It's not that there isn't a rule for it that is an issue to me but that the idea contradicts a current rule, namely that I can use X bijuu chakra at a certain point of time.

I could argue that my bijuu "likes" me enough to use whatever stage of transformation I have access to and so I should be able to use sage mode with it.

It's not that it's impossible but the bijuu can choose to interfere with the combination or the amphibian technique. So currently it's just character control to tell me what my bijuu can or can't feel like letting me do. There should be a rule made on it.

You could argue that, could even argue Chomei is different than Kurama. Could also be interpreted as you attempting to gain a boon before you should be able to.

It's from my viewpoint that you shouldn't be able to based off the few instances we've seen in the manga. But you could argue it from a biju personality standpoint. See what everyone else says I suppose?

Context for everyone

No SL rule against it, but the canon disagrees. Naruto couldn't.

One could debate according to the canon that you can't do biju mode + sage mode

Or one can interpret it as you can't do Amphibian technique + biju mode.

Biju has to like you to allow one of the following above. At least in the case of Kurama and Naruto.

Edit: Or pre mastery, your biju also has to be pissed off at the opponent

Rules/Foundation / Re: IC Rules

I don't think escape should be allowed.

Why not?

I think it should be allowed, under some limitations, as this is an IC fight, and the hunted not having the option to retreat from battle is far-fetched given that the hunters have the option to retreat from the battle at any time without limitations based on what we already have.

Cause the hunted can just Kamui, ftg, reverse summon, etc away.

Or they could raiton no yoroi + sage mode + body flicker away

There would have to be pretty serious limitations.

What am I supposed to be doing to be in compliance? I kinda stopped following along, cause I was sick of making a thread and it being moved.

Bijuu Arena / Re: Kaze Daizaemon vs Trev: Multi-Bijuu Melee

According to the judge's ruling:
The Poison won't hurt me
The weight tech will weigh down my susanoo, but not separate me from it
My sword attack misses

The post will reflect these decisions.

The pace of the battle would speed up rapidly at this point, causing the Yondaime to have to be at his best to deal with the situation. A tremendous weight would be put on his susanoo, causing it to fall to the earth like a ton of bricks, though not before heaving the now obese sword at his opponent. Unfortunately his foe would teleport, causing the Yondaime to miss. The Yondaime would also notice as he fell to the ground, a giant bubble envelop his foe's giant body, foiling two of the Yondaime's attempts.

Naturally since the Yondaime was much heavier than even the large giant, his descent would take a much more rapid pace. As he and his susanoo fell, he simply deactivated the technique. This left him open to an attack, but also slowed his fall. To counter the fall to his doom, the Yondaime activated one of the unique traits of Sage Transformation, jet boosters. The boosters on his back would flare to life, stopping him from falling and propelling him up. The Yondaime angled them in a way so he would travel diagonally. This caused him to ascend back in the air, but also create more spacing horizontally which was already a football field away.

As he was traveling, the Yondaime made his counter. Focusing in on Kaze and his giant bubble, which was a huge target, and not exactly easy to miss. Heck he didn't even need his various sensing to techniques to see this blight on the world, but he did have them and they did help. The Yondaime would react to Kaze when he was still in the midst of descending through the poison. The poison was not thick enough to hide Kaze from his line of site, thus the Yondaime would attempt to put a little hole in the bubble. Quickly focusing his sharingan, the Yondaime would aim for the middle of the bubble and promptly Kamui it.

While Kaze was a moving target, and the Yondaime was also moving, his aim would be well enough to successfully target the bubble. It also didn't help that Kaze was falling in a predictable straight line, which for the powers of the Sharingan was elementary. Even if his aim was off, he targeted the middle, and Kaze and his bubble were such a big target, it would be impossible to miss the whole thing. The Yondaime with the help of senjutsu would be able to fire off a massive Kamui, roughly the same size as the one Kakashi was attempting to fire to take the mazo's head off. But the senjutsu helped the Yondaime fire it off much faster than Kakashi could.

Although, even the size of the mazo's head was still relatively small compared to Kaze, this was still a relatively large hole. The Kamui would promptly end, and the Dokuton surrounding Kaze will promptly swarm the bubble, filling up a significant amount of the bubble with the poison. Even if his bubble had quick regenerative properties (idk if it does) it would be almost impossible to prevent any from getting in. All the Yondaime needed was a little touch, or the poison to be inhaled or flow in through Kaze various orifices. Of course, because Kaze would be exposed to a much smaller amount of Dokuton, his chakra network wouldn't rot in seconds like it would had he been exposed to the explosion. But still, it would mark doom for the man eventually.

As this occurred, the various metal spheres would also be descending to the ground and also be enveloped in the poison when the Otokage launched his Kamui, making teleportation not an option. Regardless of what happened, the Yondaime would continue his merry little flight, taking comfort in having the battlefield in relative control with his poison and him controlling the wind. Although, he did not let his guard down, keeping wary of a counter, and just to be extra sure, he snagged one of the kunai on his belt that was marked for hiraishin. Said kunai would be covered in wind chakra to increase the speed when it was thrown. Using all of his sage strength, he promptly whipped the kunai to his far right (Away from Kaze). Due to the strength of the toss, the velocity of being covered in wind, and having to drop a large distance, the kunai would travel 750 meters away, assuming flight is non interpreted.

1. Jet Boosters
2. Kamui (sage enhanced)
3. Futon covered kunai toss

Council / Re: Council Vote: 9 Tails Genesis/Athos

Well, with four votes for Synth, that's a wrap to this thread. So unless the undecided Hades, Kay, or Shadow want to try and sway the council to change their vote. This case is done with.

Synth, unless evidence ever comes up that the biju was ever attributed to the character of Genesis.

I don't see why. The only reason the clone rule was made was because back when we thought they literally had infinite chakra some people (maybe me) just made like 50 or 100 shadow clones at a time and it was agreed that was way overboard.

The update specifically notes that you can't make any more clones than you could when you were alive though. As long as we understand that you can't like make a clone and then let both of you fill back up to 100% and do that over and over again the rule is really no longer needed, since the issue it was addressing is no longer an issue.

I suppose, but it makes it harder to seal the Edo Tensei which I take issue with. Anyway, I'll quit raining on your parade and being a stickler and wait for other opinions lol. Maybe minds have changed.

Sure, he should be stripped. But why should it go to you? Did you challenge him? I know he doesn't have a forum thread. So if you messaged him a challenge and can prove it, sure it should go to you.

Didn't you not challenge him till after this thread was made >.>

At least according to forum time. You kinda did it backwards if that's the case.

Challenged him for it on the public thread Eric made for the 0 tails. I waited for him to become inactive to make this topic and even waited an extra day.

Also Dato, if you have an interest in seeing where the Reibi goes you should probably abstain from voting. With Shadow also not getting a vote, there are on odd number of votes left, so it should work out.

I don't think I'd say in regenerates instantly. Unless I'm remembering wrong Minato said something about being out of chakra after a while.

I'd agree to the single clone since the sealing thing doesn't really make sense and I dislike rules that are just nerfs that make no sense for the sake of being nerfs.

I don't recall Minato saying that, although it has been awhile. If he did say it, I'd suspect it's when he had the barrier up. But I don't know that he said that.

I didn't mean instant, but the regeneration period is so fast it makes one think an Edo Tensei is unlimited.

Glad you can agree to that, but I think it needs some other nerf if you want to get it passed. Whatever it be, it will be a non cannon nerf unfortunately as the people of SL have generally been hardest on Edo Tensei than any other tech. So if you really want this clone amendment to pass, something else has be given up. Just the way it works with this jutsu

Council / Re: Requesting Council Action: Nine Tails Again
« on: January 03, 2017, 07:04:49 PM »
My vote has already been placed. I believe Genesis can defend it as Synth.

Unless he answers Athos's charge that he did in fact have it on Genesis (said so on SL bio). Please do answer that charge and do so truthfully. If he did do that, than my vote is he defend it as Genesis. So when he answers it, you may count my vote

Edit: My brain died and I switched the characters.

I agree and disagree with this thread. You are correct in saying that Edo Tensei's don't have unlimited chakra. This is a misrepresentation of the tech. Instead the zombies likely have just rapid regeneration of chakra. Whenever they perform a tech, their chakra "bar" is likely refilled instantly. This however, does not mean it is infinite capacity wise. We've seen example like Mu with the Dust Release, and two of the Hokages not being able to make clones while holding the barrier. This is probably cause in life, Mu couldn't create a dust release attack with only 50% chakra either.

I'm hesitant to say clones should be used. Mostly because it makes zombies harder to seal if you have a clone that can interfere in the sealing process. I think a nerf that would be better than a chakra regeneration rate would be a limit to only one clone for the zombie, and the addition of either when the clone is out, the zombie can't use anything above B ranked techs (No Kirin, no rinny techs, no Sage Mode, etc) or if the clone is sealed, then the main is too. The latter would help with clone techs like the splitting tech, but would also apply to shadow clones.
