I was in 7th grade eating breakfast before going to school and my mom started crying. At the time, I'm ashamed to say that i didn't know what the twin towers were, but I understand the situation now. 

Back then, all I remember was that my history teacher, who usually just keeps talking about her two little puppy dogs, finally had something else that was historic to discuss with us. We had to read bunches of articles and write lots of papers on the matter later on in that week.
