The Events Which Have No Lifespan.
« on: September 30, 2010, 12:36:39 AM »

I find it very strange that there is still the Pot-o-Gold event and the Chinese New Year event still active throughout the year... One would think that these should be time sensitive? The Chinese New Year event even says "It's the legendary creature that only comes from it's lair during Chinese New Year.." How strange! I've only just returned to the game so I'm not sure if there are more. My guess would be yes.

So here are my two questions:

1. What other seasonal events have you seen year long?

and

2. Do you think not having a time limit on the events was intentional?

Discuss! =)

My guess is Neji gets busy, and forgets to change these things!

1] I have not encountered any other seasonal event that went year long. I believe that after you find the pot 'o gold for the first time and finish that "quest" you are unable to encounter it again. Yes, you can encounter it, but the text just says you wait around for him and give up waiting eventually to continue in the forest.

2] I don't think it's a "time limit" kind of issue. I think Neji is just a bit too busy at times and forgets things. We are only human after all.

Ah, I didn't know about the Pot 'o Gold event being like that where you can still encounter but not turn in after you've done it already. For this year's round I got the event yesterday but haven't encountered it again... I'm sure I would have figured out it's a one time deal a year if I had come across it again. All this sublimital text clogging up my screen starts to mean something to me now.. >=)

Candy isn't an event. It's an item.

You can only sell them to (I forgot who) at halloween (Which is not an event without a lifespan).

Otherwise, you can only sell one at a time to the ninja merchant.

I meant the collection of, in FF.

As well as the Pumpkin King, who was around much longer than expected.

The easter bunny went away on time though.
