Dude.

A handful of floor mates and some people they invited from out of town just went to a party. The guy who was supposed to get them in didn't show. They're headed to the frats now. I'm sitting here laughing because they don't have invites anywhere else, and now they're just roaming around looking for something so the night won't have been wasted [told by the couple of people who gave up and came back defeated], and they won't have wasted money on last minute costumes [like they tried to make me buy and have me come with]. I on the other hand, have a few standing invites to go partying with a few guys who are in frats, as well as these two girls in different sororities, none of which would require me to make any effort to dress up.

Nope. It's just that the Cal/UCLA game was this weekend, so a bunch of people went down to LA.

So, they're just throwing normal parties, and people can dress up if they want, but they don't have to.

Also, my friends didn't get in anywhere, because they didn't know where things were happening, and even got denied from the gay frat. No, seriously. It literally is a fraternity meant for only homosexual males.

Well we do...

I managed to make friends with a lot of frat guys/sorority girls, and because I don't live in the same unit as them, they invite me to the parties all the time so we can hang out. I don't go to the parties often, but I go to where they live often enough to still be friends with them/keep getting the invites to all the stuff.

All we have is the colleges where the on campus students live. They have big parties and that, but really it's only for them.

The only people that really need it here, are those who come from outside Brisbane, whereas I just have to catch a train and bus, takes between 30-60 mins depending on the day.
I don't get the on campus living really.

Well, for me it is.

I pay less than $2800 a year for everything. And that's with meal plan.

My work-study covers $4000, so I'm getting paid to go to college by the University/government, and won't have to pay off loans for now.
