Title: Sakura's Love Letters
Post by: Gyu~ru~ru on April 17, 2007, 04:57:20 PM: The love letters that Sakura wrote for Sasuke has been stolen by the naughty Konohamaru and scattered all over the Naruto world. Help Sakura find those letters before someone reads them!

To trigger the event, you need to heal at Sakura's frequently. Once she gets to know you better, she would ask for the favor.

The letters can be found almost anywhere, in the forest, in towns, even during travels. There are a total of 999 love letters out there. Gotta find them all!

Things that you might get for finding her letters,
1) Free complete heal.
2) A gem if you are lucky.
3) Gain 1 permanent HP.
4) Gain some charm.
5) Gain 1 temporary attack or defense (rare and only happens once a DK).
6) Free mount heal (restore mount's rounds/ mount's HP).
7) Gain 1 level in medical ninjutsu (even if it's not your current specialty).
8) Lose some HP (for reading her letter).

Things that might happen when looking for the letters,
1) Sees a piece of paper, pick it up, lose HP (it happens to be an exploding tag), BAKA~ (lose 1 charm, Konohamaru's prank), just an ordinary piece of paper (nothing), YES! (got it).
2) A dog/ a kid/ Konohamaru ran off with the letter, give chase, you will have to go through a quick game of decision making (turn left or turn right etc). If you cornered the dog, you will have to fight it (easy battle). If you cornered the kid, he returns the letter. If you cornered Konohamaru, you are in for a fight (wouldn't be easy).
3) The HEDGEHOG has it! (you know where to look don't you?)
4) A drunkard at the bar has it! (give him ale until his drops or he will hit you if you try to take it from him, lose charm and HP)
5) Hide & seek (find where Konohamaru is hiding & take that letter from him, wall? under a rock? on a tree? in the pond? as a statue?).
6) A Sakura fanboy has it and he ain't giving it back (let's kick the crap out of this guy).
7) Your mount picked it up somewhere (too bad if your mount can't sniff or is too huge to see it).

This can be an open race. The person who finds the most out of the 999 letters wins something special.

I believe that it wouldn't be an individual event where every player has to find 999 letters, I'm sure it'd be widespread over the game. The idea is not extreme and very simple, so I see no problem with implementing it.

I believe the special thing should be a free date with Sakura... Imagine the charm you would gain. :twisted:

well, it would take some effort to program all the outcomes (and test them)

the idea is good and can be done. Also the "most letters" idea is good, not only people with many turns have a chance, but also people who stay in the game to roleplay.

:smt040 i like events that don't take turns, i have lots to do for my clan, and not many turns.

You gain a random reward from Sakura everytime you find a letter. Like the four leaf clover, there will be only 999 letters to be found in the server. You can check the remaining number of missing letters by visiting Sakura.

Event ends when all 999 letters have been found and the player who found the most letters wins the special prize.

1 letter ->one reward
5 letters next (random) reward
10 -same as above-
15 -same as above-
30 -same as above-
50 -same as above-
75 -same as above-
...
and maybe from 990 - 999 you get everytime a reward for every letter you find

You have mistaken something. You wouldn't be collecting the 999 letters alone. You will be racing against other players to see who can find the most letters before the grand total from the whole server reaches 999.

Example: Neji => 100 letters, Baluski => 120, Xaos => 200, Lebis => 150, Kamui => 320, Gyururu => 109. Grand total => 999 (all letters have been found)

Kamui found 320/999, more than anybody else. So he wins the special prize. Something like that. The event will continue without time limit until all 999 letters are found.

To make it more interesting, you will not be able to find out who has the most letters at the moment until the result is out. You will only be able to check how many letters still remain scattered out there by visiting Sakura in the forest.

Neji = Harsh... maybe if a girl gets all the letters and has to go on a date with Neji he will have to be unevil for those hours on the date. It will be no holds barred!

If you trigger the event through a forest fight, players with a lot of turns or can chain a lot of flowless fights will be the ones who get the event way before other weaker players, making it unfair.

...like when it is finished because someone won the event is active but then when someone comes across it it won´t be active anymore till it starts again

For example, people with less turns like Haruhi (my alt) only see the curse seal level 2 event once a week or two. As for Gyururu, she gets the event almost once a day. Even thou she fails most of the time >_>

i got 100 FF's out of 3 turns today.... imagine what someone who is alot stronger than me can do....... and imagine what KB will be able to do with his billion turns -_-
hell get all 999 letters on the first game day it gets released

If I was making it to my liking I would have supported Mithras's suggestion. Giving myself & those who are above Hokage a head start at the event.
