is anybody besides me following it besides me? naruto got dumb when he turned all god mode ans stuff. one piece on the other hand has me waiting and waiting for each new manga.

I love One Piece. Always have, always will. These recent chapters have been awesome, last week's in particular. I'm really looking foward to seeing if he saves Ace or not.

I have never given the One Piece manga a chance, mainly because what I saw of the anime was so lame.

I will make an effort to catch up, starting from chapter 001.  It will take me some time, but I will start with the first 100 and reevaluate whether or not I should continue.

Atom, if the anime you watched was the 4Kids dub, don't even consider it One Piece.

I can tolerate animated movies / shows being dubbed. 

But I do not routinely (if ever) watch anime on broadcast  or cable television.

the first 100 episodes and manga dont compare to where its at at the moment, right now the anime is at around about 30-40 chapters behind the manga, so if your trying to catch up and start watching one piece i would suggest you start from where they get shot up to sky island, everything after that is just awesome, including water 7!!! and enies lobby!!!

I am reading now.  Up to 15.  I still do not like the character design, and I am not blown away with anything that has happened so far.  I do not find the story to be all that compelling, at least at this point.

Chapter 15 and complaining? You shouldn't just read 15 chapters and finish a series. Those are the starter chapters. Go an look at the first 15 chapters of Naruto. WAY different, especially in art style, than current. At least get up to 50 or 100 before you judge.
