So I was thinking. What if when someone applied for a clan, they had to actually fill out an application?
1. Why would you like to join this clan?
2. What's your previous clan?
3. What are you opinions about your previous clan?
4. What do you hope for in this clan?
5. Do you plan on staying long?
And once this is filled out, it will come attached in the "Clan App: Academy Student X" mail.
I think this would be a great idea as many leaders complain that people join for no reason and are suspicious of the applicant's history. Then leaders and officers actually have something to read over before just accepting a member. (Could help prevent the destroyers that everyone hates)
Also, I'm not really sure if the coding can be done or not. Oo So I'll wait for Neji to see.

Lets say I was a clan destroyer joining your clan to destroy it.
Now do you think I would say on the application I am going to destroy your clan?
Won't I say things that will make you accept my application?
There can be an option for clans to have the application on or off right?

I know that. But if people just write" because I'm bored" for the reason, you know that there's another reason. You have a basic background of someone without actually having to do any searching.
And I think there should be an option to have it on or off.

Some people really join a clan just because they're bored :D
Lately, there have been alot of feature requests for clans, and I think it's time for some new features like this :P So neji view this xD

Wouldn't pick 1 member clans, but 20 member clans and higher.. I'd just try them out even if it's for 5 minutes^^

Then you could say you're trying out new clans. That's a reason. And concering your 5 minute stay, you would probably include that.

most people will just lie. maybe their should an option to fill out the application, so it wouldn't be necessary. Or clans have the option to choose which method they want to use.

The leader of the clan has an option to have to choose to switch the application to be filled out or not.

Why would it be a set form of questions? Shouldn't the leader be able to make the questions themselves? I know I'd have much more important questions that need answering:
1) What would you rather have on a sandwich, mayo or mustard, turkey or chicken, sweet peppers or hot?
2) Hats are fun, stylish, and keep your head warm. With this in mind, would you rather feast upon popcorn or nachos during a movie?
3) You are walking down a hallway and see a statue of a sabertooth tiger flying through the heavens with santa at it's back, do you take a left or a right it the at the half bathroom?
Just an example.

That seems like a better idea to go with it.
So, the leader can make a set number of questions (or non at all) which must be filled out when an applicant applies for the clan.

there is a clan waiting room... why not use it?
I fail to see why somebody would need to fill out *at best an individual form per clan(!)* to get in.
That's the job of the people *in* the clan to greet the newbies, and tell them how it works... Oo

When you fill out the application for a clan, its sends a message about the clan anyway.
Couldnt the clan leaders just make a questionare out of that?
Then rank them based on their answers?

A clan can put their questions in their clan description. =)
