Why not just make it more gold than that and 1 less gem?
5,000 - 10,000 [Varying on your level (every 3 levels is 1,000 gold.)] and 2 gems.
That way, it goes in conjunction with a system where it balances out a players' expenses.


So your telling me if someone is lvl 300 its gonna cost me 300,000 gold and 100 gems to place a bounty?

I could be misreading it - and it wouldn't be the first time in this thread - but I see the gem cost as static.  Level 1-3 = 1,000 gold & 2 gems / Level 4-6 = 2,000 gold & 2 gems / Level 7-9 = 3,000 & 2 gems / Level 10-12 = 4,000 gold & 2 gems / Level 13-15 = 5,000 & 2 gems.

Again, could be my misreading.

And I really need to find some "gem luck" like you guys.  I went an entire gameday - well over 100 turns (with bought bonuses, DK points, flawless and chakra) and spent two gems, and earned zero (net loss of s).  A net gain of 3 is rare for me.

Yeah, the gem cost should increase, maybe gold can be based on level like already said, but the gems could be based on Oro kills, so for every 15 or so it cost 1 extra gem.

There's no point to increasing VIA oro kills =/
Just makes the modulke more of a hassle.
5,000 gold and 2 gems at level 1
simple as that
at level 15 it will be 10,000 gold and 2 gems.

and it really shouldn't cost less to get a level 13 Grand Hokage than it does to kill a level 15 Acad.

Difficult if you leave an open end to a bounty... however, if "only" gold is returned, it should work out.

I cannot fully predict the balancing effect here.

Actually that is a good point, people could get rack up a bounty or two and get heaps of Gold all of a sudden, but yeah the concept is pretty interesting.

If only Jounin up can post up bounties than 3 gems is cheap.
But I think everyone should be able to post a bounty...

True, but normally it would take a Grand Hokage to kill a Grand Hokage.
But...
Bounty hunting seems to me to be an activity participated by mostly sitters. They kill the targets and they are most likely the targets themselves...
