good time to use one of Kokuo's specialties, whatever his speciality was. He would make a mental note that for his next battle, he would need to make sure he had more of a grasp on his tailed beast's unique powers.

But this battle had yet to end. And up to this point, Ichirou had dodged and evaded practically everything that he did. But how did he manage to avoid his explosive attack? He could have sworn that he had timed it so that he would not have time to simply fly away, and with enough strength so that he could not just tank it.

Kamui was the only logical explanation at this point. As long as his opponent has Kamui, it would be practically impossible to land a direct physical attack on him. Seeing as he also had the rinnegan, it would be even moreso impossible to hit him with standard ninjutsu.

Staying atop that tower the whole time had granted his opponent the distinct advantage of having a vantage point over the entire town; Eric could hardly move freely as a result. Of course, Ichirou had also not ever pressed his advantage as much as some would have. His wood release pollen technique would have been quite the devastation had he expended the chakra to pursue Eric with it. On the other hand, his reaction would have been to use shadow imitation.

It seemed that his enemy had been mildly prepared for his line-up, while Eric himself had mostly been trying to wait for an opportunity to use his shadow imitation. Because of the height of the tower and the distance of the town, his opponent had long been out of range. But no longer.

Eric smirked. He had managed to curse his opponent's shadow, so at the least he didn't have to worry about the issue with distance anymore. However, he needed to plot his next move very carefully in order to take advantage of this. Thus, he would not rush immediately into attacking Ichirou, allowing himself a chance to  settle from the earlier fast-actions and properly plot a course of action. He had to take his opponent out in one move, leaving no room for error and no room for Kamui, first and foremost. The rinnegan would have to also be accounted for.

Of course, Eric could sense the creation of two more shadows, the shadows of the clones inheriting the curse as they sprouted from the original. In one hand, it was likely Ichirou attempting to cover his bases in case of a sneak attack.

On the other, shadows shifted akin to a light source being created and moving away. He had already seen his opponent utilize Mokuton, and in an offhanded way, firestyle. While he might would have guessed firestyle, he had to bear in mind that unless the scorpion just sprouted from his opponent's back, it was highly unlikely that it was back in play so soon.

Well of course, his opponent had the Rinnegan; it would allow him to master all five of the basic chakra natures, so him having fire style in addition to Mokuton was not much of a stretch. This would be reinforced by the idea that his opponent was likely an Uchiha at the least, rather than someone who implanted eyes without being of the clan, especially considering the mass shinrai tensei that he performed earlier in the fight.

Thunder began to rumble in the sky above him, as he charged his jutsu. His opponent hadn't revealed himself yet. Which gave him the time to charge this technique. It was safe to assume that he was formulating a plan, just as Ichirou had done. He could see his opponents chakra in his shadow, as well as his clones now that he had been given time to examine it. This caused his heart rate to increase. He could only assume this chakra tagged to his shadow was an effect of his opponents jutsu. Ichirou didn't know what else to do, other than prepare.

One of his shadow clones would step over to the other, and absorb it into itself. Gaining the remaining chakra from the clone to allow the clone to take over the forming of this jutsu, giving Ichirou the opportunity to further prepare himself for his opponents return, the jutsu would be good to release soon, which was good. As his clone would begin molding the lightning in the sky, Ichirou's skin would turn a dark red. He had released his Seimon. Increasing his speed, strength, and reaction time even further as he prepared for the arrival of his opponent. resuming the process of molding his   jutsu as he finished unleashing the Seimon. His clone would simply stand at his back, facing the other direction. Both their pairs of sharingan would scan through the area quickly, looking for the slightest sign of the return of their opponent, as well as waiting to recognize his chakra as well. At this point flashes of lightning would be occuring in the sky, granting temporary but consistent light sourcing.

Yes, indeed, Eric was plotting and scheming. And at last, he had the answer that he sought. If he could not defeat his foe by killing him, then he would have to defeat hi foe by sealing him.

As he had the ability to remotely control shadows that were not his own via the curse, even from within the pocket dimension (for how else could he return to the land of the living?), which Ichirou would soon realize, then all he needed to do at this point was to capture his foe. Though there were two shadows of which Eric had control over, he knew that only one of them belonged to the original.

No matter. Although it would take more of his chakra, he would be intent on capturing them both.

Taking into account the earlier usage of chakra, Eric would need to either succeed or work on restoring his strength after this; success, hopefully, would be the result.

By utilizing the very shadow attached to their bodies, Eric would open the gate of shadow and attempt to drag and seal them within their own shadow. Due to the overhead cloud cover and the occasional strike of lighting, at the strike, the shadow of the cloud and of the individuals would be very distinct. It would be then that the gate would open.

Noroi kagemane; Cursed Shadow Manipulation

When the lightning began to fade, the shadows would begin to merge again due to the differing source of light. It would be at this point that Eric would attempt to drag and seal his target. The speed of this sealing would be as such that not even Kamui would be fast enough to transport the entire body in time (not that it would matter, as even with Kamui one carries their shadow with them)

Fūinjutsu: Kage Naraku Rō; Sealing Technique: Shadow Hell Prison

If successful, then Ichirou would be sealed in the shadow of the cloud, appearing in the Nara realm completely bound, restrained, and effectively sealed off from action. It would practically be the end of the long, drawn out battle that the two had been waging for the past few hours.

The upside to the kamui is that if you synchronize you eyes, you can synchronize with different areas of space time, this would be exactly what Ichirou did. As he would begin to get sealed into the shadow, he would synchronize his eyes with the Nara pocket dimension, creating two separate space time barriers, one that absorbed Ichirou, and the other that spat him out in the real world once again. This would take considerably more chakra but it would also be the only means of Ichirou to successfully escape. As he did so he would activate his Rinnegan

Fūjutsu Kyūin - Blocking Technique absorption Seal

He would activate this technique around his body to immediately absorb any chakra in the vicinity, including that which of might remained in his shadow. He hadn't thought about doing this before, causing himself to curse under his breath. Luckily he had made in back in time to gather control his lightning jutsu once again. However now he would utilize his Shurado path to ascend into the sky, high enough now that he would not cast a shadow upon the ground, as he practically flew into his own clouds. However now the rain would stop, forcing Ichirou to have to focus on the battlefield to find his opponents location once he would return. Ichirou would continue to mold the lightning that he was now significantly closer to, though control the lighting via his chakra allowed him to not electrocute himself. His eyes had begun to strain now, but not to the point he had to stop using them. As whenever he had release the second gate earlier, his body -including his eyes- were rejuvenated, allowing him more time before he would become strained. Luckily he should have also absorbed some of his opponents chakra out of his shadow, but he wasn't quite sure of that yet. He recovered from inside his bad a small glass case separated into three sections, these were his chakra pills. Of which he only had two remaining. Taking from inside   the glass case the circular blue pill, he would ingest it, and wait for it's effects to take effect on him once again.

I concede, Eric is the winner
