All That Is Bijuu / Re: 5-tails IC hunt Setup (Eric v Sabumaru)
« on: September 22, 2017, 08:00:59 AM »
Okay, this sounds fine to me.
Just thinking off the cuff: Sabu has been after Kokuo and assumed Eric was it's host after getting his info (regardless of the truth) so he deliberately set up some sort of thing in Mountains Graveyard to lure Eric there, maybe via Dart or something, planning to kill him off once he showed up.
Idk what would motivate Eric to go there, maybe some sort of deal/purchase or something.

Dart could have extended an offer for training in Boil Release (as that's what Kokuō officially, canonically uses) to Eric so he can better understand the nature and how it functions as well as build up a tolerance while the beast is a summoning. However, because of Dart's reclusiveness in teaching Boil Release, that would be why he wants to meet at the secluded Graveyard. This training could be in exchange for Eric teaching Dart about the Nara abilities so both clan's abilities can be kept secretive and no innocent bystanders are injured because the Boil Release techs are indiscriminate.

Then Sabu springs the trap. Dart apologizes for the treachery but he owes Sabu a life debt and a Terumī always pays his debts.

Maybe?

Council / Re: Memories

I believe that it would be a very bad idea for the bijū to have any recollection of its previous containers. It just spells for meta-gaming disaster, especially if the two competing souls do not like each other. It's better to just let them be blank slate each time they are sealed.

Like Eric pointed out, name and affliction can tell a lot about an individual and what could be expected of their abilities. I know for one, that I like to keep myself as quiet and private as possible. The world doesn't need to know what I can and cannot do, ICcly, until I choose to reveal my abilities.

It's just a cheap, easy way out to gain information without doing actual IC work.

Can you take away my affiliation? I am not really affiliated with anyone.

Done.

There is a violation of rules here...and as such, a DQ is in order. At this point, if it is required to go to Council vote, Jay loses the beast.

I think Shadow meant biju rules, not zone rules, when he was talking about retro in stuff 600-1.

Again, where does it say that the community can't get involved once the fight has started? Is that something I'm just not aware of?

The judge has the final say in all decisions right? Community has no reason to get involved because everything supposed to be settled by the judge or, if need be, the Council. Other than giving opinions, why would the Community need to step in? The judge's call on whether Jay has done anything that would give you the win.

Council / Re: Where does the Sub fit in the 2:5 ratio?
« on: August 17, 2017, 06:11:13 AM »
So are you saying that a rule change to 3:4 instead of 2:5, or is the proposal to get rid of the ratio system altogether?

No changes. It's simply a suspension until more interest is stated in joining the council by non-bijū retainers.

Council / Re: Where does the Sub fit in the 2:5 ratio?

With the lack of actual interest in serving on the Council, then I believe that turning away someone because (s)he possess a bijū is silly.

The ratio was created when there were multiple parties in wanting a chair and to maintain that jincs couldn't stack the rules in their favor. With the current members and potential bijū owners, I know that those individuals won't try to favor themselves when it comes to a fair ruling or an amendment to the current rules.

TL;DR
Suspend the ratio clause as we need people to actually participate in the council. Only reinstate it when more interest and more bijū owners show interest.

Council / Re: Council Election Volunteers, 3rd Cohort
« on: August 14, 2017, 06:35:54 AM »
I like the idea that my constant unavailablity won't cost anyone for once, but I'll still be able to help out. Saiteki can be my stand in.
Eric I'll send you my email as well.

So in other words I'd like the council seat, if all are okay with that. Don't want to step on any toes.

I'm good with it, senpai.

I only really offered to get you to 7. If you've got enough without me, don't worry about voting.

That is similar to what Saburamu said, so between the two of you, availability vs interest, which of you two are more available for the task? Not that I think it will be particularly arduous, but it's when the going is easy and we get complacent that something crazy random pops up.
I'm super available, but less super interested. I would do it help, but...
What if you give it to Sabu, and simply put me as a stand-in? That way, in the event of need, if one of the council can't be reached, you've got a back up.

I second this motion.

Okay fine. I'll do it. I'll be the only female council member. But I get the longest hat.

This is a fair demand.

Council / Re: What to do with Isobu 3 Tails - Council
« on: July 18, 2017, 08:22:20 AM »
Yes. Due to a more favorable trade-off I said I would relinquish interest in the 3 tails.

With this being said, then I agree that Saiteki gets Isobu.

Originally, I was going to go with Ray since he did voice interest in obtaining the Sanbi, hence his fabrication of the strip thread. Meaning, he was the "first challenger" despite it not being an "official" challenge.

I've been discussing this with Ray, and I think, making much more progress than anything here. I will let you know what we come up with.

Ray has withdrawn his request for Isobu.

I would like for him to make this statement himself before I state my opinion on the matter.
I love you too, Dart.

And I love you! But, to be on the Council, one has to remain unbiased and make decisions based upon hard facts and proof.

Council / Re: Strip 3 Tails for Inactivity Council Vote
« on: July 14, 2017, 07:11:48 AM »
The majority wins, even with the other two unaccounted votes from Keito and Nekomaru. Isobu is stripped and if Ray was the challenger for it previously, he takes ownership of it. If not, well another thread will be made to decide the fate of Isobu.

According to the official challenge thread, there were no active challengers for the Sanbi. As such, it should to the council to decide on its fate..
