i was watching this anime movie today, at the end the "final" battle, the good guy borrows strenght from his friends and believes in himself and beats the bad dude

then the bad dude sees the error of his ways XDDDD

YYH's 2nd movie had them all join together and blast the bad guy.
When I saw that I went "so cliche".
Then he jumped up and rammed Yusuku into a building. I was all "WHAT THE CRAP?! THE 'JOIN TOGETHER TO BEAT THE BAD GUY' THING ALWAYS WORKS!!!!!"

There are times where the main char loses to the army...like in Zero No Tsukaima....Saito only kills 70,000 out of the 7 MILLION. Before he gets blasted by a couple thousand spells and dies bleeding to death.
