If you explore later into the game we have some specialties that have defensive jutsus.
Naruto style?
Rasengan has been integrated into the game, Genin+ have access to it but you need to figured out what to do.
Sasuke style such as Chidori?
Well that will be Kekkei Genkai since it needs Sharingan for Mastery.
If you're interested in Rai Ninjutsu, just explore.
Lee + Gai > Taijutsu
Itachi > Genjustu and Kanton
Just explore each characters and you will find out that each specialty may or may not be here.
