Why do people put xX(name)Xx as their name?

It seems so overused...Especially in shooting games...What are your opinions on the xX(name)Xx-ness?

I never saw the point to it..
It does't intimidate ANYBODY..
um, maybe it gives them the ability to have a certain name..

ex.
neji was taken..so the n00b used xXNejiXx

If a name you want is taken, make random Letters to make it look cool  ;)

I've onlt used it once because the name clay was taken, Clay's my real name, I didn't use it anymore cause it was being overused.
