Effectiveness of items
« on: August 27, 2007, 12:09:03 PM »

Oliver, Xaos, is it possible to make the stronger healing items that restore a certain % of the player's HP instead of points? Players with high HP have absolutely no use for the current list of healing items as they only restore only a next to nothing amount of HP for them :-?

I second this request.  Healing for 2 hp with a base of over 2000?

The problem would probably where to define the percentages.
For instance, and apple does 30 HP for a level 1 acad (who has only 10 HP).
When they get high HP (I'll use mine for example, which at the time I made this was 1265), does that mean an apple would heal 300% HP, or 3795 HP?

Then lower the percentages

My lemons only restore 2 hp points max. That is why I only use them to make lemonade!

percentage of the hp =P

such as 10 hp...

cabbage does what... 3-4?

for maybe chuunin and below it stays with points but for jounin+ it can be percentages since theyll have maybe 80-2000-ish hp at lvl 1?

so 3/80 isnt much and 3/2000 is nothing.

put it as percentage like maybe 10%?

24/80 and like 200/2000 can be alot more helpful  (not sure about exacts doing math quickly)

...

Way off...what were you thinking?  It's 8/80 for 10%.  24/80 is 30%.

I say 10-13%.

Why the heck would a puny apple heal for 300%?  Where did you get that idea?

If a level one acad gets a hold of an apple it would heal them for 30hp while a lvl one acad has 10 hp and that would equal 300% if I'm correct.

Say we use percents and say a player has 1000hp. The apple would heal you for 3000 if what I read from Miha's post is correct

like i said wasnt paying attention to math =\

and who said it would heal 300%?

one apple cant triple your health.

a small percentage are good

it gets larger hp healing for the amount of hp you have while keeping the same percent.

10% of 1000 would be 100 health so say you were down to maybe 200-300 HP and couldnt heal, the apple would get you to 300-500 HP making a huge difference in how you do in the forest when you use it

Dude, go back to the math.
If a level 1 acad uses an apple, he will gain 30 HP.
Since he only has 10 max HP, you'll gain 300% HP.
