Title: Antidote
Post by: ShinobiIceSlayer on August 07, 2010, 06:56:47 AM
I don't know if this should be a Forge item, or just a normal item, but I'd love it.

What the 'Antidote' would do would be what an Antidote does, cures poison. We all get hit with the annoying Poison buff, so how cool would it be to have an item to get rid of it. It makes sense to have an Antidote so I thought I'd post it!
If it is a forge item, the ingredients could be anything, maybe an apple and something, or there could be items created to be used in it, such as Medicine or something.

Ooh, yes. Maybe make it a veggie mix or something? Apples, cabbage, lemons... other foods in the game that I'm forgetting...

What I'd like to know, is why the ANBU healer's can't even get rid of the poison debuff, when they claim to have "Completely healed you" - Sounds kind of pointless no?

Perhaps, in response to the whole ANBU fallacy, the responsive text should go along the lines like: You have been healed, as opposed to You have been completely healed!

It's just plain misleading, and a mental thorn-in-the-rear. <_<**

I doth agree, a poison removal should be about in some form.

The "Complete healing" part of this thread, leads me to side with Twitch. How are you completely healed, if you are sick/poisoned? Those kinds of doctors get sued <_<

I believe it'd be easier to modify the healer, than create an antidote item, but only the code-masters would know for sure.

Ice; Is this doable?

I'd need to specify buffs ... I don't have a "is-a-poison"-flag yet.

That goes same as with "damage types" I would like to have -.-

Well, couldn't you add a key to the buff Array "enemybuff" or something, set to true when an AI or something gives a debuff such as poision?
Then maybe add a feature to the healer, it loops through the players buffs, then for each from the forest, adds an option to remove it? Possibly the array key could actually hold a price variable that could be a multiplier based in rounds left or level?
