Village Square / Re: Max Power for Characters?
« on: May 12, 2015, 11:58:05 AM »
But here's a fun question. Would you even be able to use Lightning Release Chakra Mode, if you're already enshrouded by another chakra-mode-like ability? (Ex. Nine Tails Chakra Mode, Susanoo, Susanoo Sage Mode, etc.) I don't think people would really like to have to deal with a Uchiha's Susanoo under the influence of it.

I can't think of any evidence to disprove this so most will go on that and say that it can be done.

Also all charka mode techs are using your chakra. So it stands to say they can be mixed together and when you master a beast it's safe to say you can mix your chakra with theirs. Nothing here to disprove you cannot.

Should we allow it? Well we can't disallow it. ^_^

This topic is interesting, but will go nowhere.
Who needs Gates when I can just go Lightning Six Paths Susanoo Sage Mode?

You mean my dream of an Asura Path Susanoo is still alive? lol

I'm not against creativity or strong characters, it is what makes this fun. But i'm just wondering if the folks of SL have drawn any lines. Most of us could Hulk throw mountains at villages if we so wanted too by rearranging or adding abilities/techniques, doesn't necessarily mean should. Especially with the leaps and bounds of power the series made since the ninja war and beyond like throwing down meteorites or pushing the moon towards Earth.

Village Square / Max Power for Characters?
« on: May 10, 2015, 04:17:43 PM »
As the title says, is there a max limit for character power? I was reading a similar thread in terms of KG limitations and it got me thinking. I don't know if it is an unspoken rule, but what is to stop a person from using multiple power multipliers to the extreme? Lets say we have a Nine Tails Jinchuriki, who has unlocked Nine Tails Chakra Mode,  has Perfect Sage Mode, Lightning Release Armor, using the 7th or 8th Gate, Curse Seal/Seven Star,  plus they are a Jashinist etc etc.

Is this all okay? Or is there some limiter?

Maybe we can split it up? Through RP you can only gain two full resets,  while anymore requires KG to fill the blank? As for Sage Mode and Rinnegan? I think it is best to keep them separate. Even 10 Tails Jinchuriki  had a weakness to Senjutsu. To allow either user to have both is tantamount to making a neigh invincible character. Not to mention the sub abilities they may have to compound it.

The rain gave clarity to Madara's already superb sensory abilities, "linking" them as he stated before. Not only could he perceive movement, but detect any changes or build up in chakra from his standard senses. All Madaras present would feel what could be described as a focusing of chakra (the handful of chakra left on the flak jacket) then an immediate drop (the use of  Kamui), which would be their main concern.

Not only would their senses tell them of the apparent trick, but at the same time the beast would bite into the jacket, the Zetsu that accompanies his summons would outright mentally cry,"Hes disappeared!"

Knowing the rain blocked off vision, it would be useless to focus thier gaze on the direction of the explosion, so it was something they paid no mind to. Unfortunately for Rusaku, "Only if at this point was Madara still standing there.." would not be the case as Madara has been constantly on the move, never once stopping. In fact, Zetsu and the explosion would prompt him to activate the jutsu he had been preparing.

In conjunction with his Tailed Beast, Madara would simultaneously wrap himself in a dual layer of whispy red chakra and lightning chakra, but not for an assault. The lightning chakra would electrically stimulate his nervous system, speeding up neural synapses to react faster, and push his physical prowess to the absolute limit, granting him astronomical speed as his Susanoo vanishes. Activating on the technique's highest level, Madara's hair would stand on end, and increase his abilities like his defense. In conjunction with the chakra from his Initial Jinchuriki Form, which also increases Madara's speed and strength, Madara's speed would most likely be too much for even a Sage Mode shunshin to exceed. Simply running, Madara would probably unknowingly evade the attempt to attack his brain.

The moment the underground Zetsu signals them, the second one would chime in, talking too the two Wood Clones and the original. A quick mental cue would cause the bunshin to perform a handseal in unison. Manipulating a large portion of Madara's chakra on the ground from the rain as well as all of their own, they would transform the battlefield into a massive barrier. A fuinjutsu would appear on the ground wherever the rain touches. Emitting out a continuous blinding light (which can blind and possibly stun his opponent), the fuinjutsu barrier would act as a binding curse. If successful, the barrier would bind those within, as well as those that the light touches to be bound in same Space-Time dimension, rendering his foe's Kamui inert if it works.

This would result in Rusaku being forced to solidify, allowing the Uchiha to detect him. Body Flickering behind him with his eyes closed (from knowing of the light beforehand), the combined speed of Lightning Release Chakra Mode and his Initial Jinchuriki Form (which
Chomei would slowly add more chakra, ascending Madara to eventually Version 1 and beyond if deemed necessary), Madara would attempt to utilize Rikudō no Jutsu in order to quickly use Human Path to quickly extract Rusaku's soul as well as obtain what knowledge he may hold.

Without being distracted in the slightest, the Uchiha would not lose focus. But instead Rusaku's actions would cause him to react to protect himself the moment his chakra took a drop, having prepared for a possible attack. Kamui may be able to "phase" through most things, but light would be one of the few exceptions as it wouldn't be a solid object. With Madara's extreme speed together with Rusaku's Kamui possibly disabled, the light most likely blinding and stunning him, and the rain possibly pinning him in place, it would be hard if not impossible to not be subject to the ninja's assault.

I don't think technology is really a problem in Naruto, its just not something we are use to seeing. Kishimoto stated that Naruto's time period isn't really that different from ours, just a little bit in the past. Hes okay with advanced technology, just as long as it isn't war related.

Aside from that, I think Naruto as a kid had all the conveniences of 1980s style technology, but its simply not the style nor the focus of the story.

I am kind of surprised this wasn't resolved with a judge ruling. Was Kamui left out of all of this? If so and you guys do restart, might want to include your judge in your communications so that he/she can make a ruling on a matter if it gets to this point.

Kamui ruled in my favor according to his post. So techically I already won.

Hold your horses, he hasn't heard both sides yet.

That excuse isn't reasonable when Kamui told you that you had to repost, and the fact you told me that yourself, "I know I'm going to have to repost.." Then you change your mind at the last minute telling me you aren't going to repost afterall..

The way I see it is I accepted to ignore that part of the post, but that doesn't mean that before then the responsibility of giving a repost wasn't on you. You said on the 24th just to ignore it, but what if I had said no? You were already told by me and the judge to repost, you simply chose not too. I didn't accept that until the 25th, so in my mind (and I hope within the minds of those deciding) that I still posted within the time limit.

But now that you want to adduce the rules on me, I will do so as well and point out what you said and what the judge decided were in accordance until you changed your mind on the day, which according to the rules, should have resulted in your loss.

I find it funny Rusaku didn't say anything until after Madara posted again?

I messaged him on the 24th telling him to post. Don't assume anything when your abviously misinformed.

Edit: He was well aware of the time frame, and when he posted late I brought it to the attention of the judge, and his, immedetly.

And you were messaged on the 17th of the repost you were suppose to do, violating the rules first. I don't have a problem with you getting the notification the day afterward, just as I did. But if you are going to invoke the ruling okay. Going by the rules, you already broke them.

Unfortunately for Madara, his Amaterasu smokescreen would not work as well as he hoped. Due to the nature of the Sannin’s attack, it was not just one portal that had opened, it was two. (This is what causes the portal to be twice as fast as stated in his last post). So, when the spark of Amaterasu would form, it would be absorbed by the first portal of Kamui but the second would continue unfazed by the counter still aiming to warp away the desired location on Madara’s body. Though, by this point the attack would have begun to come to fruition potentially killing Madara where he stood despite his efforts.

It has been agreed upon that the above portion of the post is voided.

Thanks to the Uchiha both keeping tabs on the shinobi and simultaneously moving away from him, there was good distance between him and the encroaching kunai knives. Quickly forming handseals, the Uchiha would rapidly form his cells into vegetation, generating 2 Moku Bunshins that would expel from his body. Without hesitation, one of the clones would react to the weapons, however it would seem at first glace they were all engulfed by the violent blast of Raiton. Through the use of Deva Path, the Wood Clone would protect them all by manipulating repulsive forces, it would create an effective shielding against the attack via Shinra Tensei.

The second bunshin, knowing the intentions of the first, would perform the handseals for a technique as the gravity wall protected them, finishing moments afterward. Through the use of Animal Path, the doppelganger would utilize Zōfuku Kuchiyose no Jutsu, summoning one of his giant multiple headed dogs (about the size of a massive toad from Mount Myobokuzan) to attempt to bite into and tears apart Rusaku as the clone would summon it beneath the ground below. Controlling the beast, Madara would know exactly where to hunt for the shinobi as the ground would quickly absorb his sensing rain.

The original would continue on moving, channeling chakra throughout his body as if he were preparing for a jutsu.

Village Square / Re: Do you read bios when you RP?

Yup. Things can get pretty awkward when you think you're having a ninja RP and the person your RPing with reveals themselves to be a vampire neko from outer space. Reading bios is key.

Naruto / Re: Boruto: Naruto the Movie trailer

Well, this is Kishi expanding the Narutoverse. And his name is really Bolt. It's just that the Japanese have a strange way of pronouncing things. But, we won't know what he's like until later.

True, I just feel personally the Narutoverse doesn't need expansion. For me, it all begins and ends with the dream of a young blonde haired ninja. He fought for his beliefs, he grew, made comrades, changed the world (kinda). The Curse of Hatred was snuffed out, the big bads from primordial past defeated, and he ended up with a woman who has always loved him. (But then again, this is all coming from a guy who thinks DBZ should have ended with Frieza or Cell)

I understand how it is a reference to his cousin Neji, but there was nothing else to call him without the spelling of "ruto" at the end? I doubt the Japanese language lacks synonyms for words. To me, it seems like shameless fame leaching (like how the last GT movie was about Goku Jr, not actually Goku). I guess I expected different since Kishimoto made Minato and Naruto very distinct people.

Gross. These kids (or more specifically Boruto) appear once and already garner enough fame to get their/his own movie? I was already turned off from the character when we found him vandalizing the Hokage faces and found out his actual name was BorUTO. If I hear that he also sucks at jutsu, has little to no friends, says "Believe it", and only eats ramen, i'm not even going to give this movie a chance.

Bijuu Arena / Re: Madara vs Rusaku

The vicious and quick Space-Time barrier would be effective against most, and if not for bloodline gift, the Uchiha would most certainly be dead where he stood. His potent optics allow his opponent's tenketsu to be as clear as day to him, helping him see the high concentration of chakra in them to expect a Mangekyo technique.

A rather dirty tactic he would attempt himself would end up saving him more than expected. As soon as the technqiue is executed, another would happen almost in unison. While to a normal onlooker, it would appear as nothing would have happened, but in reality Madara had utilized Amaterasu from his Eternal Mangekyo in order to blind Rusaku, instead it would act as a makeshift smokescreen, blocking vision from the Uchiha before the barrier engulfs him, taking in the Amaterasu instead.

Immediately afterwards, Madara would seemingly dissappear to the naked eye. It wouldn't escape him at how close he was to death, as Kamui was the only explaination for the quick dissapearance of his jutsu from this realm as well as Rusaku's eyes being completely unharmed. The Uchiha would use his incredible speed to run around as he keeps tabs on Rusaku and forms a set of handseals,
causing clouds to form and a dense rain to fall.

This jutsu would work in similar manner to Ukojizai no Jutsu as the rain would be connected to Madara's senses, but it would also act as a powerful adhesive in reaction to foreign chakra. Stronger than concrete, in moments the rain threatens to pin down Rusaku so tight that trying to move through it would feel attempting to swim through a sea of solid asphalt, causing him to fall onto the spikes below. This would make the use of handseals virtually impossible. If successful in performing the jutsu, the dense rain would bring visibility to zero. Knowing Kamui extensively, Madara would be prepared for it come the next time it is used.

A blue spectral entity would form around him as he ran, creating an enormous skeleton like being. This would be one of the early stages of his Susanoo. He would also take notice of the chakra from the weapons before the rain begins.

Spam / Re: Could a Ninja Live off Their Own Jutsu?
« on: April 12, 2015, 11:07:26 PM »
Technically the hozuki would be mist. Water turns into gas once it becomes hot enough, it doesn't turn into nothingness and cease to exist. Could the hozuki then re-condense themselves afterwards or are they forever mixed in with the air? Reminds me of Yakan's smoke transformation.

If the pressure was high enough in the surrounding area and their mist becomes water again would they 'revive'?

I say its possible depending on how they are turned to mist. Suigetsu proved that sufficient force can knock out a person using Suika no Jutsu, reverting them to a jelly like state. So if hit hard enough to the point the user would turn into mist, I say their minds would be too damaged to revert back, meaning death.
