Square-Enix actually made it...Disney just took a role in it with it's characters to add to the story.
I like KH but I don't love it per se, I still look forward to the PSP version coming out; Birth By Sleep.
DS version...well I can find out by the internet about the 14th member of the Org. 13. >_>

I know it's not a spin-off. If it was, Aerith would be dead, and Wakka, Tidus, Selphie, Seifer, Fujin, Raijin, would be adults.

But then why aren't there whole Final Fantasy worlds then?

If Disney made it, there would be no swords, just pop stars singing until their enemies died.

For example- Hannah Montana or The Jonas Brothers singing, and everyone just kills themselves to end the suffering. =]

It couldn't all be about the FF world, it had to have some content of Disney yet some FF but a storyline,Heartless, Kingdom Hearts, etc.

Technically Disney owns the right to KH, and Square can't add their worls without asking them....Also all orginal concepts belong to disney.
