How does that work?
« on: March 16, 2008, 03:24:28 AM »

So I was attacked while I was away.  I go to get back at the individual, and it says I "dare not attack such a young foe".

I'd like to disagree.  I do dare, and I'd do it if the mechanics didn't get in the way.

How's that work?  He can nail me while I'm away, but I can't return the favor?  I say he isn't such a young foe if he can peg my character.

If he's so young, why would he dare attack a stronger foe?  I don't think that's fair, and if it bothered me any more I'd say it was mechanics abuse.

While I do find it annoying, I'll just have to wait for him to rank up.  Unless he's a sitter, in which case I suggest making it possible for the restriction to go both ways; not only can you not attack those much weaker than you, but much stronger as well.  While the player won't care as death has no serious, permanent punishment, I'm sure the character (if they were real) would.

It was already voted on, and people said no to it.
I hate to say it, but you are just gonna have to deal with it.

*snicker*

find a clan, if you are in one, find someone  to kill him for you...
I believe you may find also a mercenary sitter who'd do it for you....

I do RP, actually.  But it's frustrating when others don't.

And hiring someone to do it is a fallback, even if it's one I hate to turn to.  It's much more satisfying to do it myself, but if I can't because of mechanics I'll just deal with it another way.

Thank you for the responses..

Think about a way that will not be abused =) and we may talk.

Consider what multiplayers do to get EXP and whatnot.

The solution is easy - don't get killed by people with less DK than you.

The solution is easy - don't get killed by people with less DK than you.

Kinda hard to do that when, while I have been busy ranking up (which involves starting at level one and working my way back up the ladder) I get killed around... oh, level eight or nine.  Maybe ten.  Can't really remember now, it's not like I make note about what level I was at.  And he's sitting at a maxed level of fifteen.

His advantage was more hitpoints, stronger weapon and armor, and a higher attack and defense due to level.  I'd love to have rank be the deciding factor in a fight, but I can see people complaining about that.  It would at least give sitters a little motivation to rank up, instead of camp out.

A level 15 player can't attack a level 8 to 10 player, and having a higher rank gives you more attack in a pvp.
I also have this problem, when I am level 14, level sitters attack me and I lose, my solution, try to evade staying at those levels
