Poison Apple

I was doing the sichae apple bobbing thing. I got this poison apple which probably should decrease my stats but it gave me a buff! Why? In battle it says you like see stuff or something to that nature. I thought poison is suppose to hurt you or other bad effects not give you +.7 defense.

Did you have another buff?

If you already had a boost in defense (because of your mount or an event) that exceeds how much the apple lowers in defense, then the apple will just affect the + defense you had (by lowering it).

Hmmm..yeah :P

I did not have any other buff besides my birth buff which only gave +1.

Then I guess the poison apple decreases defense by .3 :P

Hmmm...I think at later levels the birth buff gives +2 defense..

Yes that is true but at my current level I am only suppose to have +1. Later I get +2 then eventually +3.

most do not give +3 or -3
but they give % of your current attack/defense...
