So limit time instead of post amounts, or do both?

Well you know... writing takes time, Bocch. And I was doing it from my tablet.

I like this idea.

So...

No genjutsu
Kekkei genkai's not limited
What about the posting amount. I know it can be hard to restrict someone when they have a specific writing style. look at my last post in the kiri battle. took nearly twenty-seven posts I think.

It is easy to abuse, but often underused, yes....

I like using genjutsu, and when people are playing, I often call them out on subsequent reactions they as a character cannot know about..... It is hard for people to play in an illusion because most don't like the idea. You all remember Akimori? She used to play solid genjutsu taijutsu in her character, and was one of the best rpers because she knew how to play them...

I can see your point. SO limiting one's kekkei Genkai, and unique skills would be quite damaging to the effects, and just ninjutsu otherwise cancels out other's ability to use separate aspects...

Hm. So what if we include all kekkei genkai as long as it doesn't include genjutsu, or dojutsu?

I didn't know they had contests in pokemon games. I stopped playing them after the originals and silver... then played red rescue team, but nevermind that.

Basically I wanted to flex the idea that people constantly have to use their ninjutsu and what not for battle. Plus it would give a new twist on the ideology of RP, and make people think in different ways. It was merely an idea. People seem quite negative about out....

Bocchiere... I was merely keeping the being who did it for me secret as he requested so.... You spoke to Kay, and learned from her that it was true. Should the being, whom has been avidly participating in a lot of things lately, decide they would like to reveal something so be it. Then I will speak to you about it, does that sound fair?

Furthermore, I had not wished to cause any issues with one another....if i offended you by my lack of knowledge, then i apologize, I meant merely to ask after specifics, because I lack knowledge in those aspects, and wished to further my own skills beyond the original point. I am not saying you aren't correct.in fact I was agreeing with most of your posts, just offering other insight. Again I apologize if I have offended anyone.

As for the posting thing? I was asking if it was a recent doing, that is all... Not if it was thousands of light years into the past.

All right, so a while back, Purple and I had tried to come up with a new type of contest that might have been interesting... I never polled it to the public because i ended up busy, and things kid of fell through the cracks and all... But now!!! Well I think it might be an interesting way to bring about a new type of RP to the game. Furthermore, I think it will flex everyone's RP muscles, so to speak...Let me know, nicely I hope, what ya'll think.

Everything in yellow below were questions posed by Purple, that I thought a good idea to get everyone's imput on...

Okay. So the contest Idea is simple really:

Contest Title: To be determined.

Contest Description: This is a simple contest, aimed to enhance the skills of the competitors through a new aspect. Rather than fighting it out in brute force, this contest employs the artistic and beauty aspect of Ninjutsu. All contestants will have the opportunity to display their favorite ninjutsu, but give it an artistic twist, aimed to awe the judges and spectators.

Contest Rules:

Round 1:
- Contestants each can use up to fifteen ninjutsu.
- Contestants are allowed fifteen posts to display their power and their turn (rough idea... post amounts can be increased or decreased).
15 posts is can be a lot, depending on how many people show interest in the contest, because with 15 full posts, that could take a LONG while for the judges to read. Maybe make the posts capped to a little lower?
- Contestants are allowed any jutsu of any affinity.
- No forbidden jutsu, or Kekkei Genkai allowed.
- No jutsu above the current level of the shinobi (to be determined by judges if a jutsu breaks this rule).

Will all the people be judged on the same level or will there be different tiers? Such as acads + genin, chuunin + jounin, etc.?

Round 2:
- Contestants can use up to twelve ninjutsu.
- Contestants are allowed twelve posts to display their power and their turn (Rough idea.... post amounts can be increased or decreased.)
- Contestants can only choose two affinities to focus on, and jutsu from those two.
- Contestants must submit their jutsu names beforehand to one of the judges (administrative information so we can classify and place the members in an order that makes the jutsu non-redundant).
I feel like a majority of people will at least be using suiton as one of their affinities. I don't know if redundancy would really matter though, because for the contestants to be sending in all their information prior, just so we can come up with an order might just be unnecessary and would extend the time, making people wait longer. I think randomly placing them in an order would be fine enough.
- Contestants must use at least one A, one B, one C, and one D rank ninjutsu.
- No forbidden Jutsu or Kekkei Genkai allowed.
- No jutsu above the current level of the shinobi (to be determined by judges if a jutsu breaks this rule).

Round 3:
- Contestants can use up to eight ninjutsu.
- Contestants are allowed nine posts to display their power and their turn (Rough idea... post amounts can be increased or decreased).
- Contestants must choose two affinities to focus on. All jutsu must come from these affinities.
- Contestants must submit their jutsu names beforehand to one of the judges (administrative information so we can classify and place the members in an order that makes the jutsu non-redundant).
- Contestants are allowed only one S and one A rank ninjutsu.
- Contestants must use at least one A, one B, one C, and one D rank ninjutsu.
- No forbidden Jutsu or Kekkei Genkai allowed.
- No jutsu above the current level of the shinobi (to be determined by judges if a jutsu breaks this rule).

All rounds:
- Jutsu must be known well. No custom jutsu unless the jutsu is well recognized in the community by many people.
How would you determine if something is "recognized by the community" as a whole? This could potentially be pretty limiting, but on the other hand, it may be hard to judge what is outside of a character's rank.
- Breaking any of the rules can result in consequences, or immediate disqualification.

Consequences of breaking the rules:
1 rule - an immediate deduction of points to be decided by the judges.
2 rules - a penalization of points, and an automatic ending of the current display.
3 rules - Automatic expulsion and disqualification of the contestant from the contest.

What point system are we going to be using, and by what scale? Is it going to be on a scale of 1 - 10? Will we be judging based off of specific categories? What I am essentially seeing in my head is something similar to the Olympics in the sense that people will be doing jutsu displays and we'll be judging based off of stuff like creativity, visual effect, and overall complexity or something.

Contest Prizes:

Third Place - 50 DP and CMM
Second Place: 100 DP and CMM
First Place: 200 DP, CMM, and a new jutsu to be taught by one of the judges (This jutsu to be determined by affinities and judges).

These prizes can be upped to meet the needs of the personnel who are participating. This was originally only clannwide, but I am definitely extending it to be SL wide.

What do you think?

I honestly think this entire situation is getting out of hand...

I do agree with Isa, though. There really do need to be rules for jashinism, just like the Edo Tensei... Everybody is picking up this jashinism thing as a major cop out so they do't have to think beyond the realm of "oh I got hit? Oh well i'll just keep swinging..." I mean, I've battled those who claim that genjutsu doesn't affect a jashinist merely because one can simply eliminate the need for the brain in a fight and have the body focus on instinct... It's pure BS. Role-play is supposed to be a challenge when facing superior opponents. With the Edo Tensei, and Jashinism in respect one could be utterly invincible if they say that just because they are a jashinist the time for there ability to heal with the Edo Tensei Rules is negated, do you know what I mean?

Furthermore, can Haz still be a jashinist? I believe he said he morphed into another body, or something along those rides. Without sending that body through the same procedures, (which I assume he did not and if he did, can anyone second it?) how can he claim this new body has the powers of his original jashinism host? Etc, etc.

I am inclined to agree with Bocc about the Mazo. Nowhere in the manga, the show, or on the wiki pages does it dictate that it is only at a certain level of power because of the bijuu sealed within it.

I will however offer a different argument. In the manga, when it is first summoned it is only allowed one technique. When Nagato summons it it pierces into his back, and absorbs his chakra into it's being to cast out the evil dragon of soul stealing doom.... At least that is how it both looks, and reads. So would it be possible to then claim that perhaps Hazama would have to feed his chakra into the statue to pull such a technique? Or more so, it basically completely incapacitated Nagato the one time he summoned the statue himself... Would it not do the same to Haz? I honestly don't completely understand the nuances of the use of the Gedo Mazo. I mean there have to be restrictions on it's use, yes? We can't have everyone and their mother claiming they can use the statue can we? Should it be like the Jinchuriki of SL? One person, or two people at a time claim the power of the statue? I mean with it played like this, in this way it seems that this technique should have some restrictions placed on it, much like the way they have restricted the Edo Tensei, and the Jinchuriki, and so on.

Just food for thought on that matter.

I also have to agree with the assessment of the bone armor issue...

Hazama may be protected, but imagine it this way. Put a pot over your head... smack the pot with a spoon. What happens? Instantly you're person becomes a center for the vibrations to ground themselves and ease out. This causes excessive disorientation of the person. Now encase one's own body in it, and strike it with a bullet of decent caliber size... say a 7.62 round? I fire these often in training, and teaching people riffle fire. I've seen a caliber round like this mow through solid steal, and punch through the other side from a distance of 40 yards. At 70 yards it punched through the first layer, and struck the back of the steel form, compacting itself within the item, and casing it to tip over... I have never tried a point blank range assault however, I assume the devastation is excessive. Even a .45 caliber round at 30 yards could cause major damage by doing the same thin a 7.62 round does at 70 yards. So if Hazama took this strike, at point blank range the bone armor would literally shatter at the front, and his body would then excise a massive hole right through his internal organs, and blow through the other side. We'd be playing with a guy who literally was blown to bits. Say the bone armor stands though? God forbid we let the poor man die this early in the game. I'm having too much fun with this.

The concussive force alone would flatten the man inside his own armor. Being blown back at such high speeds would involuntarily cause his internal organs to hemorrhage, and a painful internal bleeding to start. Back to the spoon and pot thing. Say are placed in a suspended pot and someone smacks it with a massive spoon. You're entire body would vibrate at to such an extent from a hit it would cause an instant massive headache, extreme disorientation and vomiting... Nausea to extreme volumes. I mean there is a lot of issues with this post, and how he deals with it. That is all i'm saying. And nowhere do we read that a Jashinist magically and instantly heals, and doesn't feel the effects of the attacks.

I mean I can understand that he continues to move regardless of assault on him, but does that mean he's basically a giant tank and takes no damage ever? I think not! We never did see this type of attack on Hidan in the anime... so we cannot claim that he never feels the effects. Can one say if he was caught in a genjutsu that his person would still continue to fight while his mind was trapped in another person's technique?

These are things that I also believe need to be resolved...

Has been drunk on many an occasion, and blames Shima for not joining him in a drink. He also doesn't drink often... and to hell with treating a body better! Damn it you only get one... or fifty depending on who you are! better to use them up to the fullest.

Blame yourself raijin for not getting me drunk.

I blame Asadi for not getting me drunk sometimes too... That would be an interesting escapade let me tell you...

I can understand dart's argument, however. Can you claim to see the clouds in a bank of hundreds of clouds already existent?

I mean it would be hard to see one cloud forming in a stratosphere already brimming to overfull with other clouds, right? And if the cloud comes together based on chakra, couldn't the chakra leak out to the other clouds nearby? So it would be hard as hell to dictate one cloud made for the assault when compared to a thousand others, unless you plan to literally completely clear the skies....

But as I stated in Kirigakure, I agree with the akatski.... An unnatural cloud forming tends to draw attention in this fantastical world of powers, so it seems quite genuine to me to dictate the sight of the clouds, or the chakra therein...

I see no problem with a post that dictates they move to eliminate a threat before it becomes a true threat....

However, this whole thing with the Gedo Mazo.... Can someone post here the wikia page for that so we can understand all the ramifications of the arguments to come out of that assault, and system? Also, and subsequent posts explaining the attack made by dear Hazama would be nice as well... Because I am honestly confused by the dictates that litter the kirigakure battlefield...
