Itachi looks a lot different than the last time his Sharingan was inactive.
Last time, his eyes looked like Sasuke's.

That is because he is blind now.

Edit: Also it is lmost set in stone that Itachi will die. Notice that every time an Akatsuki member lost their cloak in battle they died.

Seriously? I never noticed that.

Yep, Hidan lost his somehow againstt Shikamaru, so did Kakuzu (He removed his on his own). Deidara did when he did the giant explosion and Sasori did it to show he was a puppet.
