I hope this is in the right place as it has to do with clans and is sorta a request...
Before i actually request this, I'm asking for opinons. Should the clan leader/high-rainking officers be able to delete posts that contain spoilers?
Or should we just call mods?
If i get a lot of support, Neji, please consider this
-
yeah, we've been having that problem.
a lot of times, it's just people spoiling w/o realizing it, and i think that mods probably have more important things to do...
so if higher ranks could have some semi-modlike powers for just within clan halls, i think that could save the mods some trouble, and prevent people from spoiling...
-
Yes, some people dont realize "blah blah blah" is a spoiler and when we warn them, they dont spoil that particualr thing again. But when an acad asks an question who's answer is a spoiler, some people spoil again.
That dosent change the f act that the spoiler is still there, undeleted and for everyone in the clan to see.
-
i like this idea, but it should onlly be the leader of the clan that can delete the posts, not any high ranking officers. If this is created the amount of people given power should be limited
-
Founder and 30th rank.
-
there is actually a setting to activate it, so it would not be a problem.
-
yay
-
Thanks Neji ^^
-
this is a good idea now some of my clan members don't have to get banned lol
-
My clan founder is already a mod, i guess it makes no diference ^^
-
As I investigated, I mistook the settings -__-
so it's rather hard if not impossible to put in a setting like that.
best report such posts and we take care of it. I see no other way currently as it is too entangled with the core code.
-
You can't always report it unless each moderator has the same privileges. Sometimes, the moderators that don't have clan access, aren't online. Then what would happen? Send a petition that takes god knows how long to get to? Oliver, you don't have all the time in the world to take care of things like this. Then what happens? Some people are absent for days, and then the spoiler spreads because it wasn't taken care of right away due to inability to do so.
-
moderators can be allowed to check all clan posts...
*that* is the setting I mistook.
we can agree upon this and then mods can moderate there too.
-
Not all of us can, if I'm not mistaken.
From what I know, I can only moderate Drago. And nothing ever happens there because nobody is stupid enough to do anything with three moderators in it in the first place. >>

Same here I'm only allowed to moderate <ANBU> >>

if you are moderator AND clan leader, you can make out clan tactics and secrets by that.
so I only say 2 moderators who are have NO intention of participating in a rpg-clan war or taking roles otherwise (give out info) can have the privileges.
it's a risk to roleplay. I mean, if I find out somebody gave out info abusing his status most know what reaction I'll give.
-
so... in the end, you'll tell us which 2 mods are going to have that power right?
But it still doesnt help...
These two mods cannot be online the whole time, and in the cases of big clans like SK spoilers travel fast -_-
-
it can influence much if all your internal conversations might read by a moderator that has an opposing clan, right?
I mean, even if you try not to use the knowledge, it will influence you.
-
Add me to the list Neji, I sometimes run into this problem in the mornings in the U.S.

I already have that priveledge by the way >> I think I'm the only one right now? o.O

*raises his hand* I do as well. *counts on his toes* That's 2, right?

I can only moderate in my clan halls. No surprise there. :P
I may be a clan leader but there's no way I would abuse of such a privilege.
