Hmm...how about this,

if a good guy prays he/she might opens their eyes & find some gold (100 or so) or a gem on the altar, "God must have noticed your good deeds & you walked away with greater faith" & your "good" poin

Yep, the 3 game days seems harsh though.

But if it's put into the game, I can live with 3 days without a visit to church... Just like in my real life.

I actually like this idea now that the second update was.. I'd give this one a shot.

Hm, basically you have a temple (temple of light & darkness) which lets you become more good by basically one click (small random chance it does not).

if you are good, it will just give you gold/gem.

Another option that can be added into the temple of forgiveness,

Ask the priest about salvation. The priest will give you a rough picture of just how good or evil you are (something like talking to tenten/lee in the ramen shop)
