Title Character Limits:

I understand why there are character limits, and I understand why they should be there.

But....I want to know if this idea can be implemented...

If your titles are longer then 25 characters, then it should be approved by a moderator or an administrator for the title to take affect. This way if your title is very long or just plain absurd it can get rejected...this will though put some more responsibilities upon the moderators.

I do know that suggestions like this idea have already been suggested, but I think my idea is just a little different.

The former "hard limit" for the chars has been removed by me.

Though I hesitate with titles as I still remember konohahokageyellowflash ... ^^ as name.

But with a validation, maybe it makes sense.
I cannot differ between Kanji and normal chars currently, so the limit which can be dropped in favour of special chars could be circumvented.

So....I am getting a little confused. Is this feature going to actually happen, or is it a maybe or do you want more people to support this idea?

EDIT: Never mind about that question...I think I get what you mean, please though keep this idea in your mind...I don't want you to just throw it out xD.

Not in the common sense.

I fail to see why 50 char long titles are necessary.

YET: the limit counts currently colours too... so if you have not 25 with 3 colours, you in fact have 17... 3 for ` and the colour code, and at the end there will be `0 attached to clear the last colour.

But, if you want i.e. 6 colours... you have only 11 chars left.

So, if there is a *reasonable* suggestion...

We can't validate ALL new titles... too much work.

I suggest that colors don't count towards the char limit ..simple enough I think  :)

I see chars with 25 letters and 25 colours...

I am not too fond of fruit salad bowls on my screen...
