Well, it just isn't built to do it, but there would be two ways I can think of,
-One, the player is a trainer, goes out and catches forest creatures, uses caught Pokemon to fight others, fighting master would be replaced with gyms etc...
-Two, the player is a Pokemon, and plays like a normal LoGD.
