Council / Re: Bijuu Council Question.

So the council has 2, possibly 3 openings and four nominations. So I suggest keeping the application process open till about Friday, or Sunday. Start a vote the next day that will last a week and replace our members and see to some topics that have been back ordered.

This sound good to everyone?

Yeah, but we have back-ordered topics?

We have Kamui's proposal of biju fight tampering, and if no community consensus, Tomi's two questions. So the council has at least one, potentially three items on back order.

... But if you guys want these to be included in the actual rules, once the biju council is up and running, and enough people want them explicably stated, the community can forward it to the council.

Could just have a vote and get it into the rules sooner. Why would this be forwarded to the Council?

In the event that the community can't get a consensus on what exactly they want. Although yes, if a vote is had and people want something overwhelmingly, it need not go anywhere else. I just don't usually have faith in SL people agreeing >>

I think Athos is right, the wiki claims the third Kazekage learned his iron style by watching a previous Jinch (who obviously wasn't Gaara) and the wiki claims that really old dude could use sand, although that doesn't have a footnote, so take that one with a grain of salt.

As for Tomi's initial claim, and just my opinion on the matter and not authority as a council member

1. Passive abilities:
You get to keep them, although I do recall a thread where people complained and wanted a limit on this. As the complaint was people didn't want a user to gain access to multiple elements. Like Mastering the Ichibi, Yonbi, and Gobi and claiming sand release, Lava, and Steam. There was no official rule, but if you want to be extra safe, I'd say pick between Yoton and Ink, but not both. But you do you, just a suggestion.

2. Normally in the past, if one had full mastery of the beast when they got it back they could claim full mastery.

But if you guys want these to be included in the actual rules, once the biju council is up and running, and enough people want them explicably stated, the community can forward it to the council.

Village Square / Re: The Mystery of Fuinjutsu vs Fuinjutsu
« on: February 21, 2017, 10:51:04 PM »
A long time ago, fuinjutsu was introduced into the naruto universe, and a little time after that introduction, it was stated that even seals unbalance odd seals and vice versa if layered on top of each other. As the series went on, however, this "system" seemed to just be thrown entirely out the window, leading to the question of whether this is still even relevent or not.

In SL, fuinjutsu users regularly encounter challenges when it comes to application, restraint, and even absorption of their fuinjutsu. However, surely the fuinjutsu circles have had to deal with fuinjutsu vs fuinjutsu before at some point or another.

So how does fuinjutsu vs fuinjutsu work at this stage in the series and SL realm, where countering counters is literally half the battle?

Depends, it's very situational. Depends on the fuinjutsu used, and the counter used. Say in our example, Orochimaru used the five elements seal on Jiraiya. That's not an instakill tech, thus Jiraiya could use the unsealing tech.

If it's a seal that kills or is something instant, that is different. If it is instant, one could argue it should be void as it's unavoidable or must be used in a way via trickery, like putting said seal under a carpet or something. If they have even like a second to escape, they could maybe employ a seal to counter act it, but they would have to have IC info of said seal before the fight and know what it does and how to counter. Even then their success would depend on what seal they used.

So I don't think this is really a yes or no answer, it's very situational just like anything else.

Uhh, slightly off topic but wasn't the 8 tails also showed having two version shrouds or is Trev just saying except for Kurama he personally thinks there shouldn't be a V2 for the sake of keeping things scaled down?

No! Every biju can do the basic red cloak, which comes in version 1 and version 2. However, people with the Kyuubi can go Nine Tails Chakra Mode and Kurama Mode which is very different. V2 is nice is all, but it doesn't make you faster than lightning chakra mode for example, etc. People on SL have custom chakra

Like
http://narutoprofile.wikia.com/wiki/Two-Tails_Chakra_Mode

and I think one was made for the Hachibi and Rokubi too? I was just saying I think this ability to do a biju chakra mode and not just a biju cloak should be reserved for the jinch of the 9 tails only. Cause that's what we see in the canon, makes the 9 tails more valuable on SL, etc. But it's just my opinion however, nothing more. If you want to discuss it more, open another topic so one of the mods don't smack us around for going off topic >.>

« on: February 20, 2017, 05:37:34 AM »
My internet is currently down, so I'm using my phone for this.

This is a gross misunderstanding of just exactly how Tenseigan is applied in combat when it comes to SL.  Tenseogan chalra mode is the only technique granted by Tenseigan of any worth after SL nerfed it into the ground. Unlike Sage mode and Rinnegan, I am unable to mix either gates, or Elemental chakra modes with my armor, because it was noted in the thread that it would be unfair,. So right off the bat I am unable to access a significant number of stat boosts that someone like Bocc has access too. If Tenseigan chakra mode is to be considered equal to sage mode, then the rules need to change in regard to what Resets I'm allowed to claim, and what chakra modes I'm allowed to stack.

What Athos has refused to even mention were the two very reasonable compromises that I gave  in order to appease Bocc who is obviously running the show here. First was lowering the boost to 3x while gaining access to the other techniques that were voided or nerfed, and the second was a 4.5x boost and the techniques remained voided and nerfed as originally ruled. I am aware that having a larger multiplier is unfair, but unlike Tenseigan, Sage mode and Rinnegan don't get perminantly femoved from your body if you sustain enough damage. It wasn't even a fatal attack that was received, and the eyes were removed from him. Now that seems like an outrageous weakness that neither of the other options have, so once again why should my thing be so significantly weaker when you actually compare them and how they mix with other techniques in the naruto world. Seems unfair.

1. Don't call Athos Bocc. I don't even care if it was somehow truth, you and others either have proof or you don't. Don't start a mudslinging contest, we just got through with one, and I doubt Ace is going to continue to tolerate it. Just warning you since you've been got for a bit, but tone it down or you'll get slammed by the popo >.>

2. Multipliers are still silly >>

3. Your first compromise seems nearly identical to the one Athos proposed. Except he disputes an unerfed Golden Wheel Reincarnation. Which means this is the only thing holding this topic up. Blowing up the whole moon is too much even in SL terms. My suggested compromise is move it from planet busting to mountain busting/ village. That seems fair, and I don't think Athos would disagree with mountain busting, as even Madara's Susanoo could do that.

4. That's a silly weakness for Tenseigan to have, you shouldn't be able to lose it like it. So if it's strengths are rapidly nerfed, I would get rid of that weakness personally.

5. I would personally ban all enhanced biju cloaks if it were up to me. But I would argue Kurama mode is different in one has to earn the 9 tails, which is normally held by someone strong, then has to survive challenges long enough to master the beast. Lot of effort, rather than just claiming the Tensiegan or Rinnegan or Sage Mode.

So Tenseigan :
All five elements
Deva path
Chakra mode
If you all really must insist on a dang multiplier, 3
Nerfed jutsu (Golden Wheel to be discussed by you two)
Can use the Tenseigan eyes like Byakugan, meaning all Hyuugan techs are still in play.

That's a whole heck of a lot, especially if it's supposed to equal Sage Mode or Rinnegan. So you're sacrificing stacking stuff up, but you're gaining pretty much a mix of Rinnegan, Sage Mode, and a biju cloak. That's more than fair.

Why not just void the Tensaigan in exchange for some of your stuff being voided? How much could he really void of yours that would make as big of a difference? And just to be sure:

Sage mode is 3x multiplier, chakra cloaks are, what, 3x as well? What are the multiplier comparisons?

I'd be fine with that since he's made it clear he wants to void several things of mine but I doubt he'll go for it.

That depends what you mean, do you mean like Lightning Chakra Mode or a Bijuu Cloak? Those don't have numbers (other than the Nine Tails Chakra Modes).

The stuff that does have a multiplier attached, what are those multipliers?

No they don't because multipliers are an SL invention and completely arbitrary. The x3 thing for Sage Mode is just something some users decided to say and it stuck. Not everyone uses multipliers and some multipliers even differ between players.

Which is why I believe abc logic works better

Tenseigan = Rinnegan = Sage Mode in terms of power

Lightning mode = biju cloak (the basic red one)

Biju chakra mode pretty much over everything.

If people really wanted, we could compile a list of what beats what, etc. But I think that's unnecessary. But Athos saying those techs don't have a specific number, but eric saying it does, but does not know said number is why multipliers should not be used in such a manner. Too much variance and unnecessary confusion.

So unless a thread list every single multiplier and it's exactness, just use abc logic. Most people know what enhancement is better than others.

Just put Tenseigan on par with Sage mode/ Rinnegan instead of on par with Senjutsu enhanced Kurama mode and the problem is solved in my opinion

Just my old man complaint for you youngster >.>

That's reasonably fair to me.

If anything, I'd just maybe make like one slight concession and say instead of truth seeking balls, they are just random chakra orbs. I know some Tenseigan Techs are channeled through the orbs, so I'd allow basic generic orbs so they can still do that, but not make it truth seeking balls which are basically impervious to everything but Kamui.

But yeah, no unnerfed Golden Wheel. Blowing up the moon is a bit much and gets us into early DBZ territory.

But that's my solution to your problem. Ryoji can come here and explain his side if he wants, else you too either come along to your own agreement or let other opinions pour in. Good luck to you both!!

Not sure if this should be here or the bijuu board. It's only about Tenseigan and if it is fair but it's related to the Tenseigan Rusaku wants to use in my Bijuu defense against him. So move the topic if need be.

This is what Rusaku wants to use

Tenseigan:
All 5 nature transformations
Tenseigan Chakra armor
Deva path
All previously mentioned jutsu on a much smaller scale, and without truth seeking balls.

http://forum.shinobilegends.com/index.php/topic,8444.msg221038.html

Now that sounded fine to me I just asked him to explain the capabilities of the Tenseigan chakra mode to make sure he wasn't hiding anything there.

He proceeds to tell me that it is as strong as Senjutsu enhanced Kyuubi Chakra Mode, which is a x6 multiplier, plus those other abilities that are listed.

My response to that was having an ability that is literally just Sage Mode, twice as strong, and with other added abilities doesn't seem fair at all. You can enhance yourself and your jutsu with the Tenseigan shroud so the only trade off is you lose Frog Kata and Natural Energy Sensing, which doesn't matter since no Sage Mode user can hit you with their kata taijutsu if you're three times faster than them.

His response was that it is fair for reasons regarding the source material that I don't understand and he refuses to explain because, "I don't have to explain my abilities weaknesses to you." Which seems an awfully convenient thing to be able to say to anyone saying your abilities are god mod.

Considering the quality of judge decisions I've been getting lately and since we don't have a judge yet I wanted to get a community decision on it. Hopefully Rusaku will reveal his secret reason why his ability is fair and all will become clear but until then I want to get a group call on it.

I mean when I briefly fought Rus and he used it, it didn't seem too unfair.

http://forum.shinobilegends.com/index.php/topic,8491.0.html

So I think if he used it similar to that, it shouldn't be an issue. Although I understand wanting everything clearly laid out.

If I had to say, I would say Tenseigan = Sage Mode = Rinnegan. Tenseigan in it's current nerfed format should be equal to the two other great powers.

So in my ideal world I would say Tenseigan would be this:
All 5 natures
Deva path stuff
few unique jutsu, like 3 I think the wiki list?
and the armor.

I would say the Rinnegan grants the user really specific techniques, Sage Mode grants all your jutsu boosts, and Tenseigan grants a body mode. So like a Sage Mode user and Tenseigan user both used fire release: fireball ninjutsu, the sage mode users would win out. But like in a fist fight, or tanking damage, Tensiegan would win out.

I also wish people would stop using multiplies, it's just getting silly and arbitrary and is causing issues. Either a tech is better, worse, or equal to something. No need to quantify everything and create issues. Like stacking stuff and inserting random number multipler.

So the real question is how strong should the armor be? I personally ban custom biju mode cloaks, as I believe only the 9 tails Jinch should get that. But because I'm that elisted about it, I don't think someone with Tenseigan should just have access to a power only one person has just cause they claimed a tech.

So to me Tenseigan mode > Lightning Armor, but under 9-tails chakra mode, maybe under Kurama Mode max

I mean I know the cannon puts it on par with like Kurama mode or hold it's own to Six Paths Sage Mode, but that shouldn't be allowed.

Just my two cents anyway.

Ya I ain't a mod or anything, but if you two could kindly settle down and stop talking to each other, that would be great. Speaking as someone in the middle, who enjoys both of you...

1. Your insults having nothing to do with this thread
2. One of you is being sexist, the other is homophobic. And yes it was semi homophobic, regardless of your orientation Camel. I have mental illnesses, doesn't mean I'm exempt if I suddenly make a bad stigma joke about it. So we get it, you two don't like each other, just leave each other alone.
3. @Kamui, this type of behavior is why people would question if you banned someone. A mod doesn't drag people out in the open like this and threaten they can ban them. You stay stoic, quiet, private, and do your job when it calls for it, not when you need it to. You may think people are being unfair to you, and in certain respects they are, but some of the criticism isn't unfounded. Take a breather man, enjoy your family that is coming to visit.
4. @Athos Quit while your ahead man. It ain't solely on you, but your behavior lately hasn't been...grand >> You like have pretty much every biju, so if your goal on this site is to get them, stop now. We both know you've been on a thin line for awhile now, don't give any reason for Kamui, or rather more likely Ace to boot you and destroy your progress. So unless you don't care about throwing everything away, just stop.

But yeah, cut it out, stop talking to each other, stop saying mean things that could hurt others, just stop, this stopped being funny awhile ago.

Council / Re: Scripted Fights aka Fixing Bijuu Matches

Yeah you just dated yourself super hard xD the thing is they always do that. There's always a group and they always try and take everyone out. Usually what happens is someone takes out grunt one and grunt two and then gets eliminated by the leader who wins, or in a surprise upset all three allies get knocked out. Nobody whines about it because that's the nature of the beast.

I also think you're really overestimating our coordination here. We haven't talked to each other about posts or anything we basically just know we want to take Kamui out and that we're not going to argue each others posts. That's about it.

Organically anytime Athos and Jay were in a fight like this they'd take out everyone else so they could have a fight with each other.

What if there was a scenario where it was a 4 man FFA and no one is teaming up with each other. Persons A, B, C, D. A is fighting B and C is fighting D. However at the end of every one of his turns D turns and takes a pot shot at A and tries to hit him in his blindspot. Because why not? He needs to eliminate every one. A gets salty and claims D is collaborating with B. He asks for a judge decision to get him dq'd for teaming up. What do we do? Does a mod check their pm's to see if they're colluding? Does a judge character control D into attacking B an equal number of times? It's nonsense. It's just opening up another avenue for whining. There's no way to objectively make that call because for all we know they actually are texting each other and collaborating on the DL.

Honestly I'm surprised we're actually considering making an incredibly ill-defined rule about character controlling people's actions in a Battle Royale scenario because Kamui got salty.

It would cause many more problems than it ever fixes because it would be so easy to abuse. So just make it only 1v1's.

Like I said, if it were up to only me. This rule would be in place, and it would probably be extremely hard to ever use. Player D couldn't accuse players A-C just on a hunch. They would need proof, else they have nothing. They would need evidence. Basically what I'm saying here, is this rule would be in place, but about the only way it could ever be used is if one of the parties involved felt guilty and opened up the mail bag. It wouldn't just be he said/ she said. They either have proof of coordination, or they don't. But like I said, this is only my opinion, no other council member has spoken, so don't say the community is considering it. We'd have to vote on the issue no matter what, and the others may completely disagree with me.

But yeah, I think I know what the vote will entail, so I'm done responding. Save your energy Athos for when the vote actually happens if you dislike it. But I think this can be locked now, but I'm done until it comes up on the ballot.

So again I ask, what if your characters have IC relationships and are allies? We're going to make a rule to character control people into killing their allies before enemies because people get sad if they get teamed up on?

I think there is a difference between something like that happening organically, versus a team of people consulting and coordinating attacks against a very specific target via pm. Plus if it's a free for all, you should be trying to kill everyone. Not saying you have to go out of your way to kill Jay for instance. But in free for all's there shouldn't be high-level coordination between the parties involved. Else you're gonna get into the possibility of people putting their friends in said battle, to favor their side and element their opponents. Since you like wrestling, it would prevent a faction like say Evolution from entering the rumble, eliminating everyone, then letting Triple-H take them out. Excuse the outdated faction, haven't watched in so long >>

Of course, this is just my opinion and one out of 7 that will be used, so don't debate me too hard, cause what I say won't be law, just one vote. And this rule would only ever come into play if someone had the mails to prove it like Kamui did. So this rule would just be something on the books to look up if ever needed, but would be extremely hard for someone to prove.

But we can save all counter arguments for the actual voting thread that will come when the council is ok. Right now I just want to condense what the council will eventually be voting on, that is all.

@Kamui
I'll speak will Ace, and possibly Neji. This doesn't involve rp, this is a behavior issue and an issue of his site lacking authority to prevent abusive behavior. In my ideal scenario, you wouldn't have to touch anything behavioral, someone else will, so no complaints can come your way. If you're worried, don't do anything. We don't need any more issues. No is the time for fixing.

Also, I think a lot of SL's problems would be fixed if we had a strict disciplinary mod. I remember in the golden days of SL, it wasn't uncommon to get a mute for even being a little rude. Everyone is rude here cause there are no consequences. That would stop if mutes and bans were handed out more. Instead, everyone gets like 15+ warnings. In the old days, half of these cheap shot insults would have you muted like instantly. That's my two cents  anyway >>

If I was any more strict, then you would have those that will say that I abusing my moderator powers. Sad, isn't it? I can't even do my job without some sort of constructive criticism and bad rapport from the individual that I am punishing. I don't mind the criticism, but man I can't stand it when that person does something wrong and I am the bad guy for correcting that behavior.

Quote
But I'll attempt to help things. What are you asking for Kamui? Everyone else stop talking to each other and laying insults. As Eric said, if you want this to be a vote. Dart's already out, I think I saw Shadow say he was done with biju, so do you want Athos dq'd? Mazo given to Jay by default? Just publicly acknowledge what happened was not appropriate? Make a rule to stop this in the future?

As much as Jay would ecstatic to win by default, it will only result in him giving it away to Athos that way he can attempt to do what Bochhi failed to do. No, no, no. I want this to be implemented into a rule that will curb this sort of behavior from occurring.

If that's the case Kamui, then I would hope you of all people could help for advocating a separate disciplinary mod. If you can't do it because of prexisting relationships, and Ace is busy, then SL is just running wild. That is highly irregular on most forum sites. So I don't know how anyone expects this site to work when the prisoners are running the prison. Cause I'd wager a fair amount of money, a majority of the people on this site, would shut up and triple check what they post on the forum if they faced like a week long mute and lost their biju/ fights. I bet a lot of people would pull a 180. So if you can't do it because people think you're tainted, and Ace is busy...well Neji or Ace need to find someone or nothing will change.

Anyway, on the more related note. So you're asking the council to implement a rule that would stop this sort of teaming up behavior? That's a fair and reasonable request, would probably get passed. Although if such a rule were put in place, it wouldn't have any effect on the current fight. So if you're asking for that, this thread can be locked and such a thing will be voted on as soon as the council is reconstructed. So unless I misunderstand the request, this is a wrap for now, and everyone should be focusing on voting on Neko/ trying to turn up some other candidates. As we would still be three short, two if Athos's gets in.

I mean what Athos and Dart did wasn't really in the spirit of what the fight was supposed to be. However, there is no rule against it, and I'm fairly sure when this was discussed I noted the possibility of people teaming up. I figured it was going to happen and it did. But everyone wanted the FFA and you got what you wanted.

As for the other unrelated topic, SL is dying cause we're roleplaying off a manga that hasn't been super popular (In North America) for like a decade, and the main series is over. Help the remnants of the council help you. That goes for everyone, what do you want to see from SL/ the biju. I'm usually fairly nice, but only when you guys actually want real change will something be done. There are many solutions to the issues SL faces, it's not hard to be nice, I promise. Deep down you all want change, if not, just go hit the delete button, cause bickering ain't getting it done for a lot of you.

Anyway, I'll attempt to get the council restructured somewhat. So if this thread has a specific goal, state it plainly as Eric suggest and the council will vote. If not, just please lock it.
