Really? I haven't tried. I had my Mankey to sweep.

Just stock up on potions. You'll need them. You won't be able to control your pokaymanz if you level them up too much.

Route 4.

He's right outside Mt. Moon, so you can't catch anything in the patch after Route 3, or the patch after Mt. Moon until you get into Cerulean.

Mt. Moon is fair game though.

You should get a Geodude. They're so useful...

I recommend getting something else on that route. You can fish up a Magikarp on one of the routes you don't need.

Yeah I just looked up the map, thought the spot just outside of pewter was part of the same route!

But anyway, they're mostly useless anyway.
