...Not cool.
Literally, sagging is not cool at all.
It just makes people look like idiots. I mean, really, why would anyone want to see your shorts under your jeans, or your underwear? The people with belts are even worse. It shows that they are literally holding their jeans in what they've deemed to be an optimal showing area for their butt.
-
... You've thought a bit too much about this issue
-
It's a serious problem in today's society.
But in reality, I can argue about pretty much anything. Well, not argue. Complain is more like it.
-
I was waiting for you to spell it backwards actually...
-
I can read you know.
-
But can you read backwards?
-
Yes.
-
I should have wonked.
-
Clearly.
-
Or at least Translucently.
-
Opaquely.
-
So I finally watched the Doctor Who Christmas special today, I recorded it the other day, just didn't get around to watching it.
-
Saw it 4 hours before it came out in the US.
I don't have BBC.
-
I didn't think it was anything amazing, though I was happy he went home for Christmas at the end. No inlaws jokes though.
-
I was ecstatic.
-
They showed the last two Christmas special over the weekend too, I like A Christmas Carol.
-
My favorite.
-
It was so trippy, all the back and forth in time, changing the poor dudes past, so awesome.
-
Mhmmm. Every year.
-
I'm really liking Matt Smith now, it was weird watching the next doctor, cause it was back to David Tennent.
-
Good.
-
Can't wait for next week, showing the revival every week night from the beginning!!!
-
Good.
-
I'm unsure about the Ninth Doctor though.
-
I'm wondering if they'll ever get rid of Amy and Rory. Either that, or these guys will be the 11th Doctor's version of Jamie.
-
I hate the 9th.
He's good for what his character is, but I just don't like him in general.
-
BLAHZEE!

I'm wondering if they'll ever get rid of Amy and Rory. Either that, or these guys will be the 11th Doctor's version of Jamie.
I like Amy and Rory... at least Amy... >_>
-
But still, Ice, what was the point of saying "bye" to the pair, if they keep coming back? Granted, River Song seems to be Moffat's answer to Russel T. Davies never getting rid of Rose.
-
They're gone for good after season 7.
They're an important part of Smith's character.
Smith is possibly going to be around for a season 8. He loves the role, and said he was going to continue until they were ready to get a new Doctor. The three seasons, with the exception being 9th, is more of an unspoken tradition, and in no way indicative of anything written in how the series must go.
-
I think they need to do something amazing for the next Doctor, like a chick or something.
Plus plus season 7 will be Smith's third season,
Ninth: 1
Tenth: 2-4
Eleven: 5-
-
 locked
-
Exactly.
I really hope he keeps going though.
But, I'm dying to see who they choose as the next Doctor, while I'm hoping they don't make a movie.
-
Yep, I do like young Smith now.
And the movie could be alright... probably the best way to the time war, though an arc could work to, drag it out. I just don't think it would fit in the normal series.
-
They already did the Time War.
-
Not really.
-
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_War_%28Doctor_Who%29#Conclusion
It.
Happened.
Already.
They'd need to bring back 9, and I doubt he's going to be the star.
-
The war has been frequently mentioned and alluded to since the series return to television in 2005, but the events and progression have never been fully explained. Short comments in various episodes act as hints, but the war was not thoroughly talked about until the 2007 series finale. The two-part special The End of Time (2009) provided further information.
It was talked about, not actually happened, ie. shown yet.
-
Regardless of being shown or not, it has happened.
Two Doctors ago.
-
But that's the talk of what the movie would be about, actually showing it.
-
NO.
NO MOVIE
-
Frankly I kind of agree, movies of series tend to be lame. Its a big gamble is they do it.
-
if*
And they were talking about letting Yates near it.
The guy who did Harry Potter.
I repeat my "NO. NO MOVIE".

-
Oh, thank you Flying Spaghetti Monster.
-
Exactly.
-
Hey, they learned after the last time they made a Doctor Who movie.
-
I haven't even seen any of the old Doctor Who stuff... once I've gotten through the all the revival, maybe I'll look at it.
-
My friend has been telling me The Five Doctors quotes a lot today.
-
I prefer The Three Doctors, personally.
-
I love this movie.
-
I'm a time Traveller, like the Doctor, as I'm in 2012, while you are in 2011.
-
Only a few hours? Superman was able to travel a full day in the past! You fail.
-
Only a few hours? PLEASE! I'm still almost a day ahead of you, depending where you are, rough 17 hours ahead I assume.
-
Nope.
We're in the same year.
-
Well now you are.
-
It's more impressive going back in time than forwards.
-
True, we are all travelling forward in time.
So I decided to come back and visit you, as you live in the past.
-
Nope.
You're simply leaving me messages that I'll decipher at a later point.
However, because I'm so advanced, I can send messages forward in time.
-
Right..
-
It's a fact.
Also, Portal/Portal 2 are on sale for $8.74 as a bundle.
Portal 2 is $30, and Portal is $10 normally.
GET ON IT.
Seriously though, buy it as a gift, that way it stays in your inventory, and download it when you've got the internet capability.
-
No.
-
... You're a moron, you know that?
-
He really is.
I'm trying to save him money, by essentially getting him Portal 2 for free with Portal discounted.
-
Australian's think they're so cool. [Ice? Get it? Hahahahaa... yeah.. no.]
-
I GET IT IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE THERE'S A STRAY APOSTROPHE THERE
-
I don't think he gets it.
-
I thought we were hawt...
-
Aren't Australians the leading country for obesity now? I mean, to top the U.S. deserves some sort of award.
-
Idk, the US put up a huge stink when we claimed the title.
-
I don't even know what in the hell that's supposed to mean.
-
Me either.
Just back away slowly.
-
THAT'S RIGHT! RUN AWAY!
-
I bet you say that to all the ladies, don't you? >_>
-
Yeah...
-
Figured.
-
So, started watching the Ninth Doctor... don't like him that much yet.
-
I just watched Captain America.
It was actually decent.
But then again, I did get to see it for free which probably made it better, since Amazon gave me credit for their instant streaming after I bought a DVD from them. They also gave $10 in ebooks to students, which combined with the credit, makes it so they've given me what I paid for said DVD in free stuff.
-
I hear eBooks are pretty revolutionary -- very easy to maintain and use.
-
I prefer the feel of a book, but they're efficient.
Paperless - Good for the environment. But, the charging of the device isn't green. Luckily, Kindles last a long time if you use them properly.
Multiple device access - I can access the book I bought for my sister on her Kindle, or on my phone since she registered it to my Student Prime account.
Portability - One device the size of a book can hold hundreds, maybe even thousands. The Kindle Fire also has all those cool apps and stuff.
Cheaper - Downloading a book can be free, or ~1/3 of the cost. Got a $15 book for $4.69. Prime accounts let you access the lender library and get free stuff. Also, if you authorize an account, you can convert a .pdf into a Kindle format. We did it for a few books I have as .pdf.
Etc etc etc.
-
I'm unsure about e-readers at this point, they still don't seem enough like paper, at least the few cheapo ones I've bothered looking at.
I don't read enough to worry about one anyway, though I potentially would read more if I got one.
-
Library, bro.
Just go to there and read.
Or a book store.
I'm thinking of saving up enough to buy a Fire soon. Only if I can use it as a tablet on my PC as well.
-
No good libraries around me, else I probably would. Idk, just making excuses.
-
University Library?
They should have books.
-
They don't really have a 'library' library, but I was surprised to find they had Harry Potter there lol.
-
...
-
Social Sciences library, explains a lot really.
-
Not really...
I work at our school library.
This is what a real library should be for a University.
http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/
The Berkeley collection is housed in several dozen libraries throughout campus including James K. Moffitt Library, Bancroft Library, the C.V. Starr East Asian Library, Doe Memorial Library, over a dozen subject specialty libraries, and eleven affiliated libraries. (http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/AboutLibrary/visitor_information.html)
Oh, we've even got a storage facility to house all the books we can't fit on our shelves. It's shared by a couple of other Universities, but we take up the majority, since we're the original University of California.
-
Ours really just the speciality libraries.
http://www.library.uq.edu.au/ (http://www.library.uq.edu.au/)
-
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
I actually had sore muscles during Finals week from the sheer volume of books I was processing.
I was the only one trained to check in books one day I was working more than my usual hours, and ended up moving books from the drop bins, sensitizing them all, and checking them in. Then I had to organize all them on trucks so I had room to put the next load. I had to have someone bring the trucks to the floors thrice because I ran out of room so quickly.
And then I had to stay a little after clocking out to train someone to transport the books to the Main Stacks because they'd never done it before.
AND I'VE ONLY WORKED THERE FOR FOUR MONTHS.
I'm a shoe in for the work-leader position.
-
I'd vote for Shikki.
-
Not a voting thing.
But thank you anyways.
It's because I work the most hours out of all the new hires, and I'm staying on for summer, as well as working as soon as I get back to the Campus a week early.
-
I'd vote for Dylan.
-
No one named Dylan.
-
Dang, I was trying.
-
I work with mostly females.
Maybe... 6 males total?
-
Heck, I'd vote for any of the ladies.
-
All the current work leaders are female.
-
Awesome, cause it's ladies night.
-
Every night is.
-
Lucky son of a gun.
-
Yup.
This is why you work at the Library.
-
Only old people work at ours.
-
Two old people.
The rest are students, with one person who graduated from there, but is keeping the job until she gets into grad school.
