  The thought of everyone getting what they want is really a turn off. The idea of SL excited me because there was this sense of...exclusivity when it came to the unique canon items that we saw in the Manga. "Only one person has Kusanagi? What? There are only nine biju amidst the entire game? This is insane...it's almost like there is a mythology about this site and people are truly unique and can have legacies linked to these claims."

Coming from the fanon where there are 11 different nine tail hosts and a million users of flying thunder god (Obvious exaggerations, but like not really) it was truly refreshing to think that the items of worth were coveted and their legends maintained despite the arguments that can revolve around them. Not only that but people still get the chance to create their own techniques and tools if they couldn't get something canon.

Of course the idea of people sitting on claims just so others can't use them is...ridiculous to say the least. It ruins the spirit of the game entirely, but it's not the case for every item. I went out and earned the Yata mirror and Kusanagi...I fought, argued and planned for hours and ended up getting what I strove for. I'm sure if I wanted, I could go out and pick some other claim and do exactly the same, I just have to be willing to endure the tribulation. Though what if one of those tools was a SSMS? Looking at the village defenses, there was no feasible way of infuriating without them inexplicably noticing me despite any and every precaution I took. They wouldn't accept challenges for them, because tools have no rules enforcing a challenge system, I'm certain they wouldn't trade for them Ect Ect. They were actively making it impossible to get their swords. I even talked to someone who was trying to get into the group, and after almost a year they still did not have a sword. What's left at that point? When all else has failed and the rules have been broken, they must be stripped.

From my experience, the claims list is not broken, and Sl's method of claims in general is not broken. It was simply one group of individuals who couldn't obey and got punished for it. EZPZ.

I want the items to be in circulation, so newer players have a chance at attaining unique and noteworthy weapons in order to establish their characters. The last thing I want is for people to camp on anything just so they can say they have it, then never use it in public RP. Hence my haste to participate in this thread.

Sure she has a point. OK then, there is no feasible way to have an organized discussion over each and every item on that list in one single thread. Plus this thread is solely about the kiri swords so we don't want to get off topic. Kayenta, seeing as you are the one so desperate to get the word out, I need you to make individual topics for each and every item you want to claim, that way the individuals who are in question have a chance to defend their cases. It's only fair that if we hold a trial for Kiri that we hold one for everyone else. Teostra, you can help too. Me? I don't feel like having that many conversations unless someone else puts it together, so i'll wait here.

time limit?

way back whenever the heck it was, I went and read the rp in the zones where she had actively been using them. the objections were made then that individuals were not using them and her activity was poo poo'd away. And it was even said by her accusers that the only reason she used then at all was because she saw a time limit coming up and had to wave them around once or twice to keep them from being grabbed up on the claims list. It was argued that, that kind of activity was not fair because it was not doing anything to promote activity or progressing rp and so on and so forth.

now the demand to prove this really happened seems to be the sticking point. And that seriously annoys me.

She was using them. she said it, i saw it...that was not good enough. Now it is being put forth as the pivotal point that will keep the swords from being stolen and that rock hard proof is demanded, now that it no longer exists. When the evidence was NOT HEARSAY and could be pointed to by everyone with eyes to see!

I am not against this cause it is the hate on bocc week or anything like oh my best friend is being raked over the coals so i gotta be all biased and put a stop to it. I think it is safe to say that my axe to grind against events in kiri is as big as anyone's. and I have raged about that on numerous occasions so no need to birth them again when I am finally past all that. i am against this because the accusation of inactivity is false.


since then...since the initial theft was made, during a time when the inactivity time frame for claimed items had not been exceeded...this battle of wills over them has been going on for how long?




the long and the short of it is that being forced to provide proof and saying it could have been edited is really just too insulting for me to be silent.

get a reality hold on yourselves for crying out loud. why do we have to abuse her and assume she could be lying and making edits to falsify proof that wasn't accepted the first time the issue was brought up anyway?

seriously...is her word not good enough? is my word not good enough? since when would either one of us bother to lie about this sort of thing? I seriously do not understand why it became acceptable to behave this way over a game and when we had to start screen shotting our every waking move in order to be legit.

Oh yes, I know that tempers have risen, that issue were great and large and more than frustrating...
but that was ...

and you know what? The biggest criminals in that department who set the standard of shoving the shaft up everyone's rear end either don't even belong to SL anymore or bother to actively rp!

well he did this to me, and she did that to him, and the both of them got their six cousins to stand around and do it to each other, but that was not until he went and started the whole thing by acting like she didn't do that one thing, when everyone i know stepped up and said she sure the heck did.

If you can touch them with the Preta path you can either absorb them entirely, or just revert them to a physical form. ot sure what happens there actually.

I was reading a thread and it seemed people agreed that the gentle fist would still cause damage to the chakra network despite them lacking a conventional physical form.

In a completely unbiased outlook, I can't even really see a "devils advocate" way of looking at this. Even if the evidence wasn't hearsay as bocc says, or easily doctored as most PM messages could be, the dates presented in the messages place their usage of the tools at almost a year ago. (At least how I am seeing it.)

Obviously this far exceeds the 90 day limit by a huge margin and no new evidence was presented when our concern for the messages validity arose. Unless someone can burst into this case with groundbreaking evidence, I don't see much that can be argued.

We shall see. I am wondering what screen shots he has because he made it seem like if he got any they'd be from the SSM forum. Which is an entirely different website where they do their SSM tests and such and I can't help but wonder if that should count or not.

It shouldn't. They might as well say, "Oh I was playing Ninja Storm 4 and used Kisame, so I get to keep Samehada despite never using it on SL. I mean, I was using it in spirit!" If their special snowflake forum is not here, or SL, then it does not count.

So, as a parallel, it would be like the veins in our bodies being physical while the blood that flows through them are ethereal. Huh.

I consider the chakra system to be ethereal opposed to physical. The only canon instances I can think of where the chakra system was affected were in situations where it was chakra damaging it. Like Naruto's Rasenshuriken and the gentle fist. Are there any situations where Taijutsu/Kenjutsu caused that kind of damage? If not then it's pretty clear that the system is not literally physical.

And Bocc is right to question the validity of the SO6P simply willing a chakra pathway system into people's bodies. Unless of course he quite literally manipulated the worlds evolutionary timeline, and this new addition to our bodies is caused by evolution. It would kinda explain why there are people who have and don't have full control over their chakra, resulting in Rock Lees' and ordinary humans. They were just unlucky enough that their new evolutionary trait is underdeveloped, because evolution takes a considerable amount of time to mature...I guess. That's a stretch though, I would just stick with it being an ethereal thing that can't be manipulated under normal circumstances.

Having just recently joined SL and discovering just how things are handled here, I find it asinine to sit on the weapons without them even being used in RP. That essentially bars anyone from ever getting a hold of them for their own stories. Though it's not just Kirigakure that does it from what I am seeing. Literally every person who has a reputable cannon tool will throw the entire kitchen sink at you if it means keeping their precious little claims, even when they are not important to their overall character. This is a flaw of SL that needs to be addressed.

To those who say "You need to RP something for once" obviously need to rethink their lives, because apparently that almost never works. Having discussed with several people, whenever it comes to plundering a Village/Shinobi for their goods, the RP will more than likely be voided before any headway can be made in actually getting the desired items. So what's the point of even trying to RP in the first place? Why waste potentially months only to be met with vicious arguments after 2 rounds of posts? It's actually stupid. It's substantially easier to dedicate - what like a couple weeks? - to stripping them of those items so other people can actually get the chance to distinguish their character and move on with their lives.

Then there is the "Custom tool" argument that was made earlier. While it sounds good on paper, it's a fairly naive sentiment. With how the show progressed the power scaling became absolutely ridiculous, so naturally people are going to want items/tools that rival those powers so they can be relevant. The problem with that is, making special abilities like that draws a fine line between god mod and acceptable. It's incredibly easy to make something that is broken without even thinking about it, which in of itself can lead to their own set of arguments and voids. It's just easier to say "Oh I have Samehada, it's in the canon so it's just accepted."

I'm on Bocc/Shadow/Vail's side on this; Provide some modicum of evidence that the tools were used during the time the original strip was enacted and the topic will be dropped. If no evidence can be provided, then the tools will be given to those who are attempting to claim them.

T’challa watched as the clone flew higher to try and reach his location, luckily bocc gave the option between a second or two, so let's go with two. Having already noted that his body had rematerialized at the end of his previous post, T’challa reached up and poked his heart with a thumb, causing the 8th gate to release while simultaneously pulling out a special tag with his other hand that he flowed chakra into to create a 10 foot barrier around his person (it’s effects are being sent to Shadow). T’challa’s body suddenly became engulfed in a red mist as his chakra jumped into MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE. Considering the Rinnegan lacked any observable ability to predict movement the clone likely witnessed a stationary afterimage of T’challa as he moved with frightening speeds to the ground below by kicking off the air, landing in a crouched position just behind Bocchiere while his hands were both occupied with the Rasengan technique (1 foot). Rearing back, he initiated the first step of the evening elephant technique to send a cannon of pressurized air at Bocc that would probably reduce his body to a pancake from the force alone. If the first hit would land, he would follow through with the remainder of the formation, repositioning himself in order to constantly re-apply the vacuum cannon a number of times to crush bocc from all directions. T’challa’s newfound speed would be so great that the Sharingan more than likely couldn’t even process it. As it’s so commonly mentioned, the Raiton armor was difficult for the Sharingan to track, and Sage mode/8th gate was faster than even Kyuubi chakra mode which was several times faster than the thing that was already really hard for Sharingan to track. Gotta go fast

T’challa witnessed the creation of the Rinnegan clone and immediately was less than impressed with this fight. As the death beam was initiated, the young Uchiha allowed his body to explode into thousands of bat shaped pieces of paper that swarmed forward around Bocc and his clone aiming to hinder their vision momentarily as a smaller group of them moved high into the air. Immediately the paper reformed into T’challa’s hand in the shape of the seal of confrontation. Each bat that was around bocc came to produce a number of explosive tags that just before detonation would split to create more, thus creating a chain of consecutive explosions that can seemingly last forever. Literally all around Bocc and his clone, hundreds of seemingly infinite explosions would begin to erupt violently, causing tremendous amounts of damage for a significant duration of time if allowed. The explosion radius was approximately 20 meters by 20 meters with Bocc at the epicenter. Luckily for T’challa, the explosions didn’t reach him once he was properly elevated, not once ever stopping his ascent even while activating the jutsu. T’challa reformed his body entirely while in the air, but with a slight difference than before. His body had begun to take on a grey hue, signaling the activation of his sage transformation.
