suicide is stupid since you only get one life but if your life blows like Sasuke's (before he became a ninja) sure go for it ;)

Kiba tried to kill himself once in the Sasuke retrival mission to take out that one guy who morphed inside him. And it is very courageous... I think. >>

Pretty much.

And as a matter of fact, Chouji also risked his life in the fight with Jiroubou as he couldn't take that third pill.

I loved that ark. :D

But to my knowledge no character has killed themselves. Is this a theoretical topic?

Do Naruto characters go by Bushido code? I don't think they do, their are so many surenderings and so little hari karis  :roll:

If you kill yourself for the sake of taking out the enemy, who could harm more people, maybe... but not for failed missions or some honor crap like that... FIGHT TO THE DEATH!

Yes, a few characters did kill themselves. For instance Kakashi's Father did. And not to take out the enemy with him.

and that, my friends... is incredibly stupid... I mean... he could have easily done much more in life if he hadn't prematurely ended it...

Now, if he was going to die anyway, taking the enemy out with you is reasonable... but suicide for failing a mission is just... oi...

Everything except for the its the coolest thing ever is true for me.
I think that hatake sakumo suicided out of love because the villagers were giving him "the eye" and Sakumo knew that kakashi was more importatnt to the village so he suicided and that stopped the villagers giving kakashi "the eye". I prefer to think the noble cause  ^^

Oh come on... honestly, if people are giving me "the eye"... they can get over it... It's like... hmmm... get stared at for a year or two... or commit suicide, practically leaving my son on his own, emotionally scarring him for life... leaving the only possible way for him to bounce back is for his best friend to die so he can realize an important lesson I could probably teach much easier...
