Title: War Mist <-> Sand
Post by: Neji on April 05, 2008, 07:05:47 pm
=) as you might have read, the two countries are officially at war...

Restrictions:

-> Enemies cannot enter the other city
-> PvP will be excluding own people (Kage reprimand)

Bonus:
-> Kill enemy nin! Every nin counts, and the party with the most kills will get one shop to move to their home =)

How do allies work in this?
For instance, can Fire (being allied with sand) enter water?
Title: Re: War Mist <-> Sand
Post by: doomstar on April 05, 2008, 08:37:49 pm
shouldn't the login page showing the relations be edited to show that water is against sand?
Title: Re: War Mist <-> Sand
Post by: accualy is spah on April 05, 2008, 09:24:10 pm
Is Rice Field against Mist?
It says Baluski is an enemy in PvP... he's Mist, I'm Sound ._.

Post by: Neji on April 05, 2008, 09:30:08 pm
I'll check that.

@doomstar
only the relations from KONOHA are shown.
else there would be more, wouldn't it?

@mihamaru
for now, they stayed out of business, same with Konoha

I've seen other Mist players, but "(ENEMY!)" wasn't written next to them .-.

but isnt it like unfair?there are like a billion mist nin and less sand nin .__.

Will Sound and Fire become involved?

And i think i know what shop from wind the mist nin want...
Title: Re: War Mist <-> Sand
Post by: Demon Bandit Taumaster on April 05, 2008, 11:03:52 pm
Same thing as Hiro happened to me. All mist ninja say (ENEMY!) in red next to them.
Title: Re: War Mist <-> Sand
Post by: Neji on April 05, 2008, 11:18:36 pm
@ENEMY

it should work now. for mist, sand is enemy and vice  versa.

Also:
Mist    1274
Sand    1146

<--- sorry, but that seems pretty balanced?
Title: Re: War Mist <-> Sand
Post by: Mihamaru on April 05, 2008, 11:19:24 pm
Question?
If Mist/Sand ninja cannot enter Wind/Water country, that means we are expected to find the Sand/Mist nin scattered everywhere else, correct?
Title: Re: War Mist <-> Sand
Post by: Gi on April 05, 2008, 11:24:03 pm
mh, i expected something like a "town" (battlefield) to travel to, where we can log out, slay and maybe gain more pvps. searching all these scattered nin is a pain. but well, i like it how it is, it's fun too. =)
Title: Re: War Mist <-> Sand

So..can't Mist just logout in Water and never be attacked?

By Sand and water.
Sound and Fire and missing nin can still kill them.

Nope.
Now it says that Sand are my enemies.

Title: Re: War Mist <-> Sand
Post by: Neji on April 06, 2008, 12:54:12 am
oh, and yes...

if you just stay in your city, you won't get attacked.

but if you run out of turns.... or forget to logout and timeout at such a place...
happy slaughtering... ^^

and I presume also some sitters laying themselves in those fields to "get killed" ...

well, let's see what happens.
Title: Re: War Mist <-> Sand
Post by: garuga on April 06, 2008, 01:50:32 am
So if for example,Sand is allied with Fire,If fire kills a mist nin, does that add up to the total pvp of sand?
Title: Re: War Mist <-> Sand
Post by: Demon Bandit Taumaster on April 06, 2008, 02:07:11 am
I think so.
Title: Re: War Mist <-> Sand
Post by: garuga on April 06, 2008, 02:18:05 am
I hope not
Title: Re: War Mist <-> Sand
Post by: atomkai on April 06, 2008, 02:32:06 am
I do not think so.

I think number of successful "Sand v Mist" PvPs will be compared against number of successful "Mist v Sand" PvPs and that will determine the winner.

Again, I think.

I also have had the problem of (ENEMY!) appearing randomly.

I have a Mist character, that logged out in Sand before the war began.  I go to "slay in the fields" and I see Lord of SunaGakure with (ENEMY!) (they are a Sand nin), then there was another character that was also a Sand nin (at least according to their bio), but they did not have (ENEMY!) next to their name.  Then, in a Sand Dwelling, there was also a char that had "Sand" in the bio, but no (ENEMY!) next to their name.

I'm not sure if it was because they were at a lower DK level or not.

If we kill them in dwellings if still goes towards our side right? I killed 3 so far I think and none of them had this Enemy thing appear, it looked like a normal pvp.

I am from Fire and I killed someone who is from Wind which it says enemy.

so if a sand nin has a building in water than they cant go to it?
Title: Re: War Mist <-> Sand
Post by: Jin on April 06, 2008, 05:26:49 am
I don't know why, but everytime I found a mist or sand nin, it says that they are enemy, my character is a leaf ninja. I thought that the war was just between sand and mist. It is a bug or something?

Right.

As for the "I am leaf, and have ENEMY..." <-fixed now

War changes things, keep that in mind.

Would failed PvPs count towards the opposing side? <<
Title: Re: War Mist <-> Sand
Post by: Neji on April 06, 2008, 06:48:54 pm
Nope. ^^

I am mean.

Therefore, an assault needs to succeed to count as a kill.
But nevertheless: to stop a marauding enemy by laying a sitter in the fields helps.

but if failed attacks dont count then any side's top members (like myself) are basically useless now. I am one of the highest ranked sand, but I often have literally no one period to fight. doesnt anyone else see the flaw in also just allowing an attack on the enemy without any extra penalty aside from the common death? it shud at least count as a point off from that side
Title: Re: War Mist <-> Sand

Quick question?
If you aren't one of the two villages, and you go into Mist/Sand, it says something about "you may be captured... or wose"
Does that have any significance?

oo That makes sense.
Title: Re: War Mist <-> Sand
Post by: atomkai on April 11, 2008, 12:25:02 am
I think IF Sand Nin vote to request Leaf to join, THEN Leaf Nin vote as to whether or not they want to get involved.

First, Sand has to decided if they are going to ask for help.

Then, (if they do) Leaf has to decide if they are going to answer the call.

That is just speculation on my part.

2 against 1 mist will lose then, kills oro and becomes sand to vote no for help :P

after an official help request is sent, the hokage (me) will most likely ask his jounin+ and so on.

My opinion, if Leaf joins Sand, then Mist needs to be able to "sneak" into both countries.

Either a separate mechanism needs to be introduced to facilitate this, or an existing one that has since been closed needs to be reopened.

Then sand should get the same option. AS for alts, it would take far to long to train a good enough alt. The war could be over by then. And the name change is a low trick that is cheap and rarely works anymore

Under my scenario (not sure what Neji has in mind) - all nin, regardless of race, would have the same option.

Of course, that is if something along those lines is implemented.

well i would love to go hunting mist nin in water country.but if that type of module isnt put in than im assuming that mist cant sneak into fire country either right?also is the kill count of leaf and sand added and compared to mist?and if a mist nin kills a leaf nin does the kill count to the mist kill count?

Hmm, it would be nice to incorporate rOOt as the new "protectors" of the borders since based off of our Travel map...you need to get through Konoha to travel to either of the countries....

...rOOt's mission could be to eliminate all "threats" (which would be other shinobi's traveling to hostile lands) in protection for their own mission that is in jeopardy if the "The Fourth Great War" will begin do to this current ongoing conflict....

...eh, I'm just brainstorming....I'll be back to edit this so it can make more sense....

Sand Faction should simply surrender so we can move on to bigger and better things.

this war was stacked against sand from the start.... most sand are either way down in acads, or like myself, and way up, and cant even attack most people. I have had days where there were literally no players available for me to attack. but like people have said, water will just take the bestiary, and be even more stacked against all other villages

you see this kind of outcome in all video games with direct pvp. when one team/player has multiple targets then they get more kills, like back in the day i used to play halo with my cousin. two on one, him vs my friend and i, we would get demolished. its not aht we were not as good, its just that he had more targets, more targets = more potential kills. thats just how it goes. (sorry for the lame halo reference but it seemed the most applicable analogy)

The current MotD announces:

For ~24 hours, you will have the benefit of "all kill all" ...

no level restrictions.

no oro kill restrictions...

all village are open, the war is going all-out.

The system is currently not allowing any deviation from the previous "level" restrictions.

Please note that this problem has already been petitioned (dozens of times ) and as soon as Neji becomes aware, I am sure he will address it.
