Title: Going Insane
Post by: Gyu~ru~ru on August 24, 2006, 01:50:31 AM
All the changes is driving me crazy. Mystie suddenly suck. Vampire got mean. Vitality potion "poof". HP was the root of the problem right? Just reset everything. I had enough of all these stupid changes that effect the lives of people who doesn't have massive HP.

Tell me about it >.> Neji wanted to take away the massive HP from people who has them but at the same time, he is also making the others unable to gain much pemanent HP to protect themselves.

Plus most of the guys with massive HP doesn't seem to be effected by whatever he is doing. People with a lot of gems/HP still have a lot of gems/HP. But for people with less or no gems (in other words, people with bad luck), new mount would have appeared by the time they saved up enough gems & they will have to get more gems again so that they wouldn't waste it on a weaker mount!

Title: Re: Going Insane

Gyu is right, in a way. It's really not that fair for people like me, i.e., those who never really seem to be able to collect enough gems for anything, to suddenly have everything suddenly made harder for them. It doesn't solve anything. The people with massive HP will still have massive HP, those with lots of gems will still have lots of gems...and those with very few will probably always have very few.

Yet...I'm kind of on the line about an HP reset. I worked hard for that whole 5 extra vitality (getting to level 15 for the first dragon kill seems to be the hardest). It would be frustrating to lose it now. I never did find whatever it was that gave these people enormous HP. As much as I'd like to...-_-

And the vampire is annoying! I'm just glad I managed to get away from him with my life before he "got mean", as Gyu said. Yet Neji seems extremely fond of him.

Title: Re: Going Insane
Post by: Sanosoke on August 24, 2006, 06:28:16 AM
Yeah, I don't like the new changes... for those that were high in levels, or those who got in earlier when everything was easy, it doesn't seem to affect them as much, because they still have ridiculous amounts of gems and HP... but those of us, relatively early in the game, we'll have much more trouble getting up as high as them...
Title: Re: Going Insane
Post by: dude no.1 on August 24, 2006, 06:36:15 AM
wasnt the vampire supposed to make sure no one exceeds a certain maximum hp, how can they reach that point when the
good ways of getting hp has been taken away. if the vitality potion then nobody would be able to exceed a certain point of
hp. dont make the vampire take away too much. like maybe let him take away 50% of the hp added to your normal hp.

Title: Re: Going Insane
Post by: Kieru on August 24, 2006, 07:46:56 AM
That's a good idea, but he seems to have made up his mind...seriously, though, I think it would be nice if he just bent to peer pressure and returned Mystie's to what it was before or put up a poll about all this or something.
Title: Re: Going Insane
Post by: Sanosoke on August 24, 2006, 08:01:05 AM
If he put up a poll, and it stayed the same, as in, everybody wanted it like that, then It probably wouldn't be THAT bad, at least they wanted it like that, but he just seemed to do it out of the blue... like saying "you all are powerful enough, stop getting stronger, let us stronger guys beat the crap out of you."

I saw Neji in the fields the other day...that was quite interesting. I realized he didn't want to "influence the game with himself", but I thought he'd just make it so his name didn't appear on the list...instead, he sleeps on a bed of rose petals surrounded by beautiful women -_-'

Well, to again display my plans:

a) the vampire "controls" the hp limit ... instead of a hard limiter that simply cuts off all HP you gain after a certain level, he comes randomly and gives you exp at least... --> HP max limit
b) events that *randomly* push out gems/turns/max hp are unbalanced... as Ann installed these mods and I did not check the settings (though I almost completely rewrote mystie due to bad coding) well... 100 gold and in 50% of all cases 1-5 gems OR 1-5 turns ? are you kidding? bad bad, I thought of 2 hp worth 4 gems, not 100 gold...
you see the problem? with mysties it was more the overall module...
c) gems... yes, guys with a lot of gems still have them. it is bad in a way... but I can't do anything about it now. I won't steal gems ... only the HP reset would be good then -> 1 hp = 2 gems
d) yes, I don't really play the game... knowing every little thing that is why I chose to have pvp protection. I killed some academy students etc ... and that is pointless to me. Also I am not fond of checking my stats after every change in oro kills (testing purposes). the bed of roses was a gag though.
e) it is your game, sure. but I highly doubt you want all to visit some sweets shoppe and find somehow gems and gems... what is  the point in that? also, when there is a serious backdraw in gems, I can start giving out more things in the forest and at other places where you *earn* stuff.
if you just hop in and buy gems/hp ... that *is* the same as the vitality potion.

and that was a bad thing... high oro kill players have mass of HP, and are in this case almost invincible.

it hit hard, but I changed these things the last 2 days as they seemed to be the most unbalanced. I did not use a couple of days but one "hard action" to alter them.

Correcting mistakes is always something, I am sorry. :(
I have not had the time to read through all modules and do so at the beginning.

i kinda agree with gyururu ... i mean ... it'll be a kinida unfair for academy students and genin and all those who just started playing the game ....

besides... im really losing much more than i have earned in these past few days....

so i was thinking even if all those events were taken away ... why dont put up some good events to equalize what has been taken away.. maybe in a different way... or maybe events that only gives those which are hard-working enough to earn it properly... maybe increase the rewards from fighting kabuto or what ever boss monster thing you find in the woods? or... increase the number of gems u get randomly from the woods?

Anyway... its just a suggestion  :D

Neji should make more things available from the Shoppe, like charm, gold, and other stuff, and lower the chance of feeling fat, or of getting loaded on gems, as if that was a bad thing...

it was unbalanced.

work for what you want. =) now I can start putting more gold/gems/charm etc again into it, as you don't get them "free" anymore.

The point is: you have to work for it =)

hmmm... yeah... I die in the mines, get poisoned by the broth, and Stonehenge transports me to the underworld, as apposed to spending hard earned money, and getting a few gems...

seems you see everything from the bad side...

"always look on the bright the side of life...." ^^

did you get gems or not? is your gem amount increasing or decreasing? =) do you earn exp or have only days where you lose and lose exp...

I've been to Stonehenge once when it didn't kill me in one form or another...

Mining... well, I usually don't risk it, but when I do, I get one gem... and yes, it wass decreasing. they usually get lost in some special events. But now it seems to be staying in the same place...

And exp, I've had days where it only goes down. But considering you get exp from the forest, the main center of the game's action, of course your exp is supposed to go up continuously.

I try to look on the bright side, just sometimes it's kinda hard to see...
