Question about "Penguins". (directed towards mods)

Why and how did you decide to call topics "Penguins"...I've been wondering this ever since I joined the site. All I see is mods throwing around the "penguins". So can a mod please explain to me why and how this penguin "thing" originated?

It would be better off if you don't know. Lets just say we have "someone" on the team that at a very young age they were kidnapped & tortuted by a group of evil penguins...
