Well, for what little contents my statement holds, I thing Sharingan+Gates together may be a bit broken. If the flawless limiter goes away, that combo will be amazingly harsh

The donations are fine, so if a few leave bored to death, the impact should not hit that hard on the survival of the server.

You could do that by:
1) Checking the SL wiki (in a MotD a few days ago)
2) When you get to the available DK number, and the secrt cave opens up, then you get a description of them (short of spoilers)

So there is no use for the MOTD popping up, I think it puts some load on the server which it not needed.
Some people might be used to clicking to check the MOTD, but for now, it is what you have to do.

why not make it an option in the preferences to chose if its a pop up or not? is that possible?

it's on a bad location, a setting was the best I could do.

currently, as I see *nobody*  realized it, it IS again a popup. I wanted to have as many for that poll as possible.

the MotD hasnt appeared by itself on my pc for many many moons because of my pop-up blocker, and it hast turned white ewithe, i was unaware that there was a wiki page. i apolagize, i shall go gheck it out now.
